Ball X Pit has some fun mechanics, not enough variety in weapon and item types, a bunch of pointless filler, and is overall an okay idle game disguised as a subpar roguelite. The variety of characters and bosses, eventual ability to play two characters simultaneously, and weapon/item combination mechanics are the positives. Even then, some of the characters are just filler. there's one that literally just plays for you and another that makes all upgrade decisions for you. the ball and item combinations can be fun, but could've gone further with more combination opportunities. it's missing out on what could've been some incredible synergy mechanics as well. the base building is novel at first but eventually feels like an absolute slog. I'm getting bored writing this review, so I'm gonna call it here.
