One of the most emotionally impactful films I've ever watched. You only have so much time on this Earth, and you need to spend it doing something that you find meaningful. However you must also have the ability to be able to have a meaning behind what you are doing. Just because you find something meaningful does not mean there is any actual meaning behind what you are doing. Finding that meaning is the most gracious gift you can ever grant yourself.

To Gaspar Noe: You made one of this decades most disturbing, sickening, disgusting, uncomfortable, horrid films of the decade... And I absolutely loved it.

Wind River feels like the kind of movie that in 10 years nobody will remember. Every aspect about its presentation that is good is complemented by an aspect of its presentation that is bad. Ultimately, it's just unremarkable, and kind of bland. To delve further into this, I'd like to express what exactly it did right and did wrong. Right: - Cinematography, the choice to over expose some scenes was really a smart choice, and added to the film's style - Jeremy Renner is a great actor - The scenes without music where powerful - The effects involving blood where great - Directing was pretty great - It was pretty well written Wrong - The conversations where boringly edited - Elizabeth Olsen was terrible - The scenes with music were cheesey and stupid - The snow effects looked like **** - The choice to "show what happened" would've been much more powerful if it was explained in that one scene on the mountain, rather than shown. (at least imo) - There were some really corny scenes, particularly the one where Jeremy Renner was talking about his daughter. Sorry for the scattered thoughts, but it's 10:13 and I really can't write anything cohesive.

Slice is a **** mess. The film making and production is Television Grade, which makes sense, considering that it was initially intended to be such, from what I can gather. The same goes for the acting. This quality is worst exemplified by the fact that it has no clue who the main character is, just like a television series, where you have the freedom to switch back and forth between characters. It takes 39 minutes for the plot to get rolling, which is 47% of the movie. Chance the "Actor", despite being heavily marketed as being in the movie, is in maybe 8 minutes of the movie. Not really a criticism, just pointing it out. The last 22 minutes of this movie only mean anything if you care about anything, which you have no reason to do. If there is anything that I enjoy about this movie, I though the practical effects looked pretty great, and where used sparingly. That was probably the most intelligent choice made in this film. Other than that, it was a crock of utter unenjoyable ****

First Act - 6/10 Second Act - 6/10 Third Act - 10/10 Seriouslly, that was probably one of the best endings I've seen to any movie ever. This film is a very cute, and initially doesn't strive to be anything better than above average. However, it grows into quite a fantastic little film. If I have any issue the soundtrack sounded a little to similar to Hausu at points, but overall, this was just sweet. I want to watch this one again.

I am floored. This is probably the first time I've ever watched a film and had absolutely no clue how to feel about it. I honestly don't know if this is a 10/10 or a 1/10. I just have no **** clue. This could honestly go either way. I seriously can't tell if this is my favorite movie of 2018 or not. What the ****

Is Gotti the worst movie of 2018? No. I think that Gotti is quite possibly the most subversitve and well written works of media of the 21st century. Every descision of its presentation is meant to mislead the audience into thinking that it is some kind of "bad movie", however it is clear through aspects of film making that it is meant to be a deconstruction of modern and ninetys gangster films. However, first I want to list of the good qualities before I get into the analysis of this work of genius. First, the directing is top notch and mistakes are clearly used to immitate the gangster films of Martin Scorsese. For example there is a sequence that is just straight up a riff of The Departed, but it does it in a way that's meant to mislead you as in audience member into thinking that it's just a rip off, rather than a riff. Now, lets talk about the gun violence which is genuienly well done, every shot splatter of blood leaves the audience disturbed and sickened. It works perfectly on a level of presentation. Speaking of the presentation of Gotti, the story is framed through the scene of John Gotti Sr. talknig to John Gotti Jr., and it's similar to Nymphomaniac in terms of presentation. This is because the scenes deliever subtle commentary on the scenes being played throughout the movie. I won't spoil them becasue they are easy enough to inerpret, and legitmately fascinating once you understand them. I rewatched multiple scenes just to derive meaning from the scenes. It's quite fascinating how this film is frequently misenterpeted as being garbage, yet the sound track is clearly a parody. I mean, there are compositions ripped straight from older gangster films. I could ramble on and on but, the truth is, Gotti is the Black Dynamite of gangster films, it's a parody of the genre, and the things that are apparently problems are really just intentional goofs. It's a work of genius coming from a place of heart and I loved it. I truly want to watch it again and I think it's a great movie.

2018's Suspiria manages to be both a faithful remake to the original and, it's own thing entirely. The film's color palate is in direct contrast to the original along with many other things. Suspiria expects you to understand what is going on based on your knowledge of the original and, with that in mind, it allows the movie to cut out a lot of the exposition and, dive straight into the heart of the insanity at the core of the film. Literally aspect of this film is fantastic and, to say more would to spoil the experience.

Critters is an absolute joy to watch. For a film that is so clearly a rip off of Gremlins, it manages to actually meet the quality of the original.

Bad Times at the El Royale is a cleverly written film that takes it's time to get to the meat of it's story but, that is just fine. In a culture that demands fast and mindless films BT@TER is refreshing. Granted it isn't the most expertly crafted film you can see in theaters but, it certainly gives enough of a **** and, is overall pretty good.

Larry Cohen & Sacha Baron Cohen in 2006 released Borat, on of the most popular comedies of the early 2000s. It was followed up by Bruno, which was way less popular. I'm shocked that this was the movie that people decided to just say: "It's homophobic garbage and, isn't funny." The presentation of this film is absolutely fantastic. Everything is presented in a way were you understand the tone of the scene and, if something is ridiculous, it's presented as such. (So the entire film) The film making is well done for the most part. What makes this film leagues better than any other pile of garbage is that the scenes flow from one to another really well, to a fantastic degree. I never felt like the story was just stopping for a prank, the prank furthered the story in some minor way. It call connects together like lego bricks. Not to mention the performance from Sacha Baron Cohen was fantastic. He never breaks character and never once does anything feel unnatural or like it doesn't fit. If I had one issue with this film, it would be the camera placement. I mean the film is being presented as a documentary but, certain parts are just plauged with too many cuts. This issue disappeared as the film went on but, was still present. Also, it is curious how Bruno supposedly obtained most of this footage even though the people were people who he had offended or what not so, that was kind of weird. Overall, this is about the best a mainstream comedy of this nature could be and, I'd reccomend it with the stigma if you are easily offended, don't watch it.

Fahrenheit 11/9 was a decent effort from Michael Moore. It isn't as good as his earlier works but, still shows some talent. The story is very well written and, it's very well researched. The big problem is it is hampered by how poorly paced it is. Don't get me wrong, it's still watchable but, I wish it could've been more tightly paced.

This is by far the best of Dario Argento's movies. It has a fantastic sound track with a fantastic mystery. The main character is very entertaining to watch and the film making is fantastic.

Dario Argento's eye for the cerebral and weirdly visual is perfectly captured in Phenomena, in my opinion, the best movie he made since his Giallo era.

Dumb. Stupid. **** The Chernobyl Diaries is a completely unspecial and trite film that has been made 600 times in 600 other forms. This is a factory movie with **** CGI, **** camerawork, **** directing, **** everything.

I saw this in theaters. I don't know why I do this to myself. This film in unfunny and bad in every single possible way. At least the people who wasted their time animating it got paid.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is grossly underrated. The film's atmosphere is eerie, dank and, grimly comedic. There is too much that is just too clever to explain in words. Check it out.

After The Evil Dead, Sam Raimi wanted to fix up the series and, create something different. A remake/sequel of The Evil Dead, Evil Dead II is one of the best comedies of the 80s.

The Evil Dead us one of cheesiest and, stupidest horror films ever made. However it comes from a place of heart, so to speak, The heart of Sam Raimi. This is an absolutely amazing piece of cinema that is good but, not great. I can't really describe it to you.

It's complicated... I really like the directing, acting and writing but, there are issues with the way it's shot that I just can't deny. As much as I love the storytelling and Claire Foy's fantastic performance but, there are also certain scenes that didn't need to exist. The cinematography was great at times and times were it wasn't done really well.

The Thing is an absolute masterpiece of a horror movie. The only horror movie I think that might be on the same level or better is The Shining by Stanley Kubrick. (Yes I know that's a cliché) Every little detail is so fine tuned in this movie. It's honestly hard to believe that John Carpenter made this movie because the majority of his career are just mediocre blockbuster horror movies. So where do I begin? First the acting. The entire cast is great with every actor delivering their lines and perfectly conveying the emotion they need too. There isn't really any cheese in the performances. Next, the practical effects. Need I say more? It looks incredible and kicks the ass of most of the practiacal effects of the time except for maybe The Fly. Even the lesser talked about effects like the space ship look great. Bill Lancaster's script is absolutely fantastic and, leaves so much up to interpretation. There is a reason this movie is still talked about to this day. There are so many plot threads and theroies left up to the imagination. What happened at the end? Who destroyed the blood? Who was the first infected by the dog? It's absolutely fantastic and, I really can't sum it all up in words. The film making is fantastic. (I know I'm using that word too much shut up) I could spend all day dissecting each and every detail but, could never get to the bottom of this movie. It's absolutely genius and check it out. (But you probably already have)

I happened to recall hearing about a year ago, when I first watch "Under the Skin", there existed a movie from the 90s that it took the concept from. Fast forward to now and, I hear that the film in question was "Species". From a purely conceptual level, Species has a great premece. A woman who goes around seducing and killing people. That's about were the good in the writing ends. Every character is completely flat and definied by what they do in the story. Main character, knows where the alein is, love intreset, exposition and, death fodder. If you've seen species, you know exactly who each character is based on that description. Also the alein who is evil. The acting is actually pretty decent overall. Nothing crazy great or crazy bad, just some solid performances that keep this movie above rock bottom. For how barren the material the actors are working with, they end up doing a decent job. So, in that sense, the acting is impressive I guess. The special effects and make up, when they are done practiacally, end up looking pretty great. At least up until the film's climax when everything devolves into mid 90s cgi. I guess they might've looked good for the time but, they've aged poorly. However, the practical effects in the brief dream sequences look very good. It's definietly reminicent of Alein but, go figure since HR Giger designed the alein in this movie, so no shock there. The camera work and cinematography is the millionth thing in this movie that falls into the category of "Just alright". "Just alright" ends up being the word I'd describe most of this film with. Very little of it is done in a way that is special. However, the reason to watch this movie is because it's really funny bad. So, I honestly reccomend watching this if you are a fan of Under the Skin because you can see how it improved and evolved on this concept.

This movie is absolute unwatchable **** It is the most self indulgent piece of **** I've ever seen. In my opinion Kevin Smith was never really some master visionary and director but, Tusk really re-enforces my stance. The first 30 minutes of this movie were completely fine. Nothing really exceptionally good, they were kind of annoying but, relatively inoffensive on a film making sense. After the first flashback the movie devolves into trash. It has maybe 35~40 minutes of actual story and about 1 hour of nonsense. All of the acting is terrible, the writing ****, it all ****. Had it not been for the first 30 minutes of mediocrity, I would've given this movie a 1/10. If it hadn't been for the 60 minutes of bull****, I would've given this movie a 5/10, so I figure I should meet somewhere in the middle.

Boring/10, nothing happens in this film. It's 100 minutes of nothing happening and some **** rambling on to ghosties.

This movie is absolute garbage. Oliver Assayass. I'd rather Oliver A-DIE-yass than watch another one of his movies. The acting from everyone but Binoce in terrible and, even she has her slip ups at times. The story is uninteresting and, this whole project was just a horrible idea.

This movie looks absolutely beautiful. I would love to have the skills of this movie's cinematographer. HOWEVER, there is literally nothing else to this movie that stands out as exceptional.

This movie is what I consider the best in the trilogy. It is simply a fantastic action film that improves upon all the weak elements of The Evil Dead and Evil Dead II. If you think those movies look like garbage, this one is shot like an actual movie and, had incredible costume design. The humor is more centralized in the film and, it gives up the consent that this franchise was ever scary by making everything so ridiculous. I don't need to muse on about this movie because If you're interested in it you've already seen it.

The Jungle Book is a completely average movie yet, because this is made by the "gods" known as Disney it gets spammed with 10/10 Reviews on this website. As for the film I'd certainly give it a point for some of the creature design. However whenever Baghreea specifically talks it freaks me out because of how uncanny his movements are. People are also praising Mowgli's actor for some reason even though he ****. As for the sequence of events it's completely predictable. As soon as they would introduce a scene you could tell how it would end. As for the Music it was okay. The problem was it appeared 2 times in the film. I must admit I liked both songs even without seeing the original. As per usual with these types of movies the cast is a cast of all celebrities and, one new guy isn't that surprising. The problem is they aren't playing human characters and, whenever these animals talk they just sound like the actors. Who wants to talk about the scene with Scarlett Johansen? I know I do! This scene is really creepy because Scarlett often uses certain elements of her body (her **** to enhance her performances. After seeing movies like Under the Skin where this works it really ruins the experience to know this actress normally does "sexy" performances. It seems very creepy that she is doing this to a Young Boy. That's more of a personal preference but, I feel it's still worth mentioning. Anyways, that's about all I have to say about this movie and, how average it is.
