The A.V. Club
Yet another celebrity-voiced animal adventure, but it stands out from the crowd of similar films with its lightning wit and whirlwind brio.

The stunning set pieces take full advantage of animation’s unique mastery over time and space, so that we don’t just watch the characters’ daredevil exploits – we’re spinning and whirling right along with them. It’s as if we’ve mastered space and time ourselves.

Annoyingly bratty yet adorable, chubby yet agile—I was already head over heels for Po before I even knew what "gap moe" was.241113 (5.0)I watched this in the theater back in 2008 and was completely captivated. Po is the ultimate embodiment of charm through contrast: he’s irritatingly cheeky but undeniably cute, and despite his large frame, he moves with surprising nimbleness. Long before the term "gap moe" (the appeal of contradictory traits) became mainstream, I had already fallen for his unique vibe. The film was a perfect blend of humor, heart, and high-energy action that justified a full 5.0 rating. It remains a standout memory from 2008—a rare masterpiece that managed to be both a hilarious comedy and a genuinely inspiring underdog story.

The animation is first-rate, and the settings and background are appropriately exotic. The fights are a lot more exciting than you would think. And if the story is somewhat predictable (and the final blow somewhat difficult to fathom), one could find lesser heroes to root for than Po, although none more unlikely.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this is probably the best movie so far this year about a kung-fu fighting panda.

This is a solid family film material, although one suspects the children will get a little more out of it than their parents.

Kung Fu Panda goes nowhere surprising even as its images unscroll handsomely before our eyes. The sound could go out in the theater, and you wouldn't ask for your money back.

A nice looking but heavily formulaic DreamWorks animation entry.

My Review – Kung Fu Panda – 10/10 I gave Kung Fu Panda a 10 out of 10 because it’s funny, exciting, and full of heart. The story of Po becoming the Dragon Warrior is inspiring, the action scenes are beautifully animated, and the characters are lovable and memorable. The humor hits perfectly for both kids and adults, the voice acting is fantastic, and the themes of believing in yourself and never giving up make it stand out. It’s a movie that’s entertaining from start to finish. This is why Kung Fu Panda is a 10/10.

I miss the animation movies from my time. This is not fun, this is something that I would like to do when I can't sleep. A Kung Fu Panda, not my cup of tea

I really had high hopes for this movie, especially when I heard Jack Black and Jackie Chan were in it. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed with the movie. With the exception of Po and Shifu, all the characters, especially the furious five, were one-dimensional. Lame plot, and I barely got to hear Jackie Chan! And now they're making a sequel? DreamWorks, unless you make this sequel your "Dark Knight", you won't be seeing me watching Kung Fu Panda 2.
