Session: Skate Sim10
May 22, 2024
User reviews on here are largely populated by ignorant troll psyho-babble and this game's user reviews are no different. This is akin to THPS as much as Mario Kart is to a truck driving simulator. This is not an arcade game, the controls are complex but intuitive due to the fact they reflect the real life motions required to execute different tricks. Like skating, it's hard at first but gets easier the more you play; after not too long all your favorite tricks will become second nature. Considering how small of a dev team the game looks pretty good, and if you're a fan of skate videos you'll recognize a lot of famous spots, something that other games have attempted but never have pulled off in this amount (or this well). If you enjoy skating in reality you'll likely enjoy this skateboarding SIM.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition0

The font size of the text in this game is ridiculously small, rendering it impossible for me to play. There isn't an option in the options menu to adjust this either which is simply pathetic in 2020. Frankly the entire in-game UI is way too small, keep a magnifying glass close to you if you still plan on playing this, though I recommend you don't.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City10
Mar 22, 2012
Having more in common with Left 4 Dead and Lost Planet 2 then any Resident Evil title in terms of gameplay, some may be put off simply because this is so dissimilar to anything else in the RE universe. With that said, if gamers approach Operation Raccoon City bearing in mind that this is an entirely new genre for RE, what they'll find is a game full of RE fan service and plenty of gory fun; at it's best when enjoyed with friends.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim10

For the history books, Skyrim should stand as the unchallenged high water mark of this console generations' RPG genre. Today's RPG aficionados will not see a more in-depth and beautiful product until a whole new generation of gaming hardware comes along. All gamers, RPG inclined or not, should seize the moment by diving into Skyrim head first; it is Bethesda's most approachable and enjoyable creation to date.
