Incredible music and environments. The desert seems to be everyone’s main beef with this game. I’m indifferent to it. The bike is fun, and definitely an interesting addition to the game. The NPCs add character, and the infamous Myles Mackenzie is not nearly as troublesome as I thought it might be. It reminds me alot of Metroid Prime 3, which I also loved. I highly recommend this game to fans and non-fans.

It was a long wait for this game, and I believe the wait was worth it. The combat is peak Metroid Prime, the music is amazing, the world looks gorgeous. It’s such a fun game to play that’s both nostalgic of the old games but adds awesome new elements. The psychic abilities makes puzzles even more interesting, and Vi-O-La, the bike, is really cool and fun to drive around. I loved also the boss battles and scanning to learn the lore behind the planet. Metroid Prime 4 has been a joy to embark on and my favorite Nintendo release this year.

Please read this before you make assumptions about the game. There are low points in this game especiallywith some npc's and the desert. but its not really that much of the game and the highs of this game more than make up for it. At it's best it is maybe the greatest game of all time. Viola also works surprisingly well for this game and it is a must play

It is a Metroid prime game through and through. Although the desert area is completely unnecessary as well as the NPC’s, but I have developed a soft spot for them and they aren’t that bad. I do personally feel the big gaming outlets blew things out of proportions for likes and I do think some purest ruin the reputation of the new entry, but the gameplay, combat, music, and exploration is peak Metroid and is a acceptable entry in the modern era.

I can only describe this game with two words "PURE METROID". The game has the ADN of all the Metroid games, there is people judging it without even trying it. The desert doesn’t feel like a good addition but it doesn’t bother me, because the game itself it’s really fun to play. Also I’m playing it in the switch 1 and its jaw dropping how good it looks in a console with almost 9 years.

Prepare for beyond, Metroid Prime 4 blew me away. Retro Studios nailed the atmosphere, the exploration, the combat — everything just feels tight and insanely polished since corruption, the world design pulls you in and keeps you wanting to push deeper, and the visuals are some of the best I’ve ever seen enhancing the immersion and keeps you locked in. The soundtrack is easily some of the best hits although short and sweet, when the music hits, it hits good. If you're a fan of the originals and progressed through and beaten all games you'll admire what retro studios has done and the care they've put in from the bosses, the music and even the levels themselves. Try it for yourself and put the hours in. It’s not perfect in the sense of a few late-game backtracking moments that are a bit padded, light character moments of dialogue but none of that changes and a slightly less than amazing dessert. But that's not the main focus point when looking at the whole picture as you play you realize how incredible the overall experience is. The highs massively outweigh the small flaws and how overblown they are. This is Metroid at its peak in the modern era. Easily a 10/10 for me.

Nintendo is a waste of time and money in 2025. What they achieved with the Switch is essentially undone with the Switch 2. There are no first-party games, the ones that release are handholdy and/or unpolished and the innovation has come to a halt. The wait for anything new is unbearable, with this title being underwhelming after a decade of waiting. Metroid prime 4 is essentially what is wrong with Nintendo. You NEED the Amibo ($30) to get the full game. Anything they don't like gets either taken down or sued, the products are always under surveillance (system bricking) and they offer no value for the price they set. I am deeply disappointed. No recommendation today

A slap in the face to the fans who waited years for this. Super linear and handyholdy. Made me sell my Switch 2 and stop playing video games altogether. Nintendo is clearly dumbing down the franchise to appeal to a much younger audience, and as a result, Metroid has lost its identity. A nightmare from a game design perspective with the NPCs and barren dessert. Simply baffling. Please don't buy this is you're on the fence because low sales will communicate to Nintendo that we deserve better than this. Hopefully it doesn't sell too well because the franchise is doomed if the future games take this direction. I will concede that visually it's impressive but that's all it has going for it. If you want a true Metroid experience, go with Super Metroid and Metroid Prime Remastered. Don't settle for this childish, watered-down sequel. Seriously better ways to spend your time and money.

The atmosphere and soundtrack in general is perfect, I’ve been enjoying the soundtrack so much even while not playing the game. The gun play feels flawless switching between joystick and mouse controls, the game is more linear than other Metroid games and the desert section is lacking, however the puzzles and “dungeons” are very well made and detailed, these more streamlined challenges, “dungeons” and bosses remind me more to a classic Zelda than a classic Metroid, and that’s not a bad thing at all.

I have been looking forward to Metroid Prime 4 beyond since 2017 and I must say it was definitely worth the wait. Retro Studios delivered more than I expected them to, with me screenshotting some views and locations because I'm asking myself "This is on Nintendo?!" Anyhow. I've been an enjoyer of the prime series since 2002. And what I will say is it definitely lives up to the series reputation. Beautiful visuals, creatures that feel like they naturally belong to the environment, and controls that feel just as intuitive as I remember prior games being. There are SOME nitpicks I do have however. I would love more to do in the open world desert location of Sol Valley. It definitely has some interesting places for the player to discover and they're worth checking out! BUt the vast layout of the desert makes it feel desolate without anything to do. But each of the individual regions which you will undoubtedly be spending WAY more time in have been fully fleshed out with amazing biomes and life that wants to get ya at every turn. And while I dislike the fact some stuff are unlockable via Amiibo, everything is essentially something that you can unlock without as well so take that as you will. I do not have a problem with the NPC Characters either. While Miles is silly and maybe not the most badass marine out there, he does his job which is to be support and a tech guy. Samus is neither of those and her having someone able to offer it to her adds a bit of life that was otherwise missing and helps to remind me that Samus isn't just a solo hunter. Prime Hunters and 3 showcased this in some shape or form as did Other M and it's good to see the trend kind of coming back. Overall, I have spent over 10 hours in the game already and while I am not completely finished with the game, I still have much more in me and what I've experienced in the first 3 explorable zones have left me eager for more. While I wish I could give it a 9.7 or 9.8 due to the slight drawbacks I've found, I think the game is perfectly playable and enjoyable.

The most polarizing Prime game, and I do understand why some point out its flaws, but they never add up to a bad game for me. The only real complaint is the areas not being as complex in design, but on the flip side, these boss battles are the best in the series. Hopefully they get to make another one, and let’s finally get rid of the tedious tasks at the very end of Prime games to reach the boss, it’s time find better solutions. Still, nothing, I mean NOTHING, will ever match this feeling in gaming.

This game is a travesty for 8 years worth of development. The environments have lost all their personality. The bike is a useless item that has no function other than to drive you around A MOSTLY EMPTY DESSERT, which the game keeps forcing you through at every available point. TThe bosses are reskins of one another. Most of the attacks carry across in nearly all cases. There's about 6 enemies in the game that get different colours. Theres also the boss fights on the bike which aren't difficult but a chore to do as the bike is beyond useless. And whoever help you you may be collecting those green crystals throughout the game, because it's been 4 hours of a 12 hour playthrough. Tedious padded, misbalanced nonsense. And you may be on adderal for the final boss because you need the reflexes of a coked up squirrel be in any way useful. Boring tedious **** gets a 4 as the music is phenomena.

Jaw dropping visuals. Best looking game Nintendo has ever made. Runs perfectly. Everything just feels good. The game plays it safe and that make sense. Metroid has never been a popular franchise and I am knew to the seirse starting with Metroid Dread and I went to play Metroid 1, super Metroid, Metroid fusion, prime remastered. The desert all though a little boring with no music and gathering repetitive green crystals, every Nintendo game has something like that. Each individual area feels dark and alone. All though there are NPC characters they aren’t in the game all that much including Miles **** switch 2 edition of the game looks really good. And that’s why I gave it an 8/10 Really good.

This product shines in its presentation! The visuals are polished and the sound design is excellent, creating a strong first impression. It feels good to play and the controls remain dependable throughout. Sadly, the strengths end there. The bad : 1). The desire to overcorrect what was done with Other M is still present.. but instead of writing good dialogue, Samus doesn't say a thing (so as not to ruin her), and the unwanted chatter is instead given to NPC companions that can't help but gush about how great Samus is.. maybe even enough to sacrifice themselves for her. Overall, these NPCs don't match the established identity of the franchise and now even get in the way of the gameplay.. requiring talking to someone to get upgrades, and even babysitting during combat, for example. Then there's unwanted hints and pointless reminders. -- 2). The game is underwritten, and even presents a cliche story filled with familiar tropes.. like a lost civilization that misuses its advanced technology and suffers for it, a prophecy of a savior that is required to collect a resource and put a thing somewhere (a tasks they area clearly capable of carry out themselves), failing to deliver on the expectations **** villain by not even giving it a decent background and the attempt results in something even less compelling! Not to mention there's no emotional weight in its events, despite its attempts. There's a scene where a character explains that they became psychic by placing psychic crystals in their foreheads. Sequences are painfully predictable and even use familiar tricks (like a fake-out sacrifice), the ending is unsatisfying and the conclusions reached does not reward the time invested. Overall, it feels cheap or rushed.. or worse, minimum effort! Writing being this way makes sense, as this is more of a Stand-Alone experience than a continuation of the PRIME franchise.I personally dislike tone deaf additions and strange choices.. like the overdone Akira slide that adds nothing to the game, or how Metroids forcefully "used" in the story without any thought behind the implementation.. or how it has "bad" linearity (unlike Fusion) and it is beyond noticeable and limiting with the expectations I had. There's also a lack of isolation I disliked. -- 3). Loading screens are obvious and very prevalent. Long stretches of nothing happening take away from the experience. Agonizing padding with traversal and forced resource grinding. -- 4). The dreaded "open world" sections feel unappealing and empty. -- 5). The arsenal of upgrades show very little imagination and a lack of creativity. Almost everything is labeled as "psychic" + thing.. which comes across as lazy, without mentioning redundant and safe. There's little to nothing to get excited about. -- 6). The overall gameplay shows no meaningful growth. In fact, it may be a step back from earlier entries. --7). Even the small irritations, like a constant low energy beeping reminiscent of the first PKMN game on the GameBoy. IN THE END, the game works well enough to be playable and it offers moments of entertainment, but it rarely rises above the feeling of a product assembled with minimal ambition. Everything else on top of the general gameplay drags it down.. and weirdly, it felt more like past Zeldas than a Metroid **** you liked the previous entries and want "more of the same" (maybe slightly worse now that we've seen these tricks before) you'll like it. But as this company continues to decline in quality, it becomes harder to overlook the lack of care.. and personally, I am tired of mediocre products that aren't close to being the best they could be. Even more so after so many years of development.

I'm shocked at the critics and random hate the games getting. I've played every single metroid game. Prime 1 is my favourite of all time and metroid fusion is my favourite 2d one of all time. Prime 4 is exactly what I wanted and expected. Proper metroid vibes, different areas to explore power ups to collect epic boss battles. I'm glad it stuck to its roots, zelda botw is a good game but I pefer ocarina of time and twilight princess style i.e. the old school traditional nintendo magic. Prime 4 keeps that magic. People are so fried I honestly don't get their problem. Also graphics and gameplay are a 10. Voiced NPCs don't bother me at all. To nitpick at that and treat it like the world has ended is pretty sad. Overall game doesn't deserve the hate and I can only hope it all gets ignored so the developers are happy to make Prime 5.

Un juego fantástico. Puro Metroid.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is a game with moments that justify the wait: excellent dungeons, a powerful atmosphere, and bosses reminiscent of the best of Prime. It's a game worth every penny. No doubt about it... Its graphics, its story, its gameplay, every mission makes you feel like you're in a different world—it all fulfills its objective 100%. This is a Pure Metroid Prime for fans, but also this is a Metroid for newcomers who want to try something different, and it's also a Metroid for veterans who want much more from the Prime **** game is ambitious... Yes, very much so... which might be penalized by that somewhat uneven open world that limits you to using the motorcycle and a couple of missions or battles you have to do, but...I can't deny that, as a fan, I'm very satisfied with what I'm playing. The game has me on the edge of my seat, and I want to keep playing it more and more...Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is simply a fantastic game that everyone should play...

Yes, it has its flaws, but they’re not nearly as bad as Eurogamer makes them out to be with three of their studios all giving it a 60, as if coordinated. It’s obviously just a cry for attention. The game is exactly what Metroid Prime fans expect. Don’t let the fun be ruined just because some people have a grudge against Nintendo.

Metroid 4: Beyond feels like the moment the series has been aiming for, a perfectly balanced mix of exploration, combat, and atmosphere that stays strong from start to finish. Every area is crafted with intention, filled with secrets that genuinely reward curiosity, and the overall pacing is spot on. Samus moves with impressive fluidity, turning simple traversal into something genuinely addictive. Boss fights stand out for their creativity, not just their challenge, using mechanics that demand attention and create memorable encounters. The music and sound effects add real weight to every scene, enhancing the sense of immersion. It is rare to find a game this consistent and confident in its identity. Metroid 4: Beyond does not just uphold the legacy of the franchise, it raises the standard. A score of 100 feels fully deserved.

Zero sense of discovery. A formula shift for Metroid that genuinely does not work. An empty desert hub connecting multiple hyper linear zones that completely railroad the player and practically hand everything to the player on a silver platter. The game asks very little from the player. Most gameplay involves just having the right power. Occasionally there will be a more interesting morph ball platforming section or more involved puzzle. The bosses are one of the only highlights of this games. Truly abysmal level design.
