Dark Water: Slime Invader9

This game deserves **** more attention. I go through a ton of switch games and rarely finish them. This is one of those exceptions. I was so impressed that I am leaving a review here for forst time. It feels like a level based metroidvania. Lots of power ups and hidden things to find and great controls.

To dry and boring for my tastes.
They are very focused in what they are presenting here so you can probably tell if it's your cup of tea from the screenshots and descriptions. Just wasn't for me.

Pretty decent for the price. It's a nice little puzzler, with a bit if story, to unwind. Nothing more, nothing less.

I see a lot of mentions of ads. Not an issue on the switch though. What is a issue is that I lost significant progess on filling in the world map, multiple times. I would work my way through 10 or so countries and the come back later and i had lost progress on 20 countries - losing multiple sessions of play. I really liked the game but after the 3rd time this happened, I gave up. Its too bad, the core gameplay is pretty solid.
It sours my desire to buy any games from a publisher that releases games with such game breaking bugs.

This one deserves a lot more attention. Great controls. Good progression. Challenging bosses and platforming. Very good in almost every aspect. The are only one or two nit picks. One or two of the boss fights are brutal but they can be figured out like a puzzle. It can just be really tedious to figure them out. The same thing applies to one or two of the puzzles. But the good significantly outweighs the bad.

A decent, slightly above par, platformer. It's over in a flash but l probably worth a couple of dollars for the amount of entertainment. In the end, I finished it. Which is more than I can say for 90% of the games I play.

I play every metroidvania I can get my hands on and this one really surprised me. I've put a lot of more time into this one then most of the other ones out there.
The combat is a bit on the easy side but the real draw is how much there is to explore here.
I can see why people complain about the legnthy, messy, story (mostly driven by reading dialouge - and there's definitely a lack on hand holding - but I only got completely stuck once and I really enjoyed just wandering around the vast world that exists here.

This one didn't click with me at all. Just boring and confusing. I didn't put more then 20 mins into it, so take this review with a grain of salt.

I really like metroidvania type games and I like shmups a bit also.. This is a perfect, unique mix. It is very challenging but is really well done. And if at all else fails, look up some of those cheat codes to help ease the frustration.

This falls under the category of oddly satisfying. I got on sale for 2 dollars and ended up putting 6 or 7 hours into it so far. Nothing remotely challenging but definitely soothing.

I've been using this site for years. Registered just to leave this review. This game might be fun but I spent half an hour trying to land the bird, on the second mission. I give up. It might be blindingly obvious to everyone else since searching online reveals nothing. It's sad the game is completely ruined for me because of how ridiculously hard this one thing is. It's really too bad since it seems like a decent game.
