Olivia Wilde has a long way to go as a director - her media appearances are cringeworthy and reflect a very immature, divisive mind. Pugh does very well in this film, and tries her best with the weak material given to her.

Misandrist in nature, and a far cry from the brilliant work of Ex Machina or Sunshine.

Not a perfect movie by any means - however, in comparison to the original Paul WS Anderson series, this film hugs fairly closely to the source material

The term 'style over substance' is often overused and/or misunderstood, but I feel like this movie is the absolute epitome of that concept. "Visually stunning" is the only possible good thing to say about this film.

A genuinely moving, funny and well-acted comedy. I generally don't watch foreign films, but this is damn fine

The acting carries this movie; Bale, Adams and especially Steve Carrell (masterful performance of Rumsfeld) are the saving grace of a film that has tonal issues that The Big Short NEVER had. So much inaccuracy of factual events, and strange pacing mean there is little to recommend this film. Easily one of the highly-talented Adam McKay's worst films by a significant margin.

A fun popcorn flick, but unfortunately not as good as the original (which is IMO one of the best of all of the 20+ MCU films). A higher ratio of jokes fall flat in this compared to its predecessor, but it remains a good combo of comedy and action that we've come to expect.

I think this might possibly be the only movie in Simon Pegg's gigantic filmography that I haven't liked - very little redeeming features in this film, unfortunately.

Clumsy, shambling, and filled with just about every known lie or twisted truth in the known world to push a narrative (how many economists - you know, PhD educated people? - have to debunk gender wage gap myths before leftists understand it?)

Amusing - these two are funnier in this than they are in an entire season of New Girl. Drags a little bit in the middle, but an overall enjoyable comedy.

So disappointing. Anything touched by Seth MacFarlane is usually gold (or at least close), but this mainly unfunny movie just falls flat. There are more misses than hits, but the good news is the hits aren't just hits - they're home runs. However, the filler makes up a huge proportion of the film and even the surprisingly strong acting from Charlize Theron and Liam Neeson (who is great as a villain - a role he doesn't play often enough, though he clearly can!) can't save it completely.

Not only easily the weakest of the Cornetto trilogy, this movie is not as funny, well-written or well-paced as ANY of the other Pegg/Frost collaborations. The character development is non-existant and the humour is mostly misses and very few hits. The only saving grace comes from good performances from the supporting cast (inc. Martin Freeman and Paddy Considine)

A painfully vapid movie, and a departure from Cronenberg's usual genius; the dialogue is as shallow as a kiddie pool, and the atmosphere is equally as cold (not to mention sterile).
