Metro: 2033 Redux10
Jul 7, 2026
Metro 2033 Redux is the first game in the Metro series, based on the novels by Dmitry Glukhovsky, and remains one of the most atmospheric story-driven FPS games ever made. Set in the aftermath of a nuclear war, the game takes players through the dark tunnels of the Moscow Metro and the haunting ruins above, where the last survivors struggle to stay alive. Ukrainian developer 4A Games did a fantastic job of bringing the world of the novels to life, creating an immersive experience that captures both the bleakness and humanity of the source material. The soundtrack and sound design are exceptional, working together with the oppressive atmosphere and visuals—which still look impressive today—to create countless unforgettable moments. Few games are as effective at making the player feel isolated, vulnerable, and constantly on edge. While the gameplay may feel a little dated and somewhat rough by modern standards, it never detracts from the overall experience. The game's atmosphere, storytelling, and world-building more than make up for its mechanical shortcomings. Overall, Metro 2033 Redux is an atmospheric masterpiece and an essential experience for anyone who enjoys story-driven first-person shooters.

Celeste10
Jun 14, 2026
Celeste is a fantastic indie platformer and one of the best games of its kind that I have ever played. The story follows Madeline as she attempts to climb Celeste Mountain while confronting both physical challenges and her own inner struggles along the way. The narrative is told with a great deal of care and features a cast of lovable, memorable characters. It manages to be heartfelt and emotional without ever feeling overly dramatic, giving the adventure genuine weight and meaning. Complementing the story is a fantastic and atmospheric soundtrack that perfectly enhances both the emotional moments and the intense platforming sections. The visuals are equally impressive, with each area offering its own distinct identity and style. Gameplay is where Celeste truly shines. The controls are incredibly precise and responsive, making every movement feel exactly as intended. The levels are creative and varied, constantly introducing new ideas that keep the experience fresh from beginning to end. Celeste is a very challenging game, but it is also immensely rewarding. Every obstacle feels fair, and overcoming difficult sections provides a genuine sense of accomplishment that few platformers can match. Overall, Celeste is one of the greatest platformers and indie games ever made. With its exceptional gameplay, memorable story, beautiful presentation, and rewarding difficulty, it is an easy recommendation for any gamer.

Cuphead10
Jun 12, 2026
Cuphead is an artistic masterpiece and one of the finest indie games ever made. From the moment it begins, its incredible charm shines through, thanks to its stunning visual style inspired by 1930s cartoons. Both the audio and visuals are exceptional, creating a distinctive atmosphere that few games can match. Every animation, musical track, and character design feels carefully crafted, resulting in an experience that is as enjoyable to watch as it is to play. The game features a wide variety of creative and memorable boss fights, with Run 'n Gun levels providing welcome breaks between major encounters. The constant variety keeps the gameplay fresh and exciting throughout. Cuphead is also famously challenging. It demands patience, skill, and perseverance, and there will be moments that test even experienced players. However, the difficulty never feels unfair. The game teaches players through practice and repetition, creating a rewarding learning curve where every victory feels earned. Overall, Cuphead is a brutally difficult yet fair game with fantastic boss battles, a unique art style, and an unforgettable presentation. It is well worth experiencing, whether you're a fan of challenging games or simply appreciate great game design.

Donkey Kong Bananza9
Jun 8, 2026
Donkey Kong Bananza is likely the game that will be remembered most as the defining launch title of the Nintendo Switch 2. It marks a fantastic return for Donkey Kong and delivers one of the most enjoyable platforming experiences Nintendo has released in years. The standout feature is its revolutionary environmental destruction system. Smashing through the world is incredibly satisfying and quickly becomes addictive, while the controls remain smooth and responsive throughout the adventure. Visually, the game is also a treat, featuring vibrant environments and impressive attention to detail. The worlds are diverse and creative, often moving beyond the traditional Nintendo settings in a way that recalls the imagination and variety of Super Mario Odyssey. Exploration is consistently rewarding thanks to the large number of collectibles that are genuinely fun to search for. On the technical side, I personally did not encounter any noticeable frame drops during my playthrough. The game's performance felt stable and polished. While Donkey Kong Bananza does not quite capture the same magic that made Super Mario Odyssey feel truly special, and the soundtrack can occasionally feel somewhat forgettable, these shortcomings do little to diminish the overall experience. Overall, Donkey Kong Bananza is a fantastic platformer that is difficult to put down, leaves players excited for the future of the series, and is an essential game for every Nintendo Switch 2 owner.

Nintendo Switch Sports7
Jun 7, 2026
Nintendo Switch Sports is the successor to Wii Sports and brings back the concept of motion-controlled party sports in a modern form. It features several different sports such as badminton, football, and bowling, offering a simple but accessible gameplay loop. The controls work very well and feel responsive, making the experience genuinely fun to play. Especially in co-op with friends, the game can be very entertaining and creates a lot of great multiplayer moments. However, as a follow-up to the highly successful Wii Sports, it is somewhat disappointing in terms of content. While the included sports are more polished, there are fewer of them overall, and for the price, the game simply does not offer enough long-term motivation. Overall, it is a fun party game with great controls, but it lacks enough content to stay engaging over a longer period.

Little Nightmares: Complete Edition10
Jun 7, 2026
Little Nightmares Complete Edition is a fantastic horror game with a strong atmosphere, enhanced by an excellent soundtrack that stays in your head even after you’ve finished playing. The horror is created through a constant feeling of unease and the fear of being caught, rather than relying on jump scares. This makes it stand out significantly from many other games in the genre. The gameplay is solid, mainly focusing on puzzles that are well integrated into the experience. The puzzles feel natural and contribute to the pacing of the game. The story is also very interesting and leaves a lot open to interpretation, including possible themes of social commentary and criticism. Overall, it is a very strong puzzle-platformer and a must-play for fans of the genre.

Assassin's Creed II10
Jun 7, 2026
Assassin’s Creed II is one of the strongest entries in the series and was praised by critics for good reason. It tells a compelling story of betrayal and intrigue, centered around Ezio Auditore, and unfolds in the beautiful setting of Renaissance Italy. The narrative is charming yet engaging, and the world of cities like Venice feels both believable and immersive. The open world is well-designed and still holds up impressively well, offering a strong sense of place and atmosphere. Mission variety is another highlight, keeping the gameplay fresh throughout. Combined with a fantastic, atmospheric soundtrack, the game consistently reinforces its historical setting. Parkour movement is responsive and reliable, making traversal one of the most enjoyable aspects of the experience. The combat system feels a bit dated by modern standards, but it still remains fun and functional today. Overall, Assassin’s Creed II is a masterpiece and a must-play, standing as one of the defining games of its generation.

Persona 5 Royal10
Jun 7, 2026
Persona 5 Royal is, for me, an absolute masterpiece and one of the best JRPGs of all time. It offers a thrilling and gripping story that keeps you engaged throughout the entire playthrough, along with a fantastic soundtrack that perfectly matches the game’s style. The combat system is highly interesting, strategically deep, and consistently fun to play. The characters are also well-written and logical, developing in a believable way over the course of the story. In addition, the game features a stylish and vibrant world with realistically portrayed city districts that create a strong sense of atmosphere. The side activities are also well done and have a meaningful impact on character development. Overall, this is the best Persona game to date and an absolute must-play for JRPG fans.

New Super Mario Bros.9
Jun 7, 2026
New Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo DS brought fresh energy to the Mario series and meaningfully modernized the classic 2D concept. The new gameplay mechanics expanded the experience without losing the charm of the older titles. The gameplay is excellent and still feels precise and fluid to this day. The levels are diverse and offer plenty of creative ideas, while the soundtrack perfectly accompanies the adventure. My only criticism is the bosses. In particular, Bowser Jr. is too easy and doesn’t pose much of a challenge. Nevertheless, New Super Mario Bros. is an excellent Mario platformer that remains highly enjoyable even years after its release. For me, it is one of the best handheld Mario titles and a must-play for all fans.

Death From Above7
Jun 7, 2026
Death From Above is a fun and entertaining indie game with a good sense of humor. The gameplay is solid to good and remains enjoyable throughout the entire playtime. The soundtrack is also a positive highlight. I also appreciate that purchasing the game supports Ukrainian defense efforts against the Russian invasion. The main criticism is the length: at around 3.5 hours, the game is quite short and could have benefited from more content. Overall, it is a well-made small game that is enjoyable to play while also supporting a meaningful cause.

Mafia: Definitive Edition9
Jun 7, 2026
If you enjoy mafia films, you should definitely play this game. Lost Heaven looks fantastic, the soundtrack perfectly captures the atmosphere of the 1930s, and the story remains engaging from start to finish. The missions stay varied throughout the entire experience, and the story never feels unnecessarily stretched. With around 15 hours of playtime, the game remains pleasantly compact and avoids unnecessary open-world filler. It’s a game that knows exactly what it wants to be: a great gangster story.
