This puts Mordhau to shame. Is it simpler? Yes. Does that make the game any less fun? Hell no. Running into battle, I wielded a giant axe and swung wide, accidentally hitting a teammate but also slicing through two enemies before they land a blow on us. The one closest to me swings erratically and I lift the axe and bring it down on his head, killing him. His friend charges me but I quickly block his attacks and catch him with a slash - but suddenly an oilpot gets thrown at us and we both go ablaze. In the heat of the moment, thinking I'm already dead, I simply jump through the wall of fire and rush the enemy I engaged earlier and cut him down in the madness. Reinforcements were right behind him and make their way to me - swords branded and in the midst of swinging. And in the fury of the moment I swing wide again and slash all three before getting hacked to pieces in their next barrage of attacks. And that's only ONE moment of the match in this f**king masterclass of a multiplayer game - only one point off for not having crossplay lobbies implemented. Tl:dr - this game is amazing and so much better than chiv 1 or mordhau

Save your money and wait. And if you already got **** in to pre-order like me, refund while there's still time like I did. This game should not have been released in this state, especially on consoles. So far it's been alright on PC but still have immersion breaking bugs. I will buy again... down the line eventually, when this game is actually ready.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. Back when I first actually finished the game, the experience at most was a 7/10 for me. I enjoyed the setting and story, being a big fan of medieval history, but struggled with the usual bugs and graphics issues. However, after playing again especially after Warhorse released a 'Royal' edition, I have to wonder - how the hell did I ever beat this piece of trash in the first place?! This game is incredibly BROKEN, STILL. It even feels worse! Also after all this time, they couldn't be bothered to at least make sure the game performed okay on console - they haven't done jack sh** to optimize it better! The DLC supplied as well was garbage, fluff to keep the devs from working on the real issues - the game is just flat out broken at parts, with bugs that stop you from completing quests entirely. It's like the entire team forgot how to bug test after release. I got up to the big battle of the Cuman/bandit hideout and just ended up destroying my copy of the game. Just shredding it to pieces. The amount of time put in just to see enemies respawn and kill your entire team and you, probably over 20 times, just drove me insane. Literally unplayable at this point now. Stick to the PC version if you can, and avoid the console ports at all costs.

A super fun and addicting game, and a worthwhile sequel to Retro CIty Rampage. My only critique is I wanted more! Hope maybe Vblank can add DLC content or something to expand the campaign someway. Don't wanna wait so long for another sequel!

It seems like I'm one of the titular happy few who've enjoyed Compulsion Games' second project. However, it's a smile that's waning as I look back after finishing the campaign. We Happy Few is enjoyable at parts for it's very well written story and presentation, however, gameplay wise it seems like Compulsion decided to change very little after seeing people's responses toward the disastrous and boring Early Access version. The survival mechanics as well as it's procedural generation level design were huge red flags and have remained so - their implementation in the game slows the experience down at best and is otherwise downright broken at it's worst. Their are three acts - Arthur, Sally and finally Ollie. Arthur's is by far the best and the longest. Sally's campaign is the worst by far, as her quests are extremely boring and her main survival mechanic (which I won't spoil) is way too inconvenient at times. Ollie's comes close to being as bad as Sally's but is only better by a small margin with a much more interesting story arc, and the benefit of his main survival quirk being easily manageable once enough supplies are in your hands. Either way, it sure does feel like Sally and Ollie's campaigns were last minute throw-ins for the developer to pad out the game a couple more hours. It would have been more interesting if their stories actually intersected and jumped us from character to character, instead of simply having you finish one's story to unlock the next. The PS4 version is playable, thankfully, which is why I even picked up the game on Day 1. However, the game is poorly optimized, a fault of both Compulsion and publisher Gearbox. The product should've been delayed, especially for PC as I hear of more bugs and crashes occurring on there instead of console - although I've had my fair share of 5 crashes on my first playthrough. We Happy Few was enjoyable, though I highly disagree with it's $60 price tag, especially in it's current condition. $40 should've been enough but Gearbox most likely pushed Compulsion into this direction for a console release. Some will hate this game no matter what for it's survival mechanics and that's more than fair. But if you're willing to push past that as well as some clunky combat and occasional buggy performance, their is a lot to like here. I'm disappointed for sure but I'd be damned if I didn't say I'm looking forward to whatever project Compulsion Games tackles next.

Wow... this game is a big disappointment. I originally decided to pre-order the game in it's collector's edition because I already knew the soundtrack was going to be kick-ass by the demo, and the game seemed already too awesome for words. The title alone draws a person in... but why the hell is this even called Gods Will Be Watching? What the hell kind of Gods are even in the game? The big problem with this is game is mostly false advertisement in the trailers - of which now are too damn short and uninformative really, something the devs made short for a reason. THIS GAME HAS NO BIG LIFE CHANGING DECISIONS ALMOST WHATSOEVER. It's no more than a simple time-management survival point n' click. And it can't even do that right, in the final terms. The story is a confusing, muddled, so-and-so sci-fi thriller about two space empires in the midst of civil unrest and hostility between them, but that's just a backdrop anyway. Most of it really centers around a terrorist group (and yes, no matter what good deeds these guys do, they are still damn terrorists) called Xenolifer, who are attempting to 'fight the system' who allows alien slavery by releasing an alien virus as a biochemical weapon on the xenophobic majority public. Again, bad solution which rightly labels them 'terrorists'. AND MOST OF THIS I NOT EVEN EXPLAINED CORRECTLY WITHOUT THE COMIC I GOT FROM PRE-ORDER. So blah blah, you play an undercover operative who attempts to thwart the plans of Xenolifer (the main leader is named Liam), but he feels that there is still good in him and his belief (proven wrong the third level basically). And then in comes the gameplay... which is basically the demo plastered over six levels. Nothing intuitive at all other then stuck-in-single-level situations, and must solve in correct amount of actions. When I found this out by the third level, I literally wanted to trash bin this whole game. But I can't! What's good in the game is the sweet electro soundtrack by fingerspit, as well as the awesome visual design in pixel art. But that's all really, it's not enough to justify the games existence. It could of totally been better, but it was a small idea and gameplay esthetic spread out to fit a full unintuitive narrative. Unfortunately, this is what I consider Devolver Digital's first failed game - almost nothing of it's overall expectation. Just frustrating gameplay, toppled over unlikable characters, mixed with more than 50% of the game's choices made meaningless (such as one character's reappearance the next level even after death). Never pre-ordering anything again.

Thank the heavens that no one was forced or **** into paying for this cheaply made trash. Cover based shooting is okay but when you are forced to do it because it's the your only option, this blows the gameplay. Bad mechanics, terrible aim and plain boring textures turns "No Man's Land" to "No Fun Land".

Payday: The Heist is actually a thrilling and fun game. The difficulty for it is ridiculously hard but that's the key as it makes you work to achieve and finish a heist. As you work hard to survive and wait for your objectives to finish, you really feel like your one of the robbers which is an amazing experience.

It's not that bad as a game. Even though it faces some technical problems and some references in gameplay of Dead Space (Not so much actually) this game is not half bad. Not a complete waste of time either as the gameplay is pretty standard and fun for a third-person shooter.

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days

If only story could define a game instead of controls. Kane & Lynch 2: Dog days is a mess of crime gaming put in with a shaky camera, bad controls but fun game play and interesting storyline. If you didn't play the original Kane and Lynch, it was about two crooked crime gangsters who are betrayed by their leaders and forced to recover an amount of money for the clan. The first game does not land on my positive side as the story was less good written and the controls destroyed every fun aspect of the game. This game instead fixes it's controls but only slightly and many times I find myself slipping up and messing my concentration. Dog Days tells the tale after Dead Men in which now the Schizophrenic psychopath James Seth Lynch now living in the slums of Shanghai with his new lover Xiu. Now working for a criminal named Glazer, Lynch invites his old pal Kane to come to Shanghai and help him with a weapons trade. Things go to hell as the duo accidentally kill the daughter of a corrupt government official and are targeted by many gangsters and crooks. The story is more enjoyable as it reminds you of an old time crime movie. I have to say though as the whole game rather falls short and the ending had me cursing wildly with it's stupid and idiotic cliffhanger. Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days is not a great game and was never expected to be. I can appreciate it's try to be a thrilling action shooter but fails badly but measures up to a short game that will probably take a week to finish.
