Toem 2 is the kind of game that you can play and enjoy for a peaceful afternoon, even if you don’t necessarily feel inclined to pick it up again after that. For a wholesome and low-stakes jaunt, you could certainly do worse.

Well Dweller packs a whole heap of charm into a bite-sized package, with entertaining platforming and rewarding progression perfectly complemented by flawless technical execution in a familiar yet fun classic metroidvania experience.

Onimusha triumphantly returns and manages to stand out in the crowded samurai action market due to its cutting-edge, yet elegant, swordplay. If the story and variety of enemy designs showed more ambition, this game might be a certified classic. For now, it's the start of a bright new future for this once-dormant series.

Orbitals is an absolute must-play for the discerning co-op sickos among us, pairing fiendishly clever puzzle design with a crisp, gorgeous retro anime aesthetic.

Phonopolis is an impressive artisanal cocktail of cardboard craftsmanship, eclectic sound design, and clever puzzles, wrapped in a playful political commentary told in a way that only Amanita Design could.

While not all the ideas land perfectly, Rose and Locket is a fun action platformer with a one-of-a-kind aesthetic that stands out among its many indie peers.

While it could’ve gotten away with being nothing more than a licenced strategy title, Zero Company stands apart from the rest of the genre with rock-solid gameplay, incredible presentation, and a deep reverence for the source material.
