I know this will sound hyperbolic, but trust that I'm being very literal when I say that, in over 3 decades as a gamer, this is the most engaged and addicted I have ever been by a game. I've put in almost 800 hours on PC and around 200 on PS5, and I know I'm far from done with it. Everything about it is just shy of perfect, to a point that I pity Larian having to find a way to follow this masterpiece.

Just to be fair, the "gameplay" as it were is a bit light - think of this more like an interactive animated TV series.... but that said, it is abosolutely ****ing outstanding. The animation is on par with Disney productions, the characters are incredible, and most of the voice actors (especially Aaron Paul and the Critical Role folks) do amazing jobs. I enjoyed it so much I bought it on both platforms just to give the dev more of my money and help contribute to its success. Cannot recommend highly enough. My favorite game of 2025 by far.

It's a unique spin on both the superhero genre and tactical games that is definitely worth checking out. In a vaccuum, I'd probably put it around an 8, but looking at the reviews being left strictly because poor right wing trolls getting their feelings hurt but a little diversity, it gets bonus points. Don't listen to those reviews. They probably never even booted the game up.
