Rosewater
Rosewater combines the Wild West and traditional point-and-click mechanics with relative success, taking players on a road trip that is more about relationship building than the trip’s purpose. Which is both its biggest selling point and frustration. Rosewater is full of well-written and performed characters, but it’s hard to care about all of them when they’re not your headline.
Rosewater is a marvelous surprise in the middle of the first half of 2025 games. With a captivating story and charming characters, traversing the wild west is a delight. It’s not as challenging as some other point and click games, but what Grundislav has built is a great example of what this genre can offer to reach a greater audience. Lasso this one up ASAP.
Rosewater is a highly original adventure game that lets you write your own story through the choices you make and the actions you take. And if you're a fan of westerns, you won’t even notice how quickly time flies on the road.

I am an hardcore point & click fan since I was a kid. I've been waiting for this game for years, and I'm sorry to say I'm really disappointed. Mostly because of my expectations, so keep my little review for what it is - you might love this game. Also keep in mind I haven't completed the game yet (and I'm not sure I will tbh), but I'm around 10+ hours ****, I was expecting a western story. This ain't it. The western is just the setting, the background, but it could have been any other setting and the story wouldn't have suffered from it. It's not a western *story*, it's kind of a wholesome tale **** of characters. So, not what I was expecting. I also find it quite... boring. I don't care for all the side characters we meet and help, I don't care about their chats (writing is quite good, it's just not interesting to me listening to their chats) and I don't care about helping all those side characters we meet - they don't move the main story forward, they're quite **** puzzles are also quite mid, nothing really interesting on that point. Feels like a visual novel with a few interactions sprinkled here and there just because they *have to* be there. And again, I find the dialogues quite boring, to the point that I'm taking a lot of time to progress because... I fell asleep while playing more than ****, despite me being a P&C fan, this game is not for me.Maybe you will like it if you just want a wholesome story.

For my personal tastes, this is the best game I have played in a very long time. It's an adventure game - an epic Western road trip adventure set in an alternate 19th-century America, traversing the frontier with a band of companions. You are Harley Leger, a former boxing champion turned journalist, willing to travel for a good story. You're joined by a crew of archetypes (contemplative Asian sharpshooter with a past in gangs, Danny, was my favourite). There's a showman (con artist?) and his assistant (Danny). There's a freedom fighter. There's a Native American raised by a doctor. And there's a moody caravan-owner to take you on your trip. And it's quite a trip: Mechanically, it offers variety not seen in every adventure games. Choices matter, sure, but so do friendships. Who do you spend your time with? Who'll be there for you as you uncover a deeper mystery that you ever set out to? By the end of the game, I had that rare 'wow' and contemplative feeling I recall from Grim Fandango, when you and the character reflect on the journey you've taken, how you got there, and the deeper meaning to everything. If you're worried about the play style - there's no actual combat, and it's 'just' and point and click. The nature of the game - with its mini-stories along the way - make it easier to pick up and put down, if you so wish. Nothing is ever too overwhelming. Nothing is seriously depressing. It's escapism. At its core, Rosewater is a game about stories and storytelling. Stories within stories, and the way we write and live them. If you enjoy stories, or write for a living, you'll enjoy this game. And did I mention the quality of the art and voice acting? If you've played Baldur's Gate 3, you'll hear a familiar voice.I seriously love this game in playtesting. If this sounds like an ad, sorry: I'm a copywriter - it's my style, and I'm just genuinely enthusiastic about this game. It's phenomenal. I was paid nothing, and bought a Steam copy in order to review it there. GO BUY AND PLAY IT!!!

Adventure Game Hotspot
Its obstacles may not put up much of a fight, but Rosewater’s sharpshooting lies with its wonderful production value and freedom of choice in this character-driven Western, earning itself a big “Yeehaw!” for fun and replayability.

Rosewater is an epic point-and-click Western adventure that will satisfy fans of both genres. It’s easy to see the love that Grundislav Games have put into making Harley’s Rosewater tale as immersive and as riveting as possible. This epic, 20+ hour-long adventure, with its weaving narratives and character development, feels grandiose and impressive. This adventure title makes you feel like you are truly part of the action, with your choices determining Harley and her posses’ destiny.

Meristation
Rosewater is an ambitious point and click graphic adventure set in the Wild West, filled with random decisions and events, and boasting spectacular graphics that employ rotoscoping technique. Unfortunately, its emphasis on narrative takes its toll on the pace and the quantity and quality of its puzzles, which won't excite veteran fans of the genre.
