Reckless Getaway8
Feb 18, 2012
Hey, it's a really good game! It has a fairly not-so-original concept of running away or smashing the cars but heck! It's still fun! :) The gameplay mechanics are intuitive and responsive, (as I said) the "fun-factor" is there buuut...
1. The game doesn't look so good. Especially the UI. It is h o r r i b l e ! Please work on that in the future productions. 2. Game progression. I've played it being tired every day after work (and still having fun!) so I've scored 1-2 stars in each **** still I've passed the whole game without a stop? There was no challenge what so ever. No side missions. No meta-game to pursuit... I was a shame. Still - a good game to play with!

Well... it's not very ambitious and it doesn't really tries to be. The idea was to deliver an old-school game to the iOS and the mission has been completed. Nice touch with the analog phone keyboard controls :)

It actually isn't all that bad. But the aiming system (support) is ridiculous. You could literally not use the aiming controls at all (just walk around) and shoot. :) I mean... ok... it's better that you hit the **** rather than you don't but there should be some challenge into it. - 2 for lack of diversification and that not all bonuses were included...

I'm a bit thorn because after playing original CtR it's very hard not to feel a slight deja vu :) But if you played it you may not want to play it all over again even though that those levels have been cleverly tweaked by new toys. BUT if you (by any chance) didn't played a lot CtR this is (imho) a better version of the original. -1 for selling this as a new product rather than a DLC or an update.

Temple Run6
Feb 5, 2012
This game is fairly well done but... 1) it isn't cute or even nice looking, 2) the sound is quite poor (especially the coin gathering feels "flat"), 3) missions are not stressed enough (and there is only one mission per run so you don't have any choice). The feeling of running is well delivered, gameplay is smooth but it's the psychology that differs this game from Jetpack Joyride.... well this and couple of hundreds of thousands sold units...

One game mode? No menu? Only 60 seconds? And this is... what? A game or a demo? It doesn't says it's a ****.... IT'S WEAK. What this game basically does it's copying the core gameplay from Bejeweled, it makes it less attractive and gives the player only one minute to play over and over again...

Flick Soccer!8
Feb 5, 2012
If you like soccer you should play this game! It has good functionality - unlike competition it is less realistic and more playable. Changing direction of the kicked ball while it's still in the air isn't normal but it's a gamechanger that makes this arcade the best mini game about kicking ball out there. :) Several, fun game modes, well-balanced difficulty. I've really enjoyed time spend on this game. Why 8/10 then... well that's a max amout of points that I can give for this idea for a game. Sorry. It's not so original a IB II or immersive as Dungeon Hunter II. It's simply kicking the ball.

Siege Hero6
Feb 5, 2012
This game adds few good, usable features to the angry-birds kind of gameplay and that is: zoom (precise aiming), one screen level and shooting without waiting for the structure to collapse after the first rock thrown. It's a plus but anything apart from that is a disadvantage. This game isn't cute, it isn't funny. Developers added to the feature list and substracted the fun-factor of the shooting at the same time.

If you like puzzles... there is a puzzle. The idea is quite simple so the game's usability is fairly good (apart from screen scrollbar!) but the possibilities and complications. To be frank this game is too complicated for me. Sorry. I'm busy, tired, frequently on the run... don't have much time for such a games. If they require thinking it should be rather 30-60 sec while on the second "world" this game offers so long and complex levels that I could slash some knights in IB II or ride a bike on BB in the same time I would finish analyzing this level. For me there is no enough fun in the first levels (and no clear metagame/ advancement system) that would motivate me to play further in this. More fun, less scrolling guys.

Feb 5, 2012
It's an interesting game. Clever, original with a little bit of humor (e.g. human + energy = wizard :). Nevertheless it's not so much fun. Many of the elements you can figure out but most of them are a result of guessing from a player's point of view. When there is still a few dozen elements you can memorise them and try to guess the connections but after the 60-70 (there are almost 250 to uncover) you are mainly trying few options and then waiting for a hint... Fun for a while.

Shake Spears!9
Feb 5, 2012
When I've started playing this game I thought that it offers really poor gameplay. It strives to deliver a simple paper-rock... kinda' gameplay that can be fun for a second but not much more. Nothing more wrong! Give this game a chance. There were a lot of things that could have been done wrong but developers nailed almost all of them. Unlike Dungeon Hunter 3 you don't need to play again and again the same level just to succeed after the 10th attempt. Here you can grind more just to buy yourself a different ability or bettter armour. It's tempting to use IAPs but you can do it on your own (it's not imba). Two things that were missed there. Final boss is ULTRA hard... :/ and resizing shows (it looks like crap). Other than this it's a great game for HOURS of fun! :)

This game is simply awesome. First and foremost the game mechanic is almost perfect. After hours and hours of gameplay you might have the feeling that you've actually learned something about driving a cross :) That's amazing. You don't need anything else here. Just take a great mechanic, simple physics, WICKED level design and well balanced checkpoint and rewarding system. It delivers! Thumbs up for the Baron!

It's cute, it's fun, it's good for your 8-year-old sister. Ok, alright. If you like puzzle-platformers you probably can enjoy this one too. With basic menu scheme and point-and-tap+abilities controls it's usability is fairly good and makes the game very accessible. Also kudos for cute graphic although the main character could be a gremlin or an astronaut because a chicken that is using bridges and portals doesn't make any sens and isn't all that funny... Maybe I'm exaggerating because ultimately this game is good and will give you challenge that you probably searching for. Nevertheless, it's not my type. Annoying music, not-so-satisfying riddles/rewards... = no motivation for playing it.

It's not bad. It offers many game modes. Adds up by additional slicing option. But (sorry guys) I'm a developer and this is a RIP OFF. So even though your game is fairly good. I'm impressed with what those guys squeezed out from unity - the game looks great (10/10 for graphics!) and this concerns the visuals alongside with the animations. Dialogs are not quite witty but they don't occur so often and the creators didn't manage to motivate me enough so that I would care much about the story. For me (a normal, usual player) it seems like I'm making my way through waves of enemies over and over again. It's like enemies->switch->enemies->switch->boss->chapter end. I also didn't like the weapons that they'd throw at me. I mean... who needs a shotgun when the ammo is short and most of the time you are fighting in the mid-range... I simply don't use it. Plus I feel that there should be a customisable aiding system on the iPhone... maybe not as strong as in CoD Zombies but guys! Give me a break. I'm in a bus - how I'm suppose to shoot a guy whose head is like 1 px on my screen?! Other topic is the menu not optimised for 3GS (blurred). All in all, good shooter, great graphics, average gameplay.

This game is actually very good! I was a bit worried when I saw such a classic title in the hand of a corporation but... it turned out surprisingly positive. The game offers three different game modes with some levels to choose from. Whole package is nicely wrapped up in an easy to use, clear, original menus. It has ranks, social support, origin, old-shool music. There is really not much negatives to point out! This is a professionally written and design cult game! I highly recommend it!

Snuggle Truck6
Feb 1, 2012
If you searched for an average game you've found it. Like the truck on those levels this game has its ups and downs. Advantages are easy to use controls and good idea about incorporating the fuzzies on the back of the truck. I've also enjoyed the menus although this way of developing them closes any possibilities for future localizations. On the upside it's actually quite fun to play. It really is. Unfortunately only for about 30 minutes in which you can pass through almost all levels (4 dif. set.) without much of a motivation to stop for a while and repeat any one of them. This game does not offer any interesting level design ideas throughout the whole "campaign"... none. You start by driving a car from left to right and you and that way. The only different thing is the amount of bumps along the way...

But a funny puzzle game based on a ragdoll physics...? :D LOL I like apps in which the main functionality is so fun to do and see that you don't need to pursue any missions, quests, story etc. That's the main feature of any FPS's and that is also good for blasting cute ragdols out of the cannon :) Great physics, funny elements, clever level design. Jan 31, 2012
Weird this game is. It's simple in it's design but the way it's presented makes a player feels like his controling some kind of super hero through sci-fi advanture RPG world... :) Every time it's magical how a game is far better than a sum of its parts. Graphic 6/10, audio 6.5/10, gameplay 8/10. I'm suprised but this game is actually good but don't expect much. :)

Cut the Rope8
Jan 31, 2012
Very vell designed, fun game. It's main advantage is a player's motivation. The moment you see this little monster you want to give him this darn candy and you feel genuine sadness if you don't manage to feed him (causes the long face)... It's kinda' incredible that only the cuteness of the character can influence the whole purpose of whether or not should I play the game.
Many levels, many funny ideas. Unfortunately when I see so many levels I get bored after several hours. If there would be any kind of metagame in this (like in mooniacs) the game could easily get 9 or 10.

Jan 31, 2012
THE HORROR! This game is horrible. It's the worst game of 2011 and the biggest scam in the industry that I've been exposed to. It's hard for me to believe that anybody plays this thing. And it's being ported to... everything. Why? 1) Really bad UI - everything is overlapping, some words are streached beyond the display range, unreadable.
2) Really bad gameplay design - gathering money in order to place turrets means in practice going up and down for 20 min just to be killed afterwards and start over again?! wtf?!
3) Really bad mechanic/usability - there are buttons for jumping and rotating camera (on iOS even for zooming even though everyone knows the gesture...). That's confusing and even more overcrowds the HUD.

Something went wrong. I've read a lot of positive reviews about this game but I wasn't so into it as I thought I will be. I don't quite follow the story - it simply does not seem interesting for me. Dialogs are average and animtalks are week. What I do like is the concept of the game, its art style/design and finisher animations - being a futuristic, "improved" badass feels good. Having multiple options in eliminating enemies feels good. But hiding curled up in the corner in order not to being shot feels,,, well I must say that if I would have such powers I wouldn't act like a total wimp. And what's with the old-school diablo-style inventory ?! He doesn't wear any backpack anyways?!

Jan 31, 2012
Let me start by saying that it's a special game. Civ V could go for a single player campaign like Anno series. Go for some tutorials + hours and hours of complicated mission forcing you to fulfill the screenplay writers idea. But that's not Civ V! It has tons of freedom in it's gameplay design and it is not ashamed to use it. You can play it for a week, you can play it for a month. You'll be thrilled to see your civilisation blossom.

You can be an innovative creator, have an original idea and good level design but it doesn't make your game accessible and fun for many people. That's a shame.... but entry barrier is too high for such a regular user as me. I've played it for a few hours and drowned in frustration... I could think about it more, I could watch the answer on the web but the difficulty level isn't the problem. It's the lack of motivation that prevents me from pursuing it...

E-sport frontier. Does it work for as a single player experience? Not as good as for the multi but still it delivers. :) Vivid units, rich gameplay and great level design. I've never been the biggest RTS fan but I like strategies that surpasses their genre and rather than offering a simple, mind-consuming strategy experience are able to give the player something to enjoy regarthless what it is. In WIII it's gameplay and unit characteristics (+ funny VO's). I recommend it not only for strategy fans.

Every other CoD game is more profitable than the previous one but this title is my favourite part. Additionally, it wasn't until Modern Warfare that I sunk into the multiplayer so hard :) Rewarding system in Black Ops wasn't so well thought and it lacked such impact that this game had. It's quite funny but I don't quite get this phenomena. I mean this game is fairly good but it's not attractive for me in any way. When I was playing it I actually felt lured more by the gameplay possibilities rather then the quests or the story and I think that this is its main problem. I wanted to steal cars, smash them, kill people, buy some guns and then kill more people, then defend from the tank... etc. :) This was fun. I wanted to have some fun and by doing those stuff I was getting what I've wanted even though that game wasn't fully designed in such a way?! Gameplay 8/10

Jan 31, 2012
Developer's decisions are weird sometimes. Replacing simple weapons stats with a description box... yyyy... haven't they read any design book? How does a pile of text make up for some easy and graphically-presented stats?! Than they replaced a good, interesting story-line with a simple gather-a-team-and-finish-them-all thing. In result the only two thing that I've remembered from this episode is that I've died at the beginning (nice one Bioware!) and then picking up some members of my team only to make some wrong decisions at the end and almost killed them then... xD The game is very good and I had a lot of fun but I don't agree with some decisions made there. Overall:

Graphics 10/10 Audio 9.5/10 (hate the death sound) Gameplay 9/10 (getting companions -> finishing the game)

I don't consider this to be the best game overall. It doesn't have the best graphics, quite good but not tremendus audio and I haven't followed the plot quite carefully. Nevertheless, it's the ONLY game so far that I've finished... three times in a row! And it's a RPG! Yes, it's been a while ago and yes - there weren't so many games around but still. The level of depth that this game offers was unprecedented at that time. I could play a game over and over again taking different decisions, different companions and have a lot of fun doing it. The amount of possibilities seemed endless and I haven't spend half a year playing a single player game since.

This is one the THE BEST game ever to be produced. It's a model example of environmental storytelling - when you see a room within Rapture you can figure out what has happened in it just by simply looking at it. There is blood, there is mess, there is extreme attention to details, inspiration and passion within those levels that simply spills out of this title. Batman: Arkham City: Lockdown6
Jan 23, 2012
I really like Batman. I'm not a fanatic but it's almost obligatory for me to at least try some movie or game related to this hero. Nevertheless this game is bad. Oh, it's bad. And it's not about the assets - character models are fairly good as well as decent audio and animations. Fighting is also quite nice + you get to throw a batarang from time to time. What hurts is the game design itself. I would recommend devs to a) test this app on casual gamers and b) write down or (better) draw a gameplay structure of this production... By combining those two elements I bet that something like this will come up:
1. starting enthusiastic (graphics, cutscenes and all..)
2. fighting, fighting, fighting -> dead
3. why the f#$% there is no checkpoint and I have to start all over again?!
4. fighting, fighting, fighting < OMG every enemy is 100% the SAME!>
5. dying in a 6-staged batte and starting ALL OVER AGAIN! NOOO!
6. Uninstall

I like this game but it's sad for me to see how little has been done where so much was possible. From the presentation's point of view everything is in its right place - the game is cute & funny it has couple of fun games to play and a lot of additional, redundant stuff to buy. What went wrong then? Well the core failure was the balancing of those elements. While there is just a "couple" of repetitive mechanics incorporated there is "a lot" of redundant stuff to buy. I actually don't blame the devs because that's probably the best decision to make when faced a deadline but it for the people that moves deadline that there should be more game in this game...

Jetpack Joyride8
Jan 22, 2012
It appears to me that more and more games are offering metagaming experience while imposing a necessary habituation to repeated failure. It's very clever if you come to think of it. Games are considered tedious and frustrating when a player is failing but if you make the failure an eminent element of the lower-level gameplay and offer him a better meta game he will be happy. And it works! Theory aside if you start ignoring dieing in the regular runs and start going for the mission objectives you'll find yourself playing this game for a week while commuting :) Unfortunately the story ends with the 15lvl and there is no more missions to go for... :(

As a complicated strategy it may be good. Maybe the best in 2011. But I'm a regular player that digests all genres and this game didn't appealed to me. I didn't like Trine only because I had no friend to play with. I get it now. It's a game for two. :) For me myself it's too "fairy tale" with it's childish plot and pretty art style. But if you loose the plot and focus on the visuals and cooperation this game shines (though it also gives a lot of room for exploits...). BIG kudos for the design and execution. It's the most beautiful scenery that you'll see in games. Unfortunately the story is weak and levels aren't so cleverly designed (look up LIMBO) as for the mechanic possibilities that are offered by the heroes. All together a great game to play with a female friend :)

I honestly don't know what's up with the negative reviews here. The game is a most profitable production in the history of gaming while everybody here are complaining. I get it that it's action and explosion all around and everybody already seen that in the previous reveals of this franchise but... so #@% what?! The game is FANTASTIC! Campaign is absolutely jaw-dropping and the multi allows you to fight, fight, fight rather than run, run, and die as in the BF3... Though it's less realistic for me it's much more fun to play!

Graphics and new animation system is undoubtedly the best in the industry. For me it's the top of 2011. But that doesn't make a game so good. No, no, no Gameloft! That's not the way! You had it with DH2 why did you called this spin-off a "DH3"?! That's not a slasher-RPG... that's heavily monetized arena battles. Hmm...
Oh ok. Let's try it.. [After a week] I had a really hard time in playing this up until I've payed 1.5EUR for some supportive cash. Gameloft is able to produce something great without copying other people's ideas. Dungeon Hunter one was flawed due to the tiring controls scheme but the second reveal corrects this mistake. It's great to use and give tons of fun but was a bit lengthily at the end of the campaign. This game came as a bit of surprise for me. The first one was a tech demo which was polished in patches but this one is a thrill. Having a lot more fighting styles to choose from, more diversification in the meta-game level + intriguing story. It doesn't get much better than this on the iOS!
P.S.
In the III part they should work more on the mechanic itself rather then diversifying it they should make it more "active" next time. I mean the core gameplay is still magic+block/evade/parry + attack. Maybe adding a choise on which part of body to attack?

At first I was very sceptical about the graphical design and character animations of this title but the immersion that this vivid worlds offers is unprecedented! You don't enter a location after a loading screen, you don't switch from jungle to icy mountain tops in seconds. You have to move your ass out of the house that you've just bought, mount your stolen horse and ride, ride and ride. Very good racing game. I'm really surprised that you can do anything more on the genre! Pluses: menu design, customization of racing style, head movement on corners, good game quality all around, good music
Minuses: hard to engage in this game for longer then an hour or two... not enough diversity and motivation I think
