I Am Not Okay With This: Season 1

I thought this was a decent show. I don't think it merges the two sides of this world very well. It feels more focused on the normal teen drama side than the supernatural side. But it's cute and short enough that it doesn't feel like a huge waste of time. I'm willing continue on with the show to see where it takes us in Season 2.

Most Ryan Murphy fans will probably love this show. I watch anything Ryan Murphy puts out, and I love the classic group of characters that he uses in his projects. My love for Ryan Murphy's projects combined with my love for this old Hollywood era made me expect to really love this. I did enjoy watching it, but the emotional payoff wasn't quite there for me in the end. There was no real attempt at conflict resolution, as all problems were solved by waving a magic wand. I do really want to praise the beautiful colors, costumes and music that really contributed to this beautiful old Hollywood tribute. I also really want to give props to David Corenswet, Holland Taylor and Mira Sorvino who each did a fantastic job portraying the authentic mannerisms and vocal inflections of the era. I did love being transported to this setting, and did enjoy watching it but definitely left being a little disappointed. It wasn't quite satisfying or rewarding, but it was a fun and entertaining ride.

This show is so adorable. Yes there are some problems, but it's easy to overlook those issues solely because of the charm and charisma of the cast and story. It's charming and feels so genuine and authentic. The cast is great, and they all have such great chemistry together. The cast is extremely talented and I'm glad the show is showcasing them all. The original songs are also pretty good. I definitely think it's a good addition to Disney+ and the High School Musical universe. I'm really looking forward to the second season.

This was a wild journey. The subject material and the cast of characters are just extremely entertaining. The pacing is perfect, and there's not a dull, wasted moment. I also really appreciate the unbiased storytelling. The filmmakers don't hesitate to show the skeletons in everyone's closets.

Looking for Alaska: Season 1

Looking for Alaska is one of my favorite books. It had such a profound effect on me when I was a teenager, and I have been looking forward to this adaptation for years. The show was cute, but I definitely felt like it was a little too pretentious and melodramatic for me to get attached to it these days. I must have just grown out of this story. However, I think teens now will definitely love and relate to the TV show as I related to the book when I was a teen. I don't think it's bad at all, it was just a little too dramatic for my taste.

The show definitely starts out strong, but the second half of the season drags on and becomes pretty boring. In addition to being boring, it's also somehow able to be confusing. Something about this show just wasn't for me.

Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez: Season 1

This documentary feels overlong. It feels like it dragged out a lot longer than it had to for the amount of material there was. The show only has three episodes and it didn't even feel like there needed to be that many. The story is pretty simple, but yet was told in the most confusing and convoluted way possible.

I love this show and the cast so much. I think it's a very unique and necessary story, but I feel like this season wasn't up to par with previous seasons. The characters are becoming caricatures of their formerly more realistic selves. It's getting a little too ridiculous and over the top for my taste. I will continue to watch the show, but I think it's best that the next season will be the last.

I know this is based off of a true story, and I in no way want to minimize the trauma suffered by the victims and the work put in by law enforcement. I just want to convey my opinion on the re-telling and necessity of the Netflix version. Something about this series just didn't really connect with me. The show felt a little pretentious about the themes it was trying to portray. It also felt unrealistic and unnatural, particularly in reference to the police officers' portrayal. I also feel that there were no stakes, as the journey was kind of predictable. I didn't hate this series, I just kind of question how necessary it was to re-tell this story or at least why they told it in the way they did.

The Bachelor: Season 24

Although this season was completely frustrating to watch, it was admittedly a very addictive and entertaining season. I would just beg the Bachelor producers to choose a genuine cast and lead that aren't coming on the show just to become famous. We need to go back to the roots of the show where the cast and lead were mature, normal people looking for love. Romance should be the forefront of the show. The drama doesn't matter if there's no payoff in the end.

This was a very fascinating look at the sport of college cheerleading. The people we follow are very interesting and have very powerful backstories. The documentary is very well done, and the sport is fascinating to watch.

Pretty much the only reason to watch this show is if you're a fan of RuPaul's Drag Race. As a fan of Drag Race, I wanted to support the show. I did enjoy seeing the cameos from all of the queens. But it was hard to get past the writing. AJ's character was infuriating to sit through. It is a cute show that you don't have to pay much attention to, but something about it feels like a cheesy TV movie. I didn't really have many complaints about the acting like many other people did. I more had a problem with the story and writing. I don't think the show was terrible- I'd say it was bearable. With that said I wouldn't really recommend the show to anyone unless you're a fan of RuPaul and Drag Race.
