Hugely underrated game and that's such a shame because it is a lavish and interesting world with delightfully endearing characters. It's another of those that I was bought a long time ago that I've only just played - out of guilt over my neglect and I've thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end, so much so I've now bought the Perfect dlc. There are two small flaws, sometimes the camera angles are annoyingly ropey making fights harder than they should be and conversely during other sections it holds your hand just a bit too happily making these parts too easy. Otherwise I loved it, a fun and interesting take on a classic myth, a beautiful steampunk-esque world I wish I could have explored a lot more and some of the best characters in video games ever.

Don't bother with the installment options of Sonic 4, this really is the superior in every way of the two, I'm annoyed I even bothered with the terrible Sonic 4. This game comfortably fulfills the nostalgia nods to the 90's Sonic games, but updates it all and adds in modern game advances in a much more complete and stylish way. The Sonic games come with quite a few inherent limitations when viewed with modern gaming expectations, but this is Sonic as good as it should be now and it is a lot of fun.

I bought this game when I first got my PS3 in July 2010, played it a little and felt it to be quite inferior to Dark Resurrection that I had on my PSP, apart from the obvious graphic improvements. Now a year later I'm giving it another go and although it has its flaws, it is still a really good fighter. The cast is huge, fun, varied and look great and all the good things are there that you want in a Tekken fighter. The infamous scenario mode is not as bad as some people have made it out to be, it has some pretty big flaws and even compared to other fighters, the story is dire, but basically it's kind of fun and does give you a lot to do if you can't or need a break from online fighting. I didn't even try the scenario mode before because I read how bad it was supposed to be, but now I'm actually about half-way through and finding it quite addictive. The camera angles are sometimes iffy and switching opponents is finicky, so without a doubt it has flaws, but the main part of Tekken is 1v1 fighting and if you treat the scenario mode as extra, then if you take the time it can be fun.

This would have been a fun addition to the series 5 or 6 years ago, but nostalgia for the series can only carry me along in a game so far. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad game, it just feels like a game going over old ground, there was nothing new or surprising added. 10 years in the making and yet it feels like it should have come out in 2005. It has got all the ingredients that made the earlier games great and it still pulls you along with hunter-gatherer desires, but simply put there are other more modern games that do this with more style and newer innovations. The graphics and sound should have been much better, there should have been more varied things to do in the game, it just needed to add something, otherwise what have they been doing with it for 10 years? Games have advanced, Diablo hasn't.

Another game I am extraordinarily bad at, whilst still managing to have an absolutely brilliant time online with. Its fast and furious and very easy to pick up. Fortunately though this game is old there still seems to be a healthy online community, although some names you will get killed by over and over again, offline there isn't too much to get your teeth into though. I laugh a lot when playing this.

I just didn't find this game fun, I tried a few times, but just found it boring and repetitive. I thought I'd give another similar game a try, so I got Comet Crash and that is just so much more enjoyable. Pj Monsters looks nicer (cutesy) but my best advice here is try before you buy.

I am terrible at this game, I've not played any other first-person-shooters and I **** at this. Having said that it is just so much fun and its immediately fun, you load it up and you're online and fighting. It was released quite some time ago, but I've not had any problems finding full online battles. Its obviously not the best looking game, but it is probably the best online war-sim for casual players. Its cheap too. Buy it.

A lovely little game. The gameplay is familiar enough and sticks with what works, but the time techniques offer up a really unique set of rules and ways to complete the tasks. Some of the puzzles in this were really tricky, but I enjoyed playing every moment. It was a game that when I finished it (it is too short) I really longed for more.

This game is just so much fun and it is so beautiful to look at, each area is rendered in amazing detail, so it's a real joy just wandering (or leaping and climbing) around the fully realised cities of Italy. I wasn't expecting it to be so much of a 'sandbox' style environment, you can just roam around for hours. I'm really taking my time with it and doing all the side missions, all the extra bits and pieces will give you a huge amount of game-time. I am fairly new to this era of gaming, but I have swiftly become a huge fan of this game and am very excited about continuing the story. The story is really engrossing and even the NPC's are endearing characters. An Assassin's whole raison d'être is to kill people, so I'm not certain what people who have said its repetitive were expecting, even so there are quite a few other bits to do. It has taken up a large part of my life since I bought it at the beginning of August. Epic, enjoyable and even educational.

I'm surprised by how mixed the reviews have been for this, its just crafted so carefully that it is a joy to play and behold. The inherent repetitive fairly simple nature of side-scrolling beat-em-ups felt like a minor **** because each frame was a pleasure to watch. The music is great, very atmospheric and quite unusual for this type of high-octane game. I didn't know anything about Shank or its comic history, so this isn't biased fanboy speak, but I just found this game worthy of higher praise. I'm only up to level 4, so I can't comment on its longevity, but it is cheap. It is what it is and it doesn't break any boundaries, but it does it with a whole lot of style. You don't need to engage your brain, it is however lots of fun.

Admitedly I only played the demo, but this game is so retro I found myself thinking why bother when I could just be playing Streets of Rage. I get what they've tried to do and they've succeeded, it just does it so well it carries along all the annoying aspects those games had and doesn't seem to improve the concept in anyway. I've never read the comics (and haven't seen the movie) but I am an old gamer and I did used to love the Streets of Rage series, but I couldn't quite figure out what this game did better than a game made back in the 90's did. I'm mentioning Streets of Rage so much because this game felt just too similar, everything from the art, level design and annoying problems. Definitely try before buying, as I think quite a lot of the reviews are looking at these sort of games with rose-tinted nostalgia glasses. Some things are best left as happy memories.
