A complete downgrade from the original in format and design, the game is too long, 60-80 hours of the most boring dungeon crawler, filled hidden traps that feel more of a setback that an actual mechanic. The Digimon leveling is horrendous with constant level caps to drag out the game, forcing you to dna digivolve to gain a few more levels. The extended catalogue of Digimon and the dna digivolving is a great idea poorly implemented due to the level cap as it hinders the game so much that if it was removed it would be a much more enjoyable experience.

Such a amazing game, the format was great it’s a shame it wasn’t expanded on, this needs a reboot or remaster, it has a unique charm that a lot of the classic games have that isn’t replicated nowadays.
