Honestly, there's a good game here. It's just buried under way too many bugs for me to actually believe this isn't a cashgrab, cyberpunk-was-postponed-so-let's-release-our-unfinished -game-to-cash-in-on-people-looking-for-something-to-play, type of thing. I've encountered more game breaking bugs in this game than any other AC I've played, and it's really frustrating the game was released in this state.

The weapon sounds are terrible - worse than on PS3 - and there is massive input lag when moving and aiming, which makes things very frustrating. The physics of vehicles seem far, far worse compared to the original, and the number of times Ive had a car or quadbike rocket away into the bushes, or seen NPCs in cars completely out of control, is embarrassing. Wait for an 80% or more discount if you want this game. Otherwise, play it on PS3 - I loved it when I played it the first time.

Im not a fan of pay to win, and dropping $100 on top of a $60 game to *maybe* get enough credits to buy out a *single* hero is ridiculous. Im not grinding for 40 hours, and Im not paying even more money.

This game is mediocre at best. If you take into consideration the abysmal PC launch (which in this review, I'm not) then it definitely warrants the giant, red, glaring 3.2 it is currently sitting at on metacritic. If you managed to ignore the hype, shady marketing practices and dont run into performance issues, this game might even be considered decent. If you want a list of things that the game promised before release but then reneged on, you can check out the "Where's the NMS we were sold on?" thread on reddit - it provides a pretty decent summary of interviews and gameplay trailers where Sean Murray explicitly stated things which are definitely not in the game. The hype that was generated was entirely the fault of Hello Games, and they deserve the flak they are getting for letting people down. As it stands, this game needs some serious patches to fix performance issues (which they are working on, so that's a good start) but what it really needed was a competent PR campaign and some honesty prior to launch. It did not need Sean Murray promising the universe and outright lying to people.

Mediocre at best. Pay to play (not even pay to win) or wait around for hours at a time. Not in the same league as Dungeon Keeper, but not exactly worth spending much time on. Download it, play for a bit, then delete it - thats what I did.

A game designed for mobile yet forced onto PC. Its not a good combination. If you dont mind playing for 10 minutes here, 30 minutes there and waiting around for hours at a time, then this game might be for you, except its pretty boring after the first couple of hours of play time. Nice sound and good visuals do little to compensate for such a poor port of a mobile game.

I absolutely refuse to support this game after the way ubisoft sold everyone on the games graphics last year, only to fail to deliver them. On top of which, it was recently discovered that the graphics for PC were limited on purpose - this is completely unacceptable, and I will not support a company that abuses its fan base so readily.
