Rise of Flight: The First Great Air War10
Mar 28, 2014
The very best WWI flight sim available! The planes are great, they all fly with their own characteristics. If you haven't ever played flight sims before, you will Love this after a modest learning curve. The graphics are great and game play is smooth. If you aren't willing to learn some flight technique and spend some time learning this very worth while game..... Then this isn't for You. Get an arcade game. I recommend this game.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 29

I like this game. I haven't noticed any glitches or play problems. I think you need very good hardware to play this with no problems. I don't like having to follow that spotter and have him call all the shots, but after playing through that mission you get away from that some at least. The new add-on for this game (Siberian whatever) is very good. I like it better than than the main game. It will cost you $9 and change for this add-on is the only drawback, but really that's not too bad because the main game was $29 and change. So, if you think about all the 50-60 dollar games coming out, you have only spent about $40 on this one. I really don't see why people want to trash this game with negative reviews, because this game isn't for everyone anyway. It's a good game if you like stealth and have patience. This game "Is Not" as bad as all these "0" reviews say. It looks like some kind of conspiracy to rag out this game.

Rise of Flight: Iron Cross Edition7

I bought this game on YuPlay. It is a very fun game, even though many of the planes are Not fully accurate and the actual in game flight is Not even close to actual flight of these wonderful old planes. I have a friend who actually owns a WW II P-40 and a WW I bi-plane, and I have been fortunate enough to have been up in both of these planes. The bi-plane doesn't jump all over the place when it is flying. It is actually pretty smooth after you take off, although there is vibration, and the is open to the wind and weather. It was a GREAT experience. I can just imagine bearing down on another of these planes in combat. These planes are touchy, and they did require maintenance. The Ones In This Game Need A Lot Of Maintenance!! They are hard to fly and you will need a descent joy stick or if you want to go All Out a stick and rudder pedals. It is a good game. My pilot friend told me that the tri wing planes planes handled better than the bi wing models. Anyway, that's my experience. I recommend the game because it is a fun game.... but Not an accurate flight sim.

Postal 2: Share the Pain8

This is an entertaining game sometimes. I don't think it's for children, or anyone who is already disturbed. It is so far out that it is funny and somewhat entertaining. People seem to love violence and this is a spoof of a very violent disturbed individual. This is just a game, a little bit strange and certainly different. but I think it should not be censored by any means. I did get a kick out of it the first time I saw it, but that sort of wore off. It would get very repetitive after a short while, and I will say that it's only as violent as 'You' make it, with the decisions 'You' make while playing it.

This is an excellent game for PC that plays native on Linux and windows both. It reminds me some of Unreal Tournament of years past but the sound and graphics are much better, and the characters move much more like real figures. I think the weapons are also better and the AI's are for sure much better. They did a lot of work into this game. It is an arena shooter, but that is what it was designed to be so I certainly can't fault it for that. I do have praise for the graphics, the sound, the AI's, and the fact that the developers took the time to port it over to Linux. Also, I have been involved in the IT computer industry since 1983 when we used PC-DOS or MS-DOS and the internet hadn't evolved yet, and I sure don't think this game should be bashed just for being an arena shooter. I do not work for or receive any compensation from the developers of this game.

Thief: The Dark Project10

The whole Thief trilogy are classic games. I recommend that you buy all three in a bundle. I don't think these games will ever wear out. The graphics are good, sound is very good and re-playability is very good.
I'll never forget when I first heard the 2 ole guards talking about going to the bearfest and the underslung cheek spikes. I had to just stop and laugh. These are truly the Best sneaking, blackjacking games that have ever been produced or for that matter ever will be . The entertainment value of these games is much more than you can imagine. I hope these 3 never go away.

Heroes Over Europe1

I purchased this game boxed from Amazon. I have Never been able to make this thing play under Win XP sp3. It loads all the beginning stuff but will not ever let me play the game. I contacted Ubisoft and they were no help with this problem. I have read of others having the same problem on the internet. This could have been a good game if it would only PLAY! Don't buy it,. you will likely waste your money and Ubi is no help on this. My system More than meets all requirements to play this game. All drivers etc are up to date also. Anyway, this thing might as well be a coffee coaster!
I did read on 3 different forums that the copy protection that is being used on this game is the problem, and reason it will not play on a lot of systems. If so that;s a dirty shame, and I will think twice and do more research before buying anymore Ubi products. Buy at your own risk!

Wings of Prey10

This is for sure the best flight sim I have ever played. I have played everything from Janes, IL2, BlackShark, and others I can't think of them all. This sim can be played in Arcade while your learning and just funing or similation for the whole deal or in real mode. This sim will work for everyone. It has the best graphics I have seen in a sim. They are better than Apache AH64 Assault which is also a very good game. I love this game. These people put their FULL expertise in this game. I like it so much that I even bought the add on called Wings of Luftwaffe. The latest release recognizes many flight rigs and sticks. My Thrustmaster flight t HOTAS was listed and played with very little tinkering. I do wish you could change more planes and more settings for control devices (sticks), but even as it is, it's worth 2x what you pay for it. There are combat sims that cost 3x what this one does and aren't half as good. If you have had doubts about purchasing this game, Don't think twice, just buy it! Activation is a little bit of a pain but support is good and you can go online and dogfight with people all over the world. There are all kinds of free decals and add ons also. I haven't ever rated a game as high as this one before. These guys really put their heart in this one.

Tom Clancy's HAWX10
Nov 25, 2011
Tom Clancy's Hawx is a really fun game. It is not a true flight sim like my DCS Blackshark or even IL2 1946, but it does have a lot of good action and is entertaining. It is a good simple fly and shoot arcade type game that will be around for sometime, for all those who don't want a steep learning experience from a more sophisticated flight sim. The graphics are good, and the game plays very well on the older P-4 processors that run at 3ghz and above. A nice PC game, but I think it was really tailored for a console. It is worth playing.

Apache: Air Assault10
Nov 6, 2011
I don't agree with the critics. I think this game is good, and fun, but the missions do get very hard as you progress. I like the single player and haven't tried multiplayer at all, because I want to be able to play good before that. The graphics are very decent and it's great fun blowing up targets and chasing enemies on the ground while shooting at them with your machine gun/cannon. I use a ST290 joystick on a system with Win XP sp3, a HD4670 graphics card, 2gb ram, P4 extreme 3.4ghz (Old System), but a goodie! If you like helicopter combat sims then you Will Enjoy this game. It does have a certain amount of controlled realism to flying the Apache. The more real you make it, the harder it will be. This game does have a good re-play action. I'm just glad there are still some of these games around instead of all the mindless games that you jump into and already know all about and can play through in a couple of hours. Just get it! It's a good game.

Half-Life9

I have played Half Life since the beginning. It is an excellent game that has good replay ability. When I was able to get the Half Life Source on Steam it improved the graphics and game play considerably. I highly recommend this shooter to anyone. It has a great storyline and will bring a lot of enjoyment.

Apache AH-64: Air Assault9
Oct 29, 2011
Really fun helicopter sim / shooter. It gets progressively harder as the levels go higher. Some are pretty hard to get through. It doesn't have a long learning curve so if you want action now, you can get it. The graphics and sound are both good. Enjoy!

Comanche 410
Oct 29, 2011
This game has gotten some undeserved bad reviews. It is one of the last playable Helicopter battle sims, with the exception of Apache AH64 Assault. I have both of these titles and they are both good and fun to play. Comanche 4 doesn't have a long learning curve like the old Janes flight games and everyone I have gifted it to have only praise for it. It isn't a New Title so the graphics aren't perfect, but if you want a fun game that gets challenging as it progress's then Buy It you won't be disappointed. It also has a fun multiplayer!

Thief: Deadly Shadows9
Sep 3, 2011
This game is one of the all time greats! I thought I would never get to play it again because it would not run well or at all on Win XP. Thanks to Steam and Eidos they have updated it so it will run on the newer OS's. The story line and graphics are excellent, until you finish the first 4 levells. After that you have to start fighting gouls and monsters that your weapons just don't always work on. At that point it's still OK but it was better when you were a sneaky thief having to rely on stealth and outwit the law. The graphics are superb considering when this game was published, and the AI's are excellent also. They really come up with some funny funny little stories when they talk to each other or when they are looking for you. This game will entertain you for hours. I wish they would get Thief Gold updated to run on the newer OS's. and The Dark Project. I would purchase both of them even though I already have the original retail versions that don't work on anything but Win 98.
