Christopher Nolan put on another masterclass into filmmaking. Not once did this 3 hour epic ever feel boring. Even the slow parts of the first 20 minutes ever take my eyes off the screen. It all came together with Ludwig's haunting score that helped the amazing sound of this film. Nolan's films for the last few goes at it have had issues with the sound mixing. This time, I think he nailed it. Brilliant. Nolan is ready for award season and has showed us yet again, who the best working film maker is.

Sinners is an eye candy of a movie. The first 2 acts to me, is where this film stands out. From the acting to the visuals. It's some of Ryan Coogler's best work. Then the 3rd act comes along. Thats where the film does unfortunately lose me. The writing becomes weak, the editing becomes sloppy, and Ryan's direction becomes questionable. I get the film has a message, and it seems like Ryan forgot that and was like "Oh right, this film does have vampires in it." It struggles to keep up and it struggles to remember what the film wants to be. All in all, a good film to watch. Just don't expect anything from it in the long run.
