Can you say Ishtar? Look, I tried to give this one a chance, but it was so bad I finally got up and left halfway through. Interestingly, once I got up another half dozen of the roughly 20 people in a large theater got up as well. The 7 dwarfs (renamed Magical Beings after Disney refused to hire human actors), were disturbingly bad CGI and somehow, scripted. I assume nobody at Disney will be held accountable for this disaster, but consumers will care. It is sad because Disney has lost its way, and the brand will require many years to recover if ever - think of how Sony was a great consumer products brand and really has never come back.

Excellent acting, but overdoes the painful moment’s in Marilyn’s life in a 3 hour movie badly in need of editing. Do we really need to see JFK porn, forceps abortions and vomiting to the camera to get the point across? I’d suggest no.

Delightful, feel good, but thoughtful movie. You can’t help but root for the the main character. And this movie lets you walk in the shoes of immigrants who are hardworking and trying to make a life for their family. A must watch for anyone with a heart.

Important movie, and generally well directed and acted. The only sad thing is that this movie from the left, and Death of a Nation from the right, do nothing more than push groups even further into their safe place corners. I have lived a long time in the US and not since the 1960’s have I seen such division in our society. I can only pray that we get a new ML King and JFK to emerge, but I suspect any such effort would be immediately torn down by social media attackers.

I worthwhile balance to the "all negative, all the time" assault on anything that is not politically correct. Not surprised at the professional critics panning the movie because they are unable to even remotely consider viewpoints that they do not hold. Sad but true.

Culturally important. Not an innovative plot, dialog brutally stilted. Worth seeing, but don't expect great cinema.

A lovely film that brings home the healing powers of faith. Please do not fall for the atheist diatribes against anything that remotely approaches Christianity - this is a solidly well acted movie that all but the close minded will enjoy.

Maher is witty and calls out some some "taken to the extreme" points, but he fails to use rigorous logic to make his case. Not worth the time to watch. Opinions are fine if supoorted by facts and logic. Maher fails on both counts.
