The opening is fairly cringe worthy, where a sentient dog messes up their first job - but it has zero impact on the story, and honestly should have just been cut. In the opening scene, we get a glimpse of Mario's 'parkour' skills - which are quite good, but only in the opening scene. As soon as he gets his first chance to use it "for real", he suddenly needs a training montage to learn what we already saw in the opening scene. As expected, Peach is a Mary Sue as well. The voice acting for Peach is passable - for a YouTube cosplayer, but not Hollywood. Her animations are worse though. Honestly, she's probably the worst animated character of the series. The writers clearly didn't talk to each other. Early on, we get a look at the world map - which they promptly scrap in the next scene where we have a travel montage that ignores everything we saw on the map by taking the most circuitous route possible, just so they can show off all the scenery, even though they're on a rather severe time crunch. In short, skip it. It's a forgettable movie with a poorly-written plot, mediocre voice acting and only decent animation.

A very pale imitation of the original. I recommend just watching the original instead of this shameless nostalgia-bait.

The only thing this movie has going for it is the visuals, though, in some scenes, even that fails. A lot of the scenes seem to 'clean' and 'sterile', making it obvious that this is a movie set with a lot of green screen work. The plot is basically non-existent and amounts to a fetch-quest of "jump from one place to another and pick up random baddasses who will not do a single thing outside of their opening recruitment **** plot really feels like it's a script badly written by AI, not actual human beings. If any human with a brain had reviewed the script, and given any amount of care to it, this COULD have been decent. Instead, well, I mean, it's a Netflix film. Were you expecting it to be good?

After Mugen Train, I was expecting an actual movie. Unfortunately, the first 45-60 min was just a recap of the end of the last arc. The remainder of the episode was a 'recovery' arc, we got to se a bit of the other Hashira, and they started a training montage - things that will likely be in the first 1-2 episodes of the next season of the anime. Skip it, don't waste your money. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because, like the rest of the series, the production quality is excellent, and there's a slim chance that the non-recap stuff might not make it into the first few episodes of next season.
