Pros: 1. A lot of buildings now have interiors 2. A lot of people on the streets - seems more realistic 3. 3D map Cons: 1. Total lack of gameplay in modern-day sections 2. A lot of chests, unlockables etc. are locked behind multiplayer **** 3. Current amount of money isn't displayed on screen (you have to go to map to see it) 4. All weapon classes apart from basic sword kinda **** 5. Battle system is now utter click-to-death crap. And yet we're still being chased by 10+ enemies 6. Smoke bomb no longer allows you to perform instant executions 7. No ships at all (even non-sailable ones) 8. Arno is way to easy to kill 9. Paris is kinda boring 10. Eagle Vision now has a cooldown times 11. Overabundance of optional chests, missions and other collectibles 12. QTE lockpicking (instead of a system used in AC3) 13. Enemies can somehow evade bullets fired at them (even if they are fired in point-black range amid thick smoke bomb fog) 14. QTE battle with one of "bosses" 15. Poor optimization 16. Long loading times 17. Final boss is a ripoff of Star Wars' emperor. Hooded cloak and lightnings are included 18. Parkour system is even less controllable then before. Verdict: 1/10 (rock bottom). Ubisoft is showing us master class of making the worst game in the series: take tediousness and enemy kiting of AC1, throw a pinch of AC3 bugs and boredom, and add a spoonful of s*it.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

Shadow of Mordor's main problem is that it tries to copy other games (Assassin's Creed and Batman Arkham Asylum) without understanding what makes those games worth playing - it's not climbing. sticky running and fighting f*ckton of enemies at once that makes AC likable; and beat-up system of Batman doesn't really work as good with actual swords. Overall we have an openworld game with tiny world, inane captain system, endless slashing through always respawning hordes, tacked-on stealth and no hubs, short campaign and annoying cutscenes

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter

Nice premise, nice visuals, but the game completely lacks direction or logic. You are supposed to be a living breathing human detective, who sets out to find a missing boy named Ethan (as explained in prequel comic); but: 1. you arrive to the middle of nowhere ON FOOT, through long abandoned train tunnel, which of you go through backwards leads you to the same area as you entered it in 2. you can survive fall from a cliff I went in expecting strictly atmospheric investigation game with some paranormal, and even if game somewhat started as that, it was rather quickly broken by jump scare undead (zombie?) attack in the mine. Another fault of the game is that it is essentially walking simulator, with trying to find object you can interact with. The Vanishing of Ethan Carter had potential, but it went down the drain

A 2014 game that is far more simplistic than game released in 1999. That's right - aside from graphics, it doesn't even come close to complexity of the first Homeworld Needless to say, Ancient Space is a disappointment

Yet another pretentious artsy walking simulator, a-la Gone Home and Dear Esther. There is no actual substance in this "game", and nothing interesting happens.
