Demon's Souls0
Jan 4, 2026
The Demon’s Souls remake is a masterclass in missing the point. It looks expensive, sure, but it feels like someone sandblasted away everything that made the original special and then proudly called it an upgrade. The atmosphere is the biggest casualty. The original’s oppressive weirdness—its dirty, uncanny, “something’s wrong here” vibe—gets replaced with glossy spectacle. Every corner is overlit, overdetailed, and overconfident, like it’s trying to impress you instead of unsettle you. That strange, lonely dread? Gone. And the sound design is straight-up butchered. The original had restraint: sharp silences, thin echoes, ugly little noises that made the world feel hostile and hollow. The remake swaps that for louder, busier, more “cinematic” audio that constantly steps on the mood. It’s noise where there used to be tension. What’s almost impressive is how it manages not to make a single thing meaningfully better. Not the tone, not the identity, not the feel—just a prettier shell that misunderstands the soul of the game. It’s like restoring a haunted house by turning it into a showroom: immaculate, polished, and completely dead inside.

Ghost of Yokeu — A Deranged Samurai Soap Opera No One Asked For Where do I even begin? Ghost of Yokeu promises revenge, samurai duels, and epic landscapes, but it delivers a clumsy mess that feels half-hearted and terribly overhyped. Story & Characters
The narrative reads like a perfunctory checklist: “Family murdered? Check. Mysterious masked villains? Check. Vague spiritual sidequests? Check.” The protagonist is supposed to be haunted, driven, nuanced — but instead comes across as a cardboard cut-out with a vendetta and zero personality beyond “angry.” Every NPC spouts clichés. Dialogue is so forced that I kept expecting someone to break into a soliloquy about honor over a campfire, complete with thunder in the background. Gameplay & Combat
You’d hope for fluid swordplay and tight mechanics in a samurai game. Nope. The duels feel sloppy, the AI is inconsistent — sometimes the enemy fights like a suicidal samurai, other times they rubber-band around or stand still while you mash buttons. And don’t get me started on the “special move” animations: dramatic, flashy, and utterly useless when you’re swarmed by three goons and the camera flips upside down. Open World & Exploration
The “vast open world” is full of empty stretches, pointless collectibles, and filler missions like “go fetch X from cave Y so I can remember my past.” The landscapes are okay to look at, but they lack life — animals, villagers, background events — everything feels sterile, as though someone forgot to populate the world. Fast travel and map features are poorly designed, making navigation more of a chore than a pleasure. Technical & Design Issues
Bugs, glitches, and jank abound. I watched my horse clip through walls. Enemies sometimes pop into existence mid-scene. The camera frequently locks during fights, making counterattacks feel like a guessing game. Graphical consistency wobbles — sometimes the lighting looks great, other moments it looks like PS3 midlife. Conclusion
Ghost of Yokeu is a bloated, oversold game that aims for poetic vengeance but ends up as a lackluster, derivative experience. It’s a bland retread of samurai tropes, dressed in flashy visuals and padded with filler, with barely a spark of originality. Avoid it — unless you just want to suffer through melodramatic anger for 40+ hours.

What an incredible game. The art, the music, the narrative, the gameplay.
Anyone that doesn't like this game simply doesn't like complex things. This is perfected art in video game form.

Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred0

Extremely boring and repetitive. Completely soulless. Blizzard can't make games any longer. They have truly become a lazy company trying to earn some easy cash on former success. And of course they invest in gaming journalists to give them good reviews. This is ad low as a company can get.
