Let me say first that there is nothing wrong with making a racially provocative show, or with trolling (in this case) narcissistic white people to expose racism. Or with making racially provocative satire. All good - and arguably necessary. The problem is —- Ziwe isn’t funny. She’s not witty. She’s not creative. She’s not particularly intelligent. She’s not talented. Anyone who finds this funny, must be, by definition, a simpleton. Even the brilliant Fran Lebowitz couldn’t save that dreadful first episode from itself.

The Mandalorian: Season 11

The first episode or two showed some potential, but then this series fell flat on its face. Just goes to to show you that you can slap the Star Wars brand on anything, and people will lap it up, no matter how tired it is. This series is basically one space freighter full of PG-rated crap with horribly lazy and amateur writing. Among the myriad of shortcomings, there are the following main turds points: - the main characters are wooden, boring, and horribly undeveloped - the acting is dull, lifeless, and corny - the bad guys are such incompetent weenies there is zero sense of tension; their ineptitude is supposed to be funny, but it’s just stupid - the famous actor cameos in each episode are distracting and the otherwise good actors are mired with weak, corny dialogue - our main character is supposed to come from this order of unprincipled, career bounty hunter/warriors, but he’s really just a soft wimp (who is not really a particularly skilled fighter) that doesn’t have a heart for hurting anyone, and yet somehow is able to dispatch countless bad guys, often without even hurting them. - his sidekick ex-shock trooper buddy is supposed to be believable as a great warrior basically because she has a lame 1990’s era armband tattoo. May the schlock be with you.

House of Lies: Season 12

The TV and Movies have just about a 100% hit rate in their failure to provide even the slightest taste of realism in any show that is centered around what writers believe is the "business world". 99% of investment bankers are not handsome, slick philanderers. They work 65 hours a week and are surprisingly conservative, amateur party animals at best. Attorneys at top law firms are a similar breed, but add an extra 10 to 20 hours of work per week. Management Consultants may very well be at the top of the "stuffed shirt' scale, and their profession may very well be the least interesting of the three, especially to watch. This being said, Don Cheadle and his team of frat boy wannabes totally miss the mark. This show fails at being satire because there isn't one grain of truth in their portrayal of the consulting business, or consultants. It fails at being a straight up comedy, because it's not even the slightest bit funny. It succeeds only in being a cheap rip off of Showtime's other show about decadent lifestyles, Californication. In a nutshell, this show needs to be destroyed as soon as possible.
