I'm at a loss why Steam responds to certain games with absolutely overwhelming support, and then lets other games like Fossil Echo or Papo and Yo just sit there. Seems like the arthouse crowd is sometimes too lazy to buy anything on this platform, and some people have absurd expectations with budget titles, which is a shame because games like this deserve better sales. Rime is an amazing experience. It's as simple as that. I played this on PS4, and all I can say is the graphics are even better here, and the FPS is a solid 60 on my 1070/2600K setup with 1080p. Anything more and you might run into some troubles without better hardware. It's totally acceptable that this game wears its inspiration on its sleeves, and yet who cares when it all comes together this well? Miyazaki films, Joaquín Sorolla paintings, and the games Journey and Ico come to mind. This world is so profoundly lovely and attractive that I can basically overlook almost any flaws with the game. The gameplay experience is actually soothing and fun to me, and I enjoy a very wide variety of games and difficulties across genres. No, you aren't going to be challenged like some SMB platformer or a PUBG gun game. It's not meant to be that way. It wouldn't even work that way. This is a relaxing puzzle game that swings toward the easier side, but it makes up for it with a decent amount of collectibles, and the game never overstays its welcome. The graphics and world here are like some amalgamation of a Miyazaki film, Wind Waker, and ABZU/Ico. Honestly, I wasn't sure I was going to be impressed by their world, as there is limited interaction, but it is actually a breathtaking accomplishment. I am injecting SMAA at 1080p and the image quality is fantastic. While not overly detailed the bloomy resonance of the island recalls games like Ico and Shadow of the Colossus in tone to the point you really got to congratulate the team of 18 people in Spain that made this over the years. It was a struggle, but what a diamond that struggle birthed. There is just something wonderful about running around a deserted place that has no equivalency in the modern world. I cannot help but love this thing. It's too charming to hate, too pretty to leave behind, and overall the experience is something that the whole family can enjoy. You would think there would be a bigger audience for such an indie, but with time more and more people will find this gem as it releases on all the platforms. Anyone looking for a beautiful world spanning day and night that wants to solve a few puzzles and gaze at some gorgeous visuals is in for a treat here. Some of the collectibles are hidden fairly well and will take some logical thinking to collect. It's all very peaceful and heartwarming. Highly recommended.

Severely underrated game. I came in expecting just a fraction of what is here. Reviews are insane these days. I'm not really sure what people even expect in games. Apparently, being able to do 4+ sports on a gigantic mountain range where you can wingsuit your way from a hot air balloon and then ski or snowboard down an entire mountain ending up in a village by a frozen lake is not enough anymore. You also have the ability to dictate time of day and ambiance whenever you like. There is always something to guide you properly to where you need to be, and all challenges are easily accessible both on the mountain map and through menus. No other game allows this type of freedom in this genre. Hell, this genre is almost gone. It's sad that people do not want to support games like this anymore. All the while people are online with you, and you can buddy up with other players. Right now I think it's great that you can just ski down the mountain with a random person you just met. I don't get how this game is scoring below an 8 at all. And many do actually agree. At least the people playing the game seem to be enjoying it a lot. There is a decent customer base here too. I hope when the game drops in price more will pick it up. With a 1070 I am getting 1440p and solid 60FPS. I inject SMAA and the image quality is very good. The developers put in an Ultra+ setting for PC players that fixed all the LOD issues. And this was after I specifically asked for this on their forums. The devs always seem to be listening to customer feedback here. Let's get to the show: there is a lot to do in this game. A lot of scores to break. I think more or less people should expect this to be like a Driveclub game. It's all about getting better and better with runs. Yet there is a competent story mode and plenty of customization when it comes to characters. Once you start exploring around and getting a few golds the controls become second nature to me. After the last patch it plays like a dream mostly. Wingsuiting has never been done better. Snowboarding and skiing are entirely competent and at times an amazing experience. Especially for the ten minute runs that have you going over so much terrain. Paragliding is what you want it to be. I never though it was the greatest thing but I did sure think it was nice to have around now and then. Alaska DLC is coming as a free patch for everyone. Nevermind the fact that most games in the past like SSX3 had one mountain not even as big as the main range here. Yes, I too love SSX. But this is a slightly more realistic version of SSX with not as much flash and a lot more realism. Carving and shredding snow has never felt this good in years. Honestly, so far this is a ten for me. The game is everything I needed it to be, and more patches, optimization, and fixes will come in the future. For now the game is online only for those that care, but an offline mode will surely be patched in later. Controls are being tweaked with every patch, so in reality I find most reviews complaining about controls are already irrelevant. And that is something you really can't fix in gaming today: reviews never seem to actually respect the game past day one. And that is a huge problem. Steep is a grand experience that will only get better with time.

All I wanted was a solid, circuit-based racer with amazing graphics and that is what I got. Seems a lot of people built up some crazy hype for themselves. A lot of trolls on here as well. The game is an evolving online game and that is about all there is to say here. First day reviews are pointless. This review will be pointless when weather and other online features as well as the extensive DLC hits. I have no idea what people expected from this game but so far it meets all my expectations except for weather and I am not going to dock it a point or two for that when so many trolls are on this game like fleas on crap. I cannot even believe some people these days. Apparently, every game now needs a rewind features and every game should allow you to drive through fields with Ferrari's. OKAY.

I feel the gunplay is mediocre in this game. I am somewhat biased but was nothing but curious to try out a Bungie game and actually maybe fall in love with one. It just isn't my type of thing. I feel the missions are samey, the gun sounds and graphics are average, and that the story is basically non-existent. I have no idea why people are trying to sell this game like it is the second coming. They tried this with Titanfall too. It didn't work. And I feel it won't work here. I don't know, my score will range from 5-7 on this game and nothing more. I give it a 5 because I simply don't like this auto-aim type gunplay. Killzone had a decent but as usual flawed single player, but it's MP I am say, and happy, to say is far above this and far more hardcore than what is being offered here. All of these games have problems though. None are perfect least of all this one.

The best looking next-gen game out atm. This is one damn fine game in gameplay, design, script, and GFX. The script itself makes the first two look horrid, esp the first one. The negative nutters and jealous little boys just can't stand how great this exclusive is. If you game on PC you should definitely be okay with the graphics here despite a little judder in framerate now and then. It's a beautiful game through and through and I am a PC snob at heart. Check this out.

Multiplayer is fantastic. The fact reviewers are basically being paid off or ignoring the multiplayer altogether says it all. BF4 has a worse campaign and gets stellar scores with basically the same multiplayer they had last time. The graphics in this game are unmatched at launch technically. I found the single player to be quite fun. It will get some patches to make some of the more difficult parts a little easier no doubt. I play on hard first time through and have been amazed, as a PC gamer with beast rig, that this system is outputting those visuals at launch. The OWL is tight as hell. The guns are amazing and the environments will keep you along on the ride with interest in what happens next. The story is okay. But this game is no C game. More like a B. Multiplayer so far is skill based. And it is awesome. No aim assist and very little input lag. The guns are balanced. They have patches in the works and the maps are free for the main modes, something that more people should be talking about. It really does amaze me at all the fanboyism in gaming today. Even the reviewers have become nothing but cynical hobbyists with absolutely no consistency in their views. There is simply no way this game is a lesser game than friggin' COD Ghosts. While the campaign isn't the greatest thing ever I had a lot of fun and that just carries over into the tough multiplayer which will be very offputting I hope for COD players.

Fantastic game. Utterly amazing what they have done in the last couple years. It went from crap to diamonds. The worlds are huge, the systems are amazing, and there is so much to do. Sure, it has a lot of fetchy stuff but they have worked their ass off to make this a great game living up to the legacy of FF. I'd honestly take these idiotic negative reviews with a grain of coarse salt. This is easily one of the best looking RPGs I have ever played with full settings and SGSSAA on PC at 1080p 60FPS. Do yourself a favor and try it out.

Easily the best offroad racing game out there. I play it on PC but the game is basically the same on all consoles minus the graphic tweaks. I cannot believe the low scores. The game is like MotorStorm: PR without all the vehicles and better graphics at least on PC. The jumps are insane in this game and remind of SSX of old times. Way off base here giving this 10 dollar title a 6. Go back to COD you ****. I got the DLC and game on Steam for 4 bucks and you can find sales on XBL and PSN as well. Full 10 because it's cheap and damn near a full game off road style. A lot of love was put into these tracks. The tournies have the usual Stunt, Clock, Race, etc. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this game. Insane air and tons of variety with the DLC. I thought they did the island theme about as good as it can possibly be done for DL title.

I could not be happier with my purchase. The servers can be a slight problem but I am hooked up directly to my modem in NAT1 and have next to zero issues finding games, though there is a low player count that the recent steam sales have helped by bundling the entire batman series for cheap. The graphics on max with forced 8xMSAA run very well on my 560ti and hold a constant 60fps. It isn't Crysis but it is a decetn looking game and oh so much better looking than the blurry and jaggy console versions. Just turn the in game FSAA off. This game has a lot of creativity for an FPS. Think Timesplitters and Team Fortress and some old fashioned COD type dm from older days mixed in with some wild gadgets and weaponry. There is actually a gun that fires a parrot and there are many gadgets like rollerskates and gliders to use. Too many different styles of play to list. You run into some wild variations. I prefer using my own PS3 pad and using the Huntsman rifle with its semi-auto tap fire. The LMG might be a little OP and I have noticed that on the PC end, even though I game with my PS3 pad and xpadder/motioninjoy, the snipers are MUCH better LOL. Anyway, I cannot recommend this game enough. I got for what is basically 5 dollars and I cannot put it down despite all kinds of great single player games to play. Something very addicting to it. If you have some change lying around pick it up. Leveling is easy just find a good combo and go with it. A decent amount of maps though I do wish there were more. 6v6 is about the right amount for a game like this. Buy it!
