The gothic atmosphere and the disgustingly gooey special effects are the main attraction. The existential dread is just an extra.

Itsy Bitsy works well enough on its own terms, providing some genuine jolts and benefiting from the excellent performances.

Itsy Bitsy has some fantastic human moments inside its bland monster facade and is the only real reason I can recommend the film – however, for some it won’t be enough to redeem the played-out and wonky elements.

This had everything i wanted to see and no fluff. At it's heart, this is a story about family and the struggles of relating to each other. I appreciated that the film went well beyond the genre of 'creature feature' and transformed into something else, something way more powerful. This blew through my expectations and tapped into something deep on a human level. It's rare that i enjoy a movie as much as i enjoyed this one. Enthusiastic recommendation!!
