The attempt to be both a comedy and a drama doesn't always work--some of the story lines can have a desperate feel--but Misfits has enough going for it to snare aficionados of the odd.

The good aspects of this show are engaging and Misfits is a damn sight more consistent than the most spectacular fail in this genre, "Heroes."

Great production with a lot of humor. Sad that they removed Robert Sheehan from the cast, my favorite character.

The Boys before The Boys, Misfits is a great, underrated show about unlikely superheroes who gain their powers while doing community service together. Over quite a few series, the show manages to expand upon and explore all of the main characters, introducing new ones as time goes on that take over the mantle smoothly. Nathan was a huge loss to the show, but Rudi does a great job in taking that character 'slot' in a new direction. The motif of the group being involved in the death of their worker is funny and gives it a reoccurring joke as well as distinct lore all in one. While the 'second' main cast did a good job of keeping the show going for a few more series, it's hard to deny that there was a dip in quality from the original three series. Despite that, Misfits holds its own to the very end, and is well worth a watch to fans of alt-superhero.

The series about moral ugliness and double standards is very praised at the time of its release, after the third season, themes about sex and jokes about genitals are already starting to infuriate, such that the writers have run out of thoughts, there are good episodes with an abstract meaning, but they are blocked by garbage communication that spoils the overall impression about the cultural value of the series.

Just horrible. Outright horrible. I do NOT get why this show gets such rave reviews. It's been on my watch list for a while now and I finally got into it. What I found was a bunch of incredibly stupid teens who **** more than think. They have wonderous powers but don't ever use them in ways that would make sense. They constantly **** up but the world around them never seems to catch up. There's multiple episodes in which I found myself asking one of three questions: Why aren't the police doing anything about what is going on in the series? (i.e. people getting shot, ran over, exploded, etc.) Why don't the characters have the most basic shred of common sense? They constantly make decisions that are idiotic, at best, and at worst, actively sabotage themselves. Even for teenagers, they're surprisingly stupid. Lastly but not least: Why the **** is there SO much sex in the show? I don't mind sex in a show, but the vast majority of scenes don't add anything to the experience. They don't add to the story. They don't do anything other than inject baseline hardcore porn into an otherwise mediocre show. Stay away from this one. There are MUCH better 'superpower' shows out there. MUCH better.
