Unlike almost all other shows, Nip/Tuck doesn't give you cliffhangers and episodes that lead up to finales - with this show, every episode is as good as a season finale. And as shocking. Number 15 blade, please!

I like the way this series cuts to the moral bone and ties so much of the evil men and women do to our culture's excessive materialism, commercialism and obsession with appearances. [22 July 2003, p.1E]

It's reassuring to see the program refocused and mostly back on track as it opens its fourth season, which finds new torments with which to plague its central trio, as well as a plethora of showy guest stars in deliciously perverse roles. [31 Aug 2006, p.6]

Ten minutes into the season premiere of Nip/Tuck and you have to wonder what those deeply disturbed plastic surgeons were doing wasting four seasons, and all that unexplored sexual tension, in Miami when they so clearly belong in Los Angeles.

Nip/Tuck -- a provocative but at times off-putting new show -- doesn't do itself a favor by pressing considerably further, tacking on the more obvious trappings of violence, torture and a marriage so troubled it could qualify for "Jerry Springer."

A mixed-bag hour that, in the parlance of the cosmetic-surgery world, could use a little work. [22 July 2003, p.E1]

There are no characters to care about in Nip-Tuck. It seems their motivations are purely hollow. We love Tony Soprano - even when he cheats on his wife or whacks an enemy - because he reveals his own vulnerability and tragic flaws. But this Nip-Tuck bunch are vacant louts - "ER" meets "WWE SmackDown!" [22 July 2003, p.39]

Cruda, realista y no para todos los estómagos con las escenas tan crudas que sacan.

This show has to be the worst show ever aired on Television. Out of nowhere, with no character development, the lonely wife is SCREAMING at the surgeon, then the surgeon is SCREAMING back. It's just loud television for fat old women who can't feel moisture down below and gay men. They don't develop any characters at all, but within a couple episodes they already do a Transgender episode. Which is fine, do that. But then the show goes all Oprah Winfrey. 'I'M GIVING YOU FREE SURGERY' he keeps telling the person. There are no real plots. Every single female character that enters the screen is just another lay for the handsome Surgeon. It's like episode 4 and he's picked up like 10 women. It's boring. And you can tell it's all for the women because you never see anything from a girl except her upper back while you have to see the docs butt. It makes sense, a show about plastic surgery and the surgeons lives... obviously only loser fat chicks are going to watch.
