The game looks great, character models are expressive and detailed. The courses are buzzing with activity from chooks to crop harvesters to wind farms, but this can make the courses feel cluttered and quite difficult to get around (who puts a three storey bail of hay on a golf course?). The game doesnt really have a "career mode", but it does have a series of tournaments and one on one challenges that can be played with the stock characters. Unfortunately the difficulty eventually swings way up after a few hours of play and becomes almost impossible to advance without a lot of brute force attempts or a strong dedication to getting better at the game. This changes the feel of the game from something that was addictive and fun to something frustrating and non-inclusive. The easy mode that becomes available after you lose a bunch of times can hold back opponent scores while on the course, but that didnt seem to make any difference at all. Applying spin to the ball is fidly and not as fun as the Tiger Woods way of just tapping the x button and pointing the analog stick in the direction you want it to go. The inability to create your own character and level up his stats is unfortunate. What could have been a truly perfect golf game is soured mostly by its uncompromising difficulty curve. A beginner option for the inexperienced who just want to see the game and all of its courses and higher difficulty settings for those who want more of a challenge would have been warmly welcomed. Dark souls golf isnt much fun.

The story is dull. Just generic dark fantasy blah that goes in one ear and out the other. The characters aren't very interesting. Constantly running through dark caves/tunnels/dungeons becomes way too monotonous. The soundtrack isn't memorable, or at least, I don't remember any part of it the way I do with Starcraft 2. The gameplay is supposed to be the main attraction but it's just a lot of click click clicking on zombies, and clicking even harder on the tougher enemies. Looting isn't much fun either. You scoop up belts and swords, most of which is worth almost nothing and occasionally upgrade to something a little better. I don't get it, what is the appeal? Nothing about this game stands out as memorable or addictive or fun. Pretty boring stuff.

I couldn't play past the first hour. -You can't scope aim unless you're up against a crate, even if its more advantageous to be out in the open. -Blind fire almost never hit the target. Even when in fairly close range -The tranq dart didn't even have a reticle when aiming (at least it didn't for me on the PC version) making it damn near useless. How the hell do I hit the enemy?? -Enemy handguns never had more than a single bullet in them -Melee takedowns require battery and if you don't have enough charge, it will deny you the right to use them even if you are a second from death. -You can't take more than a few hits before you get the raspberry blood screen and have to go back through the loading screen. A challenge is a challenge but this combined with all of the above is infuriating. As someone who tries to play stealthy but just can't, I got into a lot of gunfights. The combat is so unbelievably bad, crippling you and your ability to dispose of bad guys. Nothing could drag me back to play this again. I hear the story is pretty good though.

Story is interesting, voice work is great. Most quests involve running through sewers, caves or country side - all of which you have seen 100 times before. During combat enemies come in waves. Killing 10 will almost always guarantee that 10 or 20 more will follow. The combination of the repeated environments and awful, grating combat proves the game didn't receive enough development time and has been padded beyond belief. Disappointing.
