What a ****. Pokemon Platinum was one of the first games I have ever played and is one of my favorite games of all time. With all the remakes that came out for the other Pokemon games, I knew that a remake to Platinum must come at some point. I have waited so long and then I got this: A game with ugly chibis, Pokemon Go graphics, the flaws of Diamond and Pearl that were already fixed in Platinum and this friendship ****. Pokemon was always a cash cow but back then they actually gave a sh't. This was the last newly released Pokemon game I've played and I am very disappointed.

Every time I play a game that looks absolutely beautiful but has boring game play I feel sad. I can't say anything negative about the art style because it looks stunning, but this is a game and in my opinion game play is the number one important thing in a game. Everything you do is just walk from A to B and solve "puzzles" if you want to call them that. It has way too easy jump and run sections and on some parts the game plays itself. If you like these kind of games that's totally fine and I have nothing against story telling and deeper meaning. I just think that you have to first come up with a concept to combine your story with a game, because if you just have a story, you can just make a (short) film or a video.

A game with one of the best art styles i have ever seen. The gameplay is not that complex and new but the boss rush system is fun. The expert mode when you finish the game doesn't really add much to the game, but can be a cool challenge for everyone who thought it was too easy. I don't think I have to mention the story, it's not really important for that kind of game.
