This **** is absolutely crazy to me are you just not allowed to have a single good idea at activision what the **** is happening

Bioshock is a very special game in FPS history and will probably stay as one of my favorites in the genre forever. The mystery and atmosphere of rapture are unmachted and the story contains an actually shocking twist near the end. Bioshock 2 improved om some janky gameplay aspects of this game but overall i would still say i prefer the first game because of how memorable it is. The only real downside is that the final couple hours are honestly very rough with some **** ass levels and a very dissapointing final boss fight, but honestly this came out in like 2007 and its atmosphere and worldbuilding was already enough of a reason to play it on its own.

Bioshock 2 is extremely underappreciated and has everything i could have wanted out of a bioschock sequel. It doesnt try anything new with the setting or story but rather irons out all the janky parts from the first game; plasmids and guns can be used at the same time, theres no more categories of tonics allowing for some crazy builds, the hacking is now in real time and much easier, the selecton of levels is much more consistent overall and the gunplay got some much needed weight added to it. This game was never gonna live up to what made the first game so special, but that was also never what i wanted from it.

What you have to understand about me before reading this review is that the only thing i really expect from a cod game before going in is a smooth shooting gallery type experience, all i really want is to be able to shoot a lot of guys and for it to feel satisfying. For what ive played from this franchise (which is pretty much just this and MW2) black ops does alot to get between you and what i just descripbed, theres constant qte sequences and really annoying breaks in gameplay in general. But what youget for that in return is some actually interesting theming and a story that actually tries to say something which i can really appreciate.
