Disgusting terms of use that basically let them STEAL any work done by the community as their own. As a former level designer/modder I gotta say Blizzard can go to hell.

This is an Early Access game being sold for $60. If you're considering it, get the free 14 day Game Pass trial to check it out that way first. There just isn't enough content. It's polished by very shallow and it gets boring really fast.

Don't believe the hype. It's a janky, messy game and I wish I'd bought it directly through Steam so I could refund it (which is what you should do if you want to try it).

Game is in a broken state, something the reviewers (who probably have very expensive rigs) are ignoring. If you have anything less than a 1080 forget it. It's disgusting that it was launched in this state, it's worse than Arkham Knight.

An adorable rogue-lite dungeon crawler with card-based combat. If you want a good-hearted, addictive little game to chill out with this is a good choice. My favorite unique mechanic is how you create the shape of the dungeon yourself with cards, it adds another layer of strategy.

The game is a wreck for a lot of people on launch day. If you haven't purchased it yet, I would wait to see whether the developer fixes all the issues. As it is, some people can't get it to run and for the rest the performance isn't very good.

Excellent little metroidvania! I played the entire game shortly after release and had a great time with it. The original version was for the DS. This is a port of the iOS version, which had an extra "magic" mode and enhanced cut-scene artwork. The gameplay runs at the original 4:3 aspect ratio, so you'll have black bars on the right/left of the screen. It scales nicely up to 1080p, though- very crisp pixels. There are no filters unfortunately, but you'll probably be sitting back with a controller, and it's really beautiful pixel art. The animation is great, too. I saw some people complaining that the pixel art wasn't totally redone in high res for PC, but I'm glad they kept the original presentation. Otherwise, very good music and fun gameplay that mixes melee and different types of magic attacks. Lots of exploration, looking for items, and backtracking. Some later parts get a bit confusing - especially the last dungeon. I got frustrated sometimes, but you can always check a guide online if you get lost. Overall, not quite as good as say Shovel Knight which I played the week before. But still a really worthy release for fans of 2D platformers on PC.

A very simplistic Diablo clone ruined by a greedy free-to-play pay scheme. Yes, it's f2p- except on Steam, where you spend $10 on in-game currency to play it. $10 should buy you the whole game, and even then it would be hard to recommend. It still isn't feature complete, despite a $200,000 Kickstarter and charging microtransactions on an unfinished game. Totally unbalanced atm, too. And again... even if it was not free to play, and was finished and balanced... it wouldn't be more than a 7/10. It's just too simple and bland. I loved the music and art style, btw... but they can't save it from the lifeless gameplay.

Pretty good port so far. Runs well on my system (Phenom II x6 3.2ghz & HD6870), seems to have everything the console version does including up to 4 player local multiplayer. It have pretty much all the options you'd expect, albeit not quite as many as the Capcom ports (no GFWL, though!). The people complaining about it not working are people with laptops. I've seen them whining on the Steam forums. Games often do not work on laptop chipsets (eg Intel HD), yet people buy without checking then throw a fit even though it was *their* fault for not waiting and checking more carefully about compatibility. If they want to run AAA games on their PC, they should get a PC designed for it. And if you have a laptop, you *always* but with extreme caution. LEARN, people.

The best kart racer since Diddy Kong Racing. The tracks are wonderful and clever, there are all sorts of things to unlock in the "world tour" mode (which is kind of like a map where you unlock different areas), and split-screen with two players was great with no fps drops on my HD6870. Looks amazing on PC, too. Crisp textures, no pop-in ever, smooth framerate. Can't wait to get some 4-player action going. Just buy it already.

If you like tower defense games this is a must-have title. It reminds me a little of Puzzle Quest or Clash of Heroes in that it adds RPG elements to a strategy/puzzle genre with great results. The game is pretty long and has good replay value, including a "new game +" mode that adds extra missions, new cutscenes, etc. It may look simple and retro, but the gameplay is among the best, the music is very good, and the humor is a nice touch. The price may seem a bit steep given the 16-bit graphics, but it's well worth that price. I have 33 hours logged on the game so far and I'm maybe 1/4 through New Game+.

Intriguing game, very refreshing. Though it has some platforming / action elements, it is primarily a puzzle game. The gameplay is challenging and original, and the "fluros" are a clever concept. Some have complained that the water physics is too "loose" - ie you might have the right idea for solving a puzzle, but still have to try a few times - but I actually liked that. It made the game feel more dirty and real. The audio is fantastic; everything from the minimalist electronic soundtrack to the subtle sound effects and fluro 'voices' contribute to the game's ambiance. The graphics are a mixed bag and feel a bit mismatched, but still impress. If you are looking for something fresh and interesting, this is it. And there is a demo on Steam if you want to try before you buy.

One of the best expansions I've ever played. I liked it more than any of the other Fallout 3 and New Vegas content, including the entire base games. It manages to be quirky, creepy, and hilarious all at the same time and has great dialogue and voice acting. The final boss is also very well done... it's set up the way you would have wanted Deus Ex: HR's bosses to be, which is to say there are more ways than brute force to win. If you pass on this you are missing out on the best Fallout content this generation.

I really enjoyed this game. It' not a regular rpg; it's a strategy/rpg hybrid like King's Bounty or Puzzle Quest. If you like those two games you will probably like this. The story is cute and cliche, but really just a reason for the cool strategy game. It also runs nicely (and looks beautiful) on my netbook (Atom 1.6ghz & Nvidia Ion), though I'd try the demo first on any laptop chipset. The graphics are simple but good, kind of like an HD anime version of what old top-down SNES RPGs looked like. You can play kb/mouse or with a 360 controller; both work equally well, and you can switch on the fly. I got about 40 hours out of it single-player, and it has online multiplayer and hotseat local multiplayer. Well worth the $15.

I can barely express just how floored I am by this title. DD may be an "indie" game, but you wouldn't know it. The visuals are detailed and gorgeous. Every level is full of creative little touches. There are plenty of levels, and a bunch of "challenges." It's really meant to be co-op, not single player, but you can play alone- I have played single player for 75 hours according to Steam! You just make one of each class, then swap out at the forge so you can make whichever defenses you like it. You do end up at a disadvantage in the combat phase, because it's just you, but it's still quite doable and I've beaten most levels on Medium or Hard. I feel *guilty* that I only payed $15 for this game. Other highlights: native 360 controller support, which allows 4-player splitscreen play on PC; 4 player online; full mod tools; and they are even testing a 16-player CTF mode. And the gameplay... it's so, so good. DD combines the best elements of tower defense and action RPGs, and it does it so well that it feels completely natural. I think this might be more Game of the Year. It's so much for such a small price tag, the quality is excellent, and it's an innovative, genre-bending title. Moreover, the multiplayer and mod support means I'll probably be playing this a year from now, which I can't say for many games. I am buying 3-4 more copies as Christmas presents. I need people to play with, and these guys deserve way more than $15 from me!

Nice little game. It's one of the more simplistic tower defense games I have played, and I'm pretty sure it's just ported from iOS. But if you are new to the genre and want to learn, or want some light fun on your netbook, it's well worth the $5. If you are a more serious gamer, though, you'll probably be happier with offerings like Defense Grid or Sanctum. A couple small gripes: there is no in-game music. The only music is on the title screen. Also, it has almost no graphics options and runs only at a 4:3 aspect ratio. The framerate is capped at 30fps (via FRAPs), but it doesn't really matter for a slow 2D game like this. Overall, though, if you are looking for a cheap little tower defense game to keep you busy this should fit the bill..

Excellent tower defense strategy game. Not sure about the DLC, but it took me about 15 hours to beat the base game's campaign and bonus levels on regular difficulty. While the graphics are a bit drab, the gameplay is smart, challenging, and addictive. The voice acting gives the game a bit of character, and the music and sound effects are solid. Overall a solid package. I'd love to see a sequel with improved visuals, as they are the main thing holding the game back.

Excellent Diablo-esque game. While the areas are not randomly generated, the world is huge and you are free to explore. The music and sound effects are standout, and the graphics are beautiful, although it is limited to 1024x768. It's also one of the few games that gets crafting/modding items right. It's easy, and it actually results in items better than what are laying around or for sale. The classes are cool, too. Overall, probably my favorite Diablo-style rpg. (note: the game was buggy when released, resulting in poor review scores. The current build is excellent, though, and they even added a lot of extra content. I suggest the GoG version, as it has no DRM)

If you enjoy the resurgence of 2D playformers, this game is worth a look. In fact, it's one of the first "2.5"D games released on PC, before this trend hit with Trine, the Bionic Commando remake, etc. While the graphics aren't amazing, DN:MP, unlike most other games in the 2.5 genre, actually *uses* the third dimension. Many levels have 2-3 levels of foreground/background and such, which adds a refreshing change to the run and gun gameplay. It's also dirt cheap and DRM-free on GoG's website. Having played the Duke Forever demo... I'd say this game is way better if you need a Duke fix.

Despite the criticism I have seen, it's not a bad little game, especially for the price. It's nothing too special... pretty linear, some platforming and cover-based shooting elements, and very pretty fire and water effects. Developers are active on the Steam forum and patching and tweaking based on player feedback, which is always good, although it's not buggy or anything at all. I'd say give it a go if it looks interesting to you. Hopefully they will have a PC demo soon. And I'd recommend a 360 controller for it, it just fits the game better.

Of all the retro 2.5D platformers out there, Rocket Knight is one of the best by far. It is the sequel to a sleeper-hit Genesis game, and it *feels* like a Genesis game in the very best of ways. The controls are excellent; Sparkster is one agile little guy and zipping around is a joy. The graphics are everything you'd expect from a newer 2D title, with excellent animation and nice layers of 3D detail in the background. The game is charming, and all of the characters have a lot of personality. The completion time is only 5-6 hours, but that's perfectly normal for a 2D title like this. Like many 2D platformers, though, there are goodies to collect and many other reasons to revisit past levels, so if you want more from the game it is certainly there. Overall, I felt it was easily worth the $15 asking price- it may be short, but it's sweet, and the kind of game I'll be going back to replay again and again. Also, I would use a 360 controller- it has native support for them and the controls are excellent. There is a demo on the game's Steam page, so check it out!

Excellent game. I played the beta for 15 hours, and that wasn't even feature complete. I'm starting in on the full game now, and the other maps seem more complicated and interesting. The mix of first-person shooter and tower defense works well, and navigating to set up your defenses is thankfully a breeze. The defenses are crucial, but you always feel like your own fighting matters. It's one of the best looking indie games out there, and takes full advantage of the Unreal 3 engine. Overall, this would be a great game for $40... for $15 it's a steal, and fans of tower defense strategy games, or FPS fans looking for something new, will find a lot to like here. It's also worth noting that it has a 2-player online co-op mode (4-player soon), and that the developers are active on the Steam forums and working on tweaks and new content. My only complaint would be the save system (one save at a time, and save points aren't for every wave), but it's a minor complaint and likely to be fixed based on community feedback.

I tried, but I couldn't get into SMB. I want exploration in a platformer, not a series of tiny, sadistic obstacle courses. Don't be fooled - SMB is nothing like Metroid or Super Mario. It's more like brutally difficult arcade game, with "levels" that are one-screen in size. I mean, it's charming and I can see why other people like it. But it really wasn't my thing, and I'm usually all about 2D platforming action. It just isn't fun dying 150 times trying to get past the same boring little level.

Bejeweled 3 takes everything great about 2, adds many more modes and goodies, and cranks up the graphics dramatically. Like Plants vs Zombies, this is a game even "serious" gamers should give some attention. The thing that caught my attention immediately was the visual quality - the game runs at *native* 1920x1200 on my PC, and looks breathtaking. No more crummy upscaling like Bejeweled 2 or PvZ. This game actually *uses* your video card, and there are cool warping, scaling, and heat haze effects, as well as beautiful animated backgrounds. There is an addictive quest mode, 4 or 5 more gameplay modes (Poker and Butterflies are great), and lots of "badges" (ie achievements) you can earn in-game. The game is perfection... I can only hope we get a Plants vs Zombies 2 soon that raises the bar on graphics and gameplay the way Bejeweled 3 has.

Probably my favorite racing game ever. The 1-player is very fun (I clocked about 18 hours on it to beat most of the game), and it actually has 4-PLAYER SPLIT-SCREEN on PC! (you need 4 360 controllers). The use of power ups is well done- more balanced and strategic than Mario Kart type games. The online is mediocre (no way to chat?!), but the game was worth $40 for the single player alone. Overall, if vanilla racing games aren't your thing, but you enjoy combatish stuff, this is definitely worth getting (and split screen at 1080p is epic). Very fun platformer, with a lot of charm. If you like old-school 2D games like Strider, you can't beat it for $10. Kit is very agile and fun to control. The combat is pretty simple, but no more so than most games in this genre. The mixed reviews I see it getting don't make any sense to me. It's a $10 indie game with 2D platformer gameplay, and they are criticizing it for not living up to the expectations they would have for a $60 AAA title. Ridiculous. It's a great little 2D platformer, if you enjoy old-school gameplay you'll really enjoy this game. Don't let the negative reviews turn you off, at least try the demo on Steam. One side note- it has native 360 controller support, and I'd suggest using one. The controls are meant to be analog, using a D-pad or keyboard may feel floaty because of this. I love kb/mouse, but some games are meant to be played with a controller, and analog control is something a keyboard cannot give you.

It's a Mario Kart clone, yes, but a very good one! The power-ups are good, and it *feels* like Mario Kart. There are lots of Sega characters, but the real stars of this game are the tracks, which are as crazy and dizzying as you'd expect for a Sonic game. In fact, I think it tops the Mario Kart series in that respect; Mario Kart's tracks were never truly clever like this. The single player is a lot of fun. After you beat the basic game, there are lots of challenge races you can use to get points and gain access to more cars/tracks. Visually, it's nice-looking game, though the cartoony style means it isn't too flashy. Much of what impresses visually is again the creativity of the levels, as opposed to the raw detail. Despite what another reviewer said, performance was excellent. I have a pretty low/mid system (HD5750) and got 60fps constant for the most part with AA and AF on through my video card's settings. The biggest selling point for me? It features 4-player split-screen (on PC!), which is a blast. It has native support for 360 controllers, just plug 4 of them in to your PC. There is no online multiplayer, but I didn't miss it. A game like this is best enjoyed as local multiplayer, and split-screen is such a rarity on PC that it's more of a selling point to me than online would be. Overall, a very fun game. You just don't get games like this on PC very often, and I really enjoyed it. Don't overlook it!
