Absolutely not recommended: MK1 is a painful misstep. Easily the worst MK of the NRS era. Unbalanced, with Kameos that flatten the gameplay instead of making it more diverse, and the soporific Invasions mode (a hundred times stronger than chamomile with melatonin). Not to mention the so-called "new artistic direction," the bland character designs (I dare you to tell Raiden and Kung Lao apart when they’re not fighting), and the color palette worthy of a Teletubbies episode... Despite being an MK fan for 30 years, I simply can’t defend MK1 — it comes out defeated when compared to all its recent competitors. SF6, T8, and GBVSR are all vastly superior products. MK1 is a failed experiment.
