Finally something that scratched my Splinter Cell itch. The best game of the year so far, like playing a bond film with so much possiblity to expand in future **** to mention everyone should add throwing empty guns and shooting guns out of someones hads as a baseline. a Homerun.

This pains me to write because I'm OBSESSED with Remedyverse. I do enjoy popping back into the oldest house, but the game is thin. It looks to engage the type of populations that flock to Rainbow Six Siege or COD: SPEC OPS with fairly rote missions and weapons and power upgrading as the motivation to keep playing. This kind of skips what Remedy is great at: lore, story, and world-building. This is an area that could be remedy'd ;) in future updates, but it would require adding depth to the mission and mission types outside of the five playables currently available. Ill keep playing for a bit because its included in Game Pass but I'd probably be disappointed if I paid outright for this game.

It's got bugs and connection issues, so let me get that out of the way. Its Season 0, and it takes a lot of practice to get past being just not terrible. Its really fun though. It's got three traditional modes: 3v3, 4v4, 5v5 with no bots. So with time, connectivity and bugs will be ironed out. It has the Tecmo World Cup '98 vibe meets Rocket League. My biggest pets peeve so far is that practice doesn't allow you to retry the practice mode, it resets to home screen, which discourages you from practicing. The hardest part is remembering to constantly engage your right joystiq not just for field of view but its how you aim your shots, While passing can be done directionally with the left thumbstick. Will be sinking too many hours into this after the kids are in bed.
