Elden Ring is a fantastic game and this is more of it. Like a little more. Like a sliver. Like the hint of a sliver more. If Elden Ring has 140 hours of content about 80 of which are worthy this is 20 hours of content 3 of which are worthy. It's an aggressive difficulty pitch up which maybe is what you're after but it is surprisingly thin in terms of actual content. Wide open spaces but not really enough extra content to be worth more than about a fiver.

The combat and enemy designs are so utterly at odds the game is basically unplayable. As a character all you can do is vaguely wave your sword in the vague direction of enemies, but the enemies assume you have the toolkit of a spectacle fighter. In an attempt to patch the cracks the player character is given an immense health pool and allies who will do all the fighting for you. It's a complete joke.
