The Dark Ages – Revelations absolutely delivers. Eternal's movement + The Dark Ages' combat is perfection the Cosmic Realm is incredible, and the AI creates some of the best FPS combat I've played. Loved the music homages. id Software cooked. 9.9666/10. Rip and Tear! Surprised i haven't heard anyone comment how freakin visceral and solid the OG DOOM levels are in Revelations. the 93 shotgun just SLAPs and the sounds are so damn crisp. I would easily pay any dollar amount for DOOM to be ported into this engine as it is represented here. Love! On my 2nd playthrough of DOOM the Dark Ages Revelations and man the level of detail and art in these levels are just jaw dropping. I've spent so much time just admiring all the work and taking it **** software you cooked so hard!

The Ancient gods has the most engaging combat of any DOOM game. We all agree that the game is harder but so was Eternal when you first played it. I mean would you rather the game not challenge Slayers and all we got was just new environments to play through because to me I think that would have been disappointing. I think the game is generous to players with BFG ammo all around if you want to make an encounter easier. The game is not unfair -- everytime you die, you know what you did wrong or what you need to improve on. Whether it's movement, positioning, monster priority or pumping out more dps it's all there for you to analyze. Also, it's not a bad ide a to play the game in a lower difficulty on the first run-through to learn the mechanics and limit any frustration that you may have. Every Slayer can improve some part of their game and that is when any skilled base game feels the most satisfying.

The best FPS combat of all time. The game is beautiful and plays fast. Once you get down the mechanics you feel like a FPS GOD.

Well about 1hr into the Campaign I can already tell you, this one is going to go out of the Ball Park. If this is your first FPS you have won the lotto if it isn't you are going to be treated to the best looking and playing FPS since the original Doom. If you like shooting hellspawn and lots of gore with an amazing soundtrack this is your game. Everything oozes polish here from all the detail in the textures, screams in the distance to the ambient sounds you can tell they put their heart and soul into this title and wasn't about to F-UP this iconic of iconic franchises. It runs well on mediocre hardware the game is highly optimized and looks Stunning!
