It’s a difficult game, no doubt about it. It’s a real challenge. Even more so if you’re aiming for 100%. It has a ridiculous number of puzzles, many of them hard to figure out and extremely punishing. If you fall, you’re starting from zero most of the time. You need surgical precision. It can feel frustrating at times, but that’s exactly what makes it a 10/10 game. As an experienced gamer, that’s what I want: a game that doesn’t go easy on me and pushes me to my limits. Hard Mode is genuinely hard. The music and atmosphere are fantastic, maybe it doesn’t quite reach Prime 1 in that department… but Prime 1 doesn’t come close to this one in terms of puzzle complexity.

It truly pulls you into its world, pure immersion through atmosphere, music, and design. It has the best level design since Prime 1, with outstanding concepts, enemies, locations, and everything that makes great world building. That’s something Prime 2 and Prime 3 lost along the way. The music is a work of art, and the way it draws you into its world is an easy 10/10. The puzzles are creative, although honestly they’re not quite on the level of Prime 1 or 2. And yes, the desert area could have been more... no doubt about that. but it doesn’t take away from the fact that this is an excellent game overall. I don’t understand why people have suddenly decided to go after Nintendo games lately. Where is all that irrational anger coming from? It’s a very good game. Players who haven’t experienced the Prime series will probably struggle… you need to understand certain core Metroid mechanics to progress in some sections. I’m pretty sure people just get frustrated when they don’t know what to do.
