All white men are bad, stupid or cowards all women are stronger and better than men. Just another series that may have been good but for making it all about gender, which seems to be the go to nowadays created by creepy feminist males

Just your typical misandrist TV show that seems to be the norm nowadays. Portraying men as weak spinless characters. Examples of this are, police officer who can't stand the sight of blood, ex husband that seems afraid of his ex and then Guy Pierce character who was just desperate. Kate Winslet is perfectly believable as a small town detective, so why do they have to have such weak male characters? Is it because the writers feel she needed the weak male characters to make her look more capable, thus suggesting without them she wouldn't be thought of as believable detective.

Got halfway through episode 4 and couldn't watch anymore. Found Bryan Cranston unconvincing, trying to hard to come across as a lot younger than he actually is. The story was repetitive and ever time something could go wrong it did. Overall boring to watch, with characters that just weren't interesting enough.

Having enjoyed the first season I was looking forward to the second only to be left disappointed by it. The show is supposedly about an Alinest, hence the name The Alienist, but in fact the lead character was a female private investigator who was totally unconvincing. Then they tried to re-write history, having African Americans integrated into society in the late 19th century, owning businesses, working as journalists etc. This I'm afraid makes it look as though they'er trying to deny the reality of what black Americans went through in that era. Besides the confusion of why it was called "The Alienist" and the disrespect shown to American Black history the story was laboured, the acting poor and generally a very unsatisfying watch.

Really enjoyable show, would have given 9/10 but for the old woman playing agent Blake being really annoying. The rest of the casting was spot on. Regina King and Jeremy Irons were particularly good.

The idea is good but the execution not so much. Cliche after cliche and way to sentimental. The characters are 2 dimensional and apart from Cal, the young boy, you have zero sympathy for any of them. Definitely has a feel of a show that got made up as they went along.

Watched the first 4 episodes of season 9 and couldn't watch anymore. I then decided to watch again after the mid season break as the whispers sounded interesting. Unfortunately they didn't live up to the hype. Very predictable, lazy storytelling. There were a couple of episodes worth watching as stand alones but overall very disappointing. There are no characters you care about, even Eugene is now a complete bore, and some characters that I believe must be the most irritating on TV i.e. King Ezekiel and Carol They really are flogging a dead horse with this show.

Without James Spader as Raymond Reddington 1 out of 10 would be generous. For the most part it just seems to be made up as it goes along and is laughable at times. All the actors playing FBI agents are awful, in particular Megan Boone whose acting is wooden and she has no facial expressions whatsoever, which I'd say is a necessity for actors. When you are rooting for the bad guys, hoping they kill off the FBI agents you know there is something wrong with the acting, script, and direction. James Spader is the only reason to watch, but that can only last for so long.

I don't even know where to start, the poor acting, completely disjointed storyline, 2 dimensional characters, the list goes on. Some of the actors I've seen elsewhere and they were good enough actors, so have to assume it was the direction at fault.

Marvel's Jessica Jones: Season 2

I guess it's always hard to follow up such a good first season with a good second season and they just weren't able to do it with Jessica Jones and because of the long wait for season 2 expectations were even more heightened. Jessica herself was still an interesting character but most of the other characters were boring and 2 dimensional . Trish Walker is 99% filler, Malcom is just irritating, Jeri Hogarth had a completely separate storyline which seemed pointless. There were no real villains for Jones to chase down, which was all the more noticeable because the first season had such an excellent villain in Kilgrave, portrayed brilliantly by David Tennant. Also there was no Luke Cage which was a big plus for the first season. If there is a 3rd season hopefully the 2nd season is just setting it up for something special.

The first half of the season was perfectly watchable, with the revamped Klingons a lot more interesting than previous incarnations and great special effects. The story itself was average but held my interest to some degree. However the start of the second half of the season has been utter nonsense and in particular the fight scenes are just laughable. Just comes across as lazy direction and feels its being made up as it goes along not to mention not being able to connect with any characters, There are a number of strong female characters and not one strong male, at times it feels that its been written by misandrists. Get some balance
