One of the most brutally innovative horrors of the last few years, and all done through windows on a computer screen.

Host is so clever, so creepy, and so effective. At 56 minutes, this is a lean and mean slice of horror, a fitting opening salvo for the spooky season ahead.

Conceived, written, shot and released all in the early months of the Covid crisis and taking place entirely on a Zoom call, Host is about as contemporary – and chilling – as it gets.

An adrenaline-spiking fresh take on a well-worn horror format, Host transcends its high-concept premise to deliver original ideas — and scream-worthy surprises.

Though not as dynamic as “Unfriended,” another “desktop movie,” Host observes uncannily the supernatural, ephemeral, and material worlds colliding together, gesturing toward an uncertain future.

It’s nice to see that the first horror movie to specifically address our present hellish circumstances is as unpretentious and tidy as it is.

Host is a lean, nasty little exercise that might not linger for very long but it shows what can be done during this difficult time. Once regular shooting resumes, we should look forward to whatever Savage comes up with next.

An extremely fun and entertaining horror movie which shows the potential of desktop movies.

Top marks to the director for technical ability. Apparently all this was done remotely with the actors directing the camera and stunts. Story, depth, scare factor ...etc doesn’t leave a strong impression

Host is an enjoyable horror flick that seems cliched, and it definitely is, but with some novelties. The Zoom meeting part is attractive plus topical, and makes the whole viewing more delightful if you can relate with it. It's the usual story where a group of unsuspecting friends get together on an online call to hold seance and things go wrong. Just about an hour long (in line with Zoom's 40-minute free call version) and worth the watch. It won't disappoint. TN.

This movie is the epitome that circumstances and environmental factors affect what people think of something or someone, if you read every critic review of it, you will realize that most if not all of them are praising it for the quarantine-related horror, as apparently looks like everyone at the moment was genuinely scared for their life due to covid-19, and how they were forced to stay in lockdown...just read their reviews. Now watch the movie nowadays, with ur usual neutral emotions and unaffected perspective....yeah....redundant ****-existent plot, expected scenario, and the most awful of all, cringe-acting with a logical plot hole that you would just stare at and be like, Why the ****? Forgettable, and not recommended in general. (My positive rating is just for the visual effects in some scenes, and Radina Drandova UwU).

Overrated. REALLY overrated. Zoom-based horror for 13 year olds girls. Not sure why this recieved any praise. Can you say "wack"?
