Playing this game makes me wanna thrust my sword skyward into the nearest lightbulb outlet. Motion controls ruined the gameplay for me, and I found everything else to be bland.

Because I just love when my cavegirl Ayla from the year 65,000,000 BC emerges into the year 2300 A.D. and doesn't even mention the mechs and robots walking around. Or how Marle is only important during the first 1 hour of gameplay before her character becomes void of all meaning. And how about those sudden spikes in difficulty? One moment it's smooth sailing and the next you're facing a boss who deals 180 HP of damage every round. But hey, I'm a big kid. I can handle it, babe. I just simply choose not to, and play a more balanced and better designed game.

Remember Castlevania? It was like Dark Souls! Because it was so difficult for its time. And Battletoads? Ghosts 'n Goblins? Zelda 2? All those games were like Dark Souls! Because lord knows we can't have a conversation about ANY challenging game/game with swords and shields these days, without it somehow being compared to Dark Souls! Ocarina of Time may go down in history as being the best Dark Souls game, but all work and no Dark Souls makes Souls a Souls Souls.

This is SUCH a good game to be free. Princess Remedy may be charming, but don't let her cutesy looks fool you. This is a bullet-hell game with teeth sharp enough to bite you on the butt! I was literally on the edge of my seat, feeling my heart race, as I played through on the Master difficulty setting. Getting owned by hordes of projectiles, only to dive back in with rethought-out strategy never felt so rewarding. Download. Play. Marry the Apathetic Frog and live happily ever after.

Meleehalla was better!!! How about fixing the servers? Why invest all that time getting good with a character only to take your skills online and get destroyed because you're teleporting all over the map? Only a game that's unplayable deserves a score of zero, and Brawlhalla's online servers earn it such a dishonor. Think it's just my ping? WRONG! I have fast cable net with low ping. Google "Brawlhalla server lag" and you can read all about the many others having the same problem. And dear god... did Blue Mammoth seriously remove the ability to dodge attacks in their latest patch?! Stick with Smash Brothers, boy and girls. I kept the faith in hoping this game would eventually turn a corner, yet it's only getting worse.

Sorry, Zero Sammy, but you'll never compare to your Justin Bailey sister. Your hair isn't even neon green for chrissake! Oh. And this game features security cameras which can detect the smallest pixel of your toe hanging below a ledge. Yay for realism in a game about destroying space pirates and geega holtz.

Capcom needs to bring Breath of Fire to Steam. Sound and visuals are the best part of BoF IV. The weaker of the two PSone games, but that's like saying the Carrera GT is the worst Porsche. You'd still gladly drive it.

People you meet in towns offer zero dialogue to the adventure. "How's the weather?" There's just nothing interesting that ever happens. Writing in this game is seriously poor, and the pacing and balance is also whacked. A rocky start for my favorite RPG series.

Final Fantasy fans think inside the box. Ultima guys think outside the box. Dragon Quest players think about the box. Breath of Fire loyalists know what the box is thinking. Doesn't that beat all? Well... this game... Breath of Fire 3... certainly beats all.
