Disenchantment: Season 39
Feb 6, 2021
I'm seeing it now: this show has let go of all vexations to satisfy the majority masses, embracing tone-deaf humor with such obvious pride that we can't help but acknowledge the amount of ridiculousness it has achieved. Your typical high-quality cartoon can't top this, let alone the ones critics praise that do too much. It's because the writers have learned to move beyond mastering the art of jokes (and writing itself). This show leads the way into a new era of comedy genre, if not, sub-genre.

Broadchurch: Season 22
Jul 26, 2020
Many plot points are overshadowed by highlights from Broadchurch's first series having been dragged into season 2 to unspeakably distasteful and poorly executed measures. It becomes frustrating and exhausting for us to power through meaningless character dialogue and mundane interaction when we have been beaten down into disappointment time and time again after knowing how courtroom scenes have purposely failed to provide us any gratification left to salvage from our unsettling awareness that Joe Miller has pleaded "not guilty" in the start of his trial, and may, in a highly likely scenario, get off scot free. The issue with which we must compare season 2 to season 1 is its derivativeness in finding credibility in the way it decides to finish things once in for all, even when the end-product might come to our greatest dissatisfaction and disapproval. Closing scenes are but a disgraceful attempt at uplifting viewers, the victim's family, and the wife of the child molester, to reverse what damage cannot be undone.

Tuca & Bertie8
May 27, 2019
For all the bubbly, drug-trip animations that seem to assist in keeping along the show's establishment, there isn't not the deep stuff hidden underneath for us to pick at--people, especially whom this comedy is targeted towards (adults), are expecting all the goodness: enriched, developed themes with which the audience can only hope will do over-necessary justice for Tuca & Bertie's predecessor Bojack Horseman.
However, this all-empowering and outrageously creative cartoon work seems to do things differently. Sure, it's more fun than serious, it's more out-there than restrictive, but it's intention definitely isn't lacking, or in respect to that, any less meaningful than what could have been.

Mindhunter: Season 18
Apr 27, 2019
Mindhunter is a growing thriller-esque crime drama that never sees the day of light, to set the tone. This offers a chance for relationships and chemistry to shine through, whether with spouse or peer. One thing for sure is Mindhunter is steadily withheld in its own lane; those lengthy scenes of interrogation are highly necessarily in appropriating the series as doing it risky when it seems to not.

Catastrophe: Season 48
Mar 17, 2019
Under the layers, if any, it follows another regulatory pattern of happenings but, for the most, prioritizes its subjects, humor, and our attraction towards this married couple as an added bonus.

The Magicians (2016): Season 38
Feb 23, 2019
Season 3, specifically its one filler episode, demonstrates abundant and logical creativity within its original premises. It finally feels like we can identify what The Magicians wants to show us. And we are surprisingly treated with an unsolicited turn to Julia's part of development: a character who remains flawless other than the fact that only her past can trouble her, which can be refreshing, to the least, from someone whom we thought had little potential in the beginning, but at the same time, that detail may paradoxically harm what strong poise the show currently withholds. Nonetheless, adventures in a fantasy world feel magically un-daunting to the max, despite the oscillating weight each episode has expended

The Magicians (2016): Season 15
Feb 19, 2019
It's really a shame. The last two episodes of The Magicians were simply marvelous. Why couldn't it have carried so much potential to begin with?

Russian Doll: Season 19
Feb 11, 2019
Near-perfect and absolutely brilliant. It's best watched when you're not in a 'normal' mood. That's the thing about this existentialist drama. If you choose to watch till the end, it's like you'll know everything after. If you don't, then you'll be forever oblivious, forever trapped in a time loop just like Nadia and Alan's alternative selves were in parallel universes.

Insecure: Season 39
Feb 10, 2019
Insecure's third season makes another strong comeback, this time with punchier, upbeat background music to go along with its different take on direction, humor, and attitude never so bold before. Of course, the show's greatest feat would be its writing, characters, and their lives, all intertwined beautifully and swiftly.

PEN15: Season 18
Feb 10, 2019
PEN15 manages to wrap up everything that is about 7th grade, into 7th grade. It's incredible how our first impressions of these two cringe-y and sometimes unbearable bffs (played by grown woman) turn into our love and sympathy for them. The first few episodes of the show are, indeed, hard to get through, but over time, it gets easier to adapt, and is definitely worth watching through to the end.

YOU: Season 16
Feb 5, 2019
It's good to where it's average, but YOU doesn't bring anything new to the table. From what was seen in the last two decades, I can assure that it doesn't in anyway stand out much.

BoJack Horseman: Season 59
Oct 6, 2018
The show out-competes itself again, stronger. What Bojack and Diane have is precious, too precious, and that makes the entire season level beyond its original genre.

Castle Rock (2018): Season 15
Sep 1, 2018
the crazy and messiness of the plot make Castle Rock's season 1 all the more unconvincing

13 Reasons Why: Season 24
May 22, 2018
The show is justifying by delving into its last season's devastation, i'll give it that. But prolonged and like the embodiment of one dodging important questions with only some implicated truth, 13 reasons why is frustrating more than it is insightful.

Channel Zero: Season 39
Apr 21, 2018
A show for creepypastas come to life, season 3's somehow brilliant storytelling leaves you wanting more, managing its scenes with the delicacy of such horror in ways that isn't your typical spooky presentation.

Louie: Season 15
Apr 21, 2018
An extremely self-aware, sometimes funny stick in the mud. Season 1 of Louie's cons outweigh its pros.

Imposters: Season 110
Apr 9, 2018
This show is smarter than it seems. It's this, Imposters, along with its slick storytelling and plot twists, that will leaving you wanting more.

How to Get Away With Murder: Season 410
Mar 10, 2018
Already in the first episode, How to get away with murder is capable of converting its dramatic qualities down to a secluded whole of impeccable character development and narrative structure, unraveling the vicious storm that's clever enough to match its overboard-ness.

You're the Worst: Season 49
Oct 28, 2017
you're the worst runs on its commitment from previous seasons, heading its characters in new directions and embracing its most prize-possessing moments by the shortest humorous expressions that make the show itself (unique).
