No goggles, no gloom. And no competition for the coolest, orneriest, funniest, best-looking movie of early 2011.

The best of Rango is a lot like the best of the first "Pirates" movie – crazily funny and rambunctious.

In my opinion, Rango is such a great movie, because not only does it have more meaning than most other films like it, but it expresses it with exceptional symbolism, and the presence of what the film is trying to say isn't light, it is reflected heavily throughout it's essence, from the structure to the sound. The art and animation style is also really unique and pleasurable, and the soundtrack was composed by Hans Zimmer.

Filme muito bom também que há reviravoltas pensamentos uma filosofia disfarçada de entretenimento com algumas criticas ao governo muito bem pensado não é algo massante e piadas bem humoradas, perfeito para assistir com a família

Rango is the poster child for those who are anti-3-D, and a great reminder that genuine creativity doesn't need a gimmicky crutch to appeal to audiences.

It's refreshing to see an animated movie that doesn't look as though the idea for the Happy Meal came first.

This features the usual slapstick, double entendres, and riffs on classic films, but what elevates it above a cheeky romp is the skilled CGI work, not only the wealth of tactile detail lavished on the parched townsfolk but also the painterly, sand-swept vistas they call home.

Rango is best enjoyed by those over 10 who have an idea of what "existential" means and can appreciate a surreal mashup of "Chinatown," "Gladiator," "High Noon," and "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly."

It is, for what it is, a work of considerable care and craft. And it's completely soulless.

The most mature animated movie that has a lot of epic moments and memorable characters.

Somewhat entertaining and well animated film, a few laughs and the snake is cool.

Just plain boring. The animation and cinematography is beautiful, but the whole film is just as dry as the desert it walks. The voice talent really isn't that great either. One can't help but compare this film to all of it's genre predecessors, and to that respect, this one simply isn't worthy. This one by itself is just......well, read the aforementioned.

Rango is a dark, dry, frightening, ugly film. I honestly can't understand how it could be considered a children's film; I was genuinely surprised. There's smoking, swearing, death, gun violence, cults, sexual innuendo, and very scary images. The characters are not very lovable, with the exception of a cute possum girl. Most of the humor is cheap slapstick or tired pop culture references. On the plus side, Rango does have an interesting style and the animation is technically very stunning to look at; there's more texture and fluidity than a lot of animated films. But I would not put this on the level of Pixar or even Dreamworks. It breaks my heart because I like Johnny Depp and am a fan of CGI films, and I really wanted to like this movie. But it just left me feeling empty inside. Some people may enjoy the dark tone of the film but I would strongly recommend parents not to take their children.
