Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen

A challenging game. Dragon's Dogma has a very detailed world, but I've never considered it to be memorable like other places I've visited like Skyrim or Hyrule. The graphics were also very muddy, some textures looked okay, but some of them just looked unfinished. The boss fights, however, were very well made. It makes Skyrim's dragon battles look pretty easy. From dragons to giant orcs to three headed serpents, the boss fights were a treat. The lack of fast travel was a good/bad decision because it gives this sense of realism and a true journey because you're not allowed to just all of a sudden pop up in the place you want to go, but the constant backtracking gets annoying and repetitive..... fast. Dragon's Dogma is a very challenging game and there's hundreds of things to do and places to explore but it's constant backtracking and lack of autosave will definitely frustrate many gamers.

Pretty much Zelda with a Star Fox skin. It was definitely a bold step by Rare and Shigeru Miyamoto himself to create this good game. The story mode was top notch and it was the first game out of the entire series that finally got Fox out of the cockpit and into the land. It also brings new mechanics (Like Fox's staff) and new ideas which can help the series in it's next entries. The graphics were very nice and I'd even consider one the best looking games on the Gamecube. Everything was detailed and textures looked great. This was also the first game that introduced Krystal into the series, which I think can be a very reliable character to the team if she's done well. Overall, Star Fox Adventures is a very different game from your average Star Fox 64 type of game. Thanks to average gameplay, fleshed out story, and a nice soundtrack. Star Fox Adventures is a game that's worth a buy even if some of it's aspects are disappointing.

While it may not be the epic that I thought it would be. Titanfall's tight, fast paced, and action packed gameplay helps make it one of the best shooters of this year. The Titans were also a very nice addition and were fun to use. My only criticism was the story mode, which nobody plays, and the lack of guns. Other than that, Titanfall is a very well made shooter that will definitely leave you wanting more the minute you finish a match.

THE WORST GAME OF THE ENTIRE SERIES! The story was a mess, the controls were tedious, ALL of the multiple endings ****, AND the multiplayer didn't even last a month. The story was a disaster and completely forgettable. What I hated the most was that the developers were trying to add this terrible tragic love story between Fox and Krystal which seemed to go all over the place due to it's terrible multiple endings. One of the most annoying things were the characters voices, who all talked in this high pitched gibberish that was just terrible. The gameplay was 50/50 in my opinion. After going from Star Fox: Assault, a game that had tons of different gameplay mechanics, we go back to the arwing, and the controls were so terrible, that I never had any kind of fun when playing this game. Not to mention the missions were all REALLY repetitive. Star Fox: Command was a disappointment filled with repetitive gameplay, terrible story, and just filled with bad choices. If you're a Star Fox 64 fan, you might find more enjoyment out of this one. If not, STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM IT!

Love it or hate it, it's my favorite game out of the entire series. Sure, the controls may be annoying and the story may be way too short, but honestly, these things didn't really bother me that much. Despite it's length, The story mode was well made and fleshed out , filled with emotional and epic moments that made me realize that this series can be so much more than just Star Fox 64 over and over again. The multiplayer was forgettable in my opinion and I never played it that much (probably because I had no friends). The land segments were awesome despite all the hate it got. I thought they were unique and original. Despite it's flaws, Star Fox: Assault is a great game that was criticized because it wasn't Star Fox 64.5. This was a bold step for this series and I would gladly have a Star Fox: Assault 2.

Crysis 2 boasts great graphics and addicting gameplay, but suffers from a terribly linear and forgettable story. The aliens aren't memorable like the Covenant or the Reapers, they just felt like targets you had to shoot at. The story was pretty forgettable and Alcatraz is not a hero I will remember long after I finish this game. However, thanks to it's addicting gameplay and nice mechanics with the suit, it still makes up for a fun journey.

When I first finished this game, I was thinking about it day and night and couldn't stop because of how astonishing it was. It's a nearly flawless game with thought provoking, controversial themes, great gameplay, memorable characters, and a plot twist you won't see coming and will leave you in shock. The city of Columbia is beautiful yet terrifying at the same time when you find out the dark secrets this city is hiding. Aside from a few moments where the gameplay feels tedious, this is a must have game, and one of the best games of 2013.
