beautiful, mysterious game but for me completely spoiled by tedious bosses. I eventually gave up after wasting one too many hours trying to beat one of the harder ones. A pity.

A really excellent reworking of a charming old classic. It retains the original gameplay, builds on them, and balances it all together in a way that makes for a fun and addictive game. I love the colours, shapes, level design and general feel of it. If you enjoy Sonic style classic scrolling platformers, you'll also love this one. A fine game at a very fair price.

Absolutely fantastic old-school blast-up which fans of Robotron 2084 will love! Buttery smooth feel, fabulous visuals, and what tops it off for me is the sound and music which are absolutely superb and really absorbing. So much to enjoy in the game, it oozes class and I cannot believe I've just downloaded it in a sale for £0.79! Great job, so much fun and such a tribute to classic gaming but all brought up to date on the PS4.

WRC has been great for many years now, but this one seems the best I've played, it's just so intuitive and fun right away. It's difficult, but feels so natural and playable, even the handbrake turns feel right, and not too hard to execute. It looks amazing, but then my PS4 Pro one already did, so it's hard to gauge. I use a Logitech G29 and it felt brilliant immediately, all I did was reduce the level of force-feedback as I prefer a more relaxed experienced, but the nuance of the wheel and pedals was bang-on right away. Brilliant game!

If you love Robotron 2084, buy this immediately! Frantic, insane blast-up that takes all the goodness of Robotron and adds layers of variation and tp that same classic dose of arcade fun. I've spent hours and hours playing this, it's absolutely fantastic!

A fascinating, eerie game with a clever storyline and believable characters. The graphics are super-realistic and really draw you in, I particularly enjoyed the mysterious observatories and the sense of mystery and thick atmosphere. It's somewhat of the walking sim genre, so might not be for everyone, but I found it gripping and really good fun. I was delighted to manage to complete the game.

A stunning adventure with a beautiful game-world and tons of atmosphere. Puzzles are engaging without being too annoying, you can progress through with a degree of effort. Combat becomes complex, and it is annoying battling bosses before you’re able to really get the hang of things (I still haven’t after many hours), but it’s very satisfying when you get it right. However, the game has five difficult levels, and you can change mid-game, what excellent decision-making by the devs, meaning everyone can enjoy the game whether novice or hardcore, whether gaming many hours a week or just a few. In addition, regular saving and manual save means no frustration of redoing stages – again, just so welcome. The enemies and bosses look incredible, and Kena herself is cute. The only elements I’m not so keen on are the uber-American cartoon cheese of the children and Rot, but that’s just my personal opinion! A fabulous game; entrancing, absorbing and just pure fun.

Fantastic to finally get a scrolling, tiered non-sim pinball game for the 4 in the spirit of Dragon's Fury/Revenge and Crueball on the Megadrive (all three, great games). This one's a ton of fun, it's packed with features and things to do on the table, it's chaotic, it's playable, it's amusing. The music and effects are well-judged and the whole thing is very addictive. It can get a little difficult to follow what's going on, you can lose sight of the ball, but the manic feel is part of its charm, A great addition to PS4's library!

I was going to rate this an '8', but then remembered I paid £3.99 for it, making it a complete bargain, so I've upgraded to a '9'. If you like twin-stick arcade blast-ups, you cannot fail to enjoy this smooth, enjoyable game. The controls are tight and responsive, and the aesthetic style really cool with its simple shapes and constant explosions of colour. I'm only up to level 10 out of 80, and whilst there isn't a vast variation, it's still fun and highly addictive. Furthermore, as you gain power-ups and things get more chaotic, the game gets more involving and tense. There are three difficulty levels and apparently you can select/change these within a single game. It has a different feel to other similar games, hard to describe, but kind of 'softer' to play. All in all, this aligns with other great twin-stick games like Atomine (superb) and Geometry wars (we all know about that one!). And at such a low price, it's one to grab for arcade fans.

A beautiful, enthralling, amusing yet atmospheric adventure. The scores are deceptive, it's like an independent film which indie film lovers will give a '10' to but not so much the Hollywood-following masses - I know which side I'm on! It's intriguing, non-frustrating, alluring and so good to look at. I loved the game from start to finish.

This is a game that deserves its hype and constant chatter on social media. It's a totally brilliant, proper adventure game, with everything in balance, everything nicely gauged. It's a delightful game world, utterly convincing, with a tremendous sense of atmosphere and mystery. It's a memorable, thought-provoking game and a pleasure to play; one can get quite lost in it. The only irritation I had was that I read an interview with the designer and he explained the meaning. Whilst really interesting, there's no way the gamer would have grasped the roots of the game, so I felt a little cheated having pondered my own ideas of the game's meaning for some time!! All in all though, just fantastic. I only wish there were more proper adventure games like this.

Beautiful, absorbing game world, with a dreamy and smooth flying mechanic that's fun and not annoying. It starts off very mellow, lots of exploring and not too much action, however after a while you encounter caves and other curious areas with some great, satisfying puzzles. I loved the game, though did get a little lost and cheated a little to grasp what I should be looking for.

Fantastic, absorbing, crazy game. It's old-school yet modern, it plays so smoothly, and the visuals and feel of the game draw you in again and again. I cannot fathom some of the critic low scores, they really need to understand gaming history, arcades and context. At the price I paid, this is easily a 10. Superb game!

Fantastic game which honours Defender, respects it, brings it into the modern era. Everything about it is brilliantly done; it's smooth, playable, addictive, it looks incredible, the difficulty curve is so well-judged. Housemarque seem to have this ability to make games which are insanely addictive and challenging, yet so much fun they're never annoying. Nex Machina is another example. Resogun is an absolute festival of arcade fun, and deserves attention even years after release.

This is a marvellous twin-stick arcade blast-up! It's so addictive, has many cool game modes, insane scoring, and intense challenges. The visuals really draw you in, and the screen can end up total chaos, sometimes you'll wonder how your brain can even manage. It's silky smooth to play and designed by people who really understand the genre. If you love other superb twin-stick games like Nex Machina (incredible!) and Atomine (classy, chilled and a bit different) then you'll also love this. GREAT game!

Classic, twin-stick arcade fun but with a cool, original look and feel to it. It's crisp, playable, extremely addictive, and although it's a challenge, you always feel you're in with a chance. It has imaginative enemies and rooms, but there's a sense of subtlety to it, it's very artistically and tastefully done. I loved this game and felt the devs really understood the genre, and how to make a modern classic. A brilliant twin-stick arcade game!

Fabulous tribute to Eugene Jarvis and Robotron 2084, a game of utterly spellbinding visuals, incredibly smooth gameplay, and pure fun. Everything about it is all so polished, complete and glorious, you can see they really went out to work with Eugene to create some kind of peak-level experience for a twin-stick arcade blast-up; even the music is sublime. I watched the documentary "The Name of The Game" which was utterly fascinating and made me appreciate Housemarque even more; what a story. This game is a straight 10 for me, it's absolutely marvellous and just massively entertaining and enjoyable in so many ways.
