You can't please everyone with any kind of review of this game but here goes. My Thoughts: -The game is solid, I like the storytelling, gunplay, graphics, sound and pacing. It reminds me of stalker. Stealth emphasis can feel dull though. -I think some elements and the open world are a bit redundant in some parts. -Experienced some floating enemies but no major bugs. -Epic store is terrible.. but after seeing the work offices in Ukraine, taking a bigger cut of profit seems understandable. Still there interactions with the community have been terrible and short sighted. I can understand the outrage culture around this game.. but I still think it's a good shooter worth your time and AAA output from a studio running on bits of cardboard and spit.

Failbetter live up to there name... Many improvements to Sunless Sea. but Still so much fail. Pro's: Great writing, improved User interface that takes the design of '100 days', gorgeous world design, combat much more dynamic and fun. Cons: 70% of the game is doing nothing waiting to get somewhere.. the pacing is awful and ends up you have to grind the same locations to get a slither of story. This game tries to be a rogue lite like the first.. but it makes for a terrible roguelite experience as you end up just like the first repeating the same story content. You can turn this off which i recommend.. but you still have to deal with **** movement speed and the wims of autosave.. which just failed on me.

Poorly received at the time.. i picked this game up as a kid with little to compare to and loved it. It holds up alot better than dune 2 - its revolutionary inspiration but plays more like CnC or Red Alert 1 re-skinned. It's a solid RTS but was never truly balanced properly. It also released in a golden era of RTS games.. starcraft, TA, red alert 2. Which are all better titles comparatively.. but this is worth a check out if your looking for something else.

Pretty overrated. You can see why from the amazing visuals and sound. Senua's probably the best character model i've seen in a game and overall makes great use of the unreal engines new features. Sound is binaural which is great as a schizophrenia simulator but draining nonetheless. I think the game would be worth more if everything else wasn;t so token. The combat is stiff, repetitive and unchallenging. The puzzles are just time wasters most of the time and the story seems to just repeat the same notes all the way through. There's some great ideas and presentation, shame it's wrapped up in a boring slog ****.

Gameplay: Plays like Hotline Miami, but with no shooting, typical stealth and vision cone dodging. It's pretty basic.. to the point that i think it would have been way more suited as a mobile/tablet game. Having been destroyed getting through shadow tactics this is a highly casual experience in comparison. Presentation: Brilliant, perfect 2D paper texture 70's aesthetic. Can make some of the lvls harder to navigate... Music is great too. Overall: I think the game itself requires more depth for the demanding PC market(especially stealth games). But it is otherwise a simple, well made stealth puzzler.

There are good qualities about this game, but are ultimately let down by frustration, bugs and busywork. Graphics: The game looks amazing, runs terribly. Some of the best fog and godrays ive seen, but the game is brought to 30 fps on a 980gtx. Gameplay: Myst inspired puzzler but ultimately a poor clone, Puzzles are singular and nothing you haven't done before. There's not reason to look into the constructed environment beyond finding resource or glass shards, It's all pretty generic. Story: interesting enough to have kept me going until the bugs and autosave system became to much. Told in uniquely cool 2D projected scenes, Probs the coolest idea in the game. Summary: I feel like this game needed another 6 months to fix up the glitches, optimize the engine and maybe make the puzzles a bit more complex, even then it wouldn;t have the world building myst had.

For $45 this game is currently not worth it. The writing is good but not amazing like planetscape. The combat feels simple and dull compared to pillars or even tyranny. For me and many others i get complete GPU related system crashes every 25 minutes or so on average on a 980gtx. If you've played everything else similar and it's on sale and they've fixed this near game breaking bug I'd recommend it, otherwise, wait. It's currently worth 6.0/10 but with issues fixed and a better price i'd give it a 7.8, Pillars of eternity i'd give a 9.0 and 9.6 for planetscape for reference.

Everything is a clear refinement of CIv 5 and its expansions. Religion might be a bit too simplified. People complain about the graphics style but they make it easier to know what's going on in your empire. A major issue would be the ai which is seriously ****, Brutally overpowered in the early game and a joke after the mid game, i hope to play it when these issues are improved.

Rogue-lite Old school mid 90's doom/quake inspired FPS. Graphically it looks the part and procedural generation lvl's are neat too. However, everything else about the game is offensive.. The enemies are bland, silent and chase you down constantly making for less strafing and more just running backward. The music is just blaring, repetitive and annoying. Secrets will screw you over due to where the enemies spawn. Bugs such as being shot through walls and invisible guns. The biggest issue is the difficulty, it's so overly punishing and health is so expensive and rare that to get through the game you have to play it slow and methodically which goes against the fast run-n-gun action it's going for. Better to just go play doom.

Highly inspired by both metroid-vania and dark souls. The graphics and tone are nice though the jumping feels quite stiff. Its not as good as say "ori and the blind forest" but it is solid choice for anyone who's a fan of platformers.

This game is seriously overated. It's a mediocre deus ex clone at best, and a pile of garbage at worst. The interface is one of the worst i've ever seen and the dirtier art style is just a rip off of "blade". The writing is okay.. but the tone is that of a constant B Movie which ruins any immersion for me. Beyond that there's still a plague of glitches and bugs to waddle through.

I really wanted to like this game. The elements are there, just some bad design choices. Early game is great, missions are fun, well written and interesting, exploring is fun and exciting. Then the mid game - a constant "Now what" in terms of lack of things to do, not even the info pop ups to read, AI does nothing unless they have the ability to steamroll you and you seriously piss them off. The politics are as simple as a total war game despite seeming complex. Creating sectors take what little there is to do out of the game. The universe should get more interesting at this point, it does in civilization.. but instead its just lonely guessing until you get random bad events in the end game to make things harder. Battles are crap, the ship designer is pointless, I think a simple update to the ai would fix alot of the mid game issues but right now... eh its too boring.

Great atmosphere, probably the creepiest 2D I've ever played, And just the right amount of pixel resolution to give both a detailed but 16-bit feel. The game is hard and doesn't hold your hand, you will get lost and die. But the controls work well for top-down view its just a matter of finding weapons before night hits you. Its currently in alpha but still plenty of game-play to be had at this point. Give it a go if your a fan of DAYZ, amnesia or generally hard indie games like binding of Issac.
