Unfortunately, the masses have been far too stupid to understand this intelligent, complex & multi-faceted film. The majority of viewers fail to even detect it’s complex messages, and aren’t able to conceptualize that this movie is both meaningful AND fantastical. Fans of films like 365 days, with their porn rotted brains, fail to see that it is not just sex. On the other hand, many viewers are so sex-averse that the second they see sexuality represented on screen their brains shut down completely, and they default to simply disgusted. The only real issues with this film are some minor issues in pacing, & mediocre colorgrading.

Superman is overhyped. The way people talked about it had me thinking it’d be at least-semi enjoyable, but it’s just a kids movie. It lacks depth & appeals. There’s no interesting characters. Superman has the personality of a cardboard box. He’s just a man with superpowers. There’s nothing interesting about his personality. No interesting perspective. None of that. Despite its juvenility, it’s not that fun either. It’s only sometimes funny. The action is the best part, but it’s not enough to hold up the entire film. Visually it’s high quality, but not memorable. The dog was cute though.
