This is hard I'd never thought I would rate a borderlands game under 8 and yes I played borderlands 3 through to completion even the dlc, I just haven't rated it on here yet because my feelings on that game are mixed I love/hate it and I can't begin to understand my feelings so I won't, But this game is different I generally feel like this game is MID as hell and for a borderlands game that's kind of unacceptable, maybe future dlcs will change that but I highly doubt it, my biggest problem is that they tried to lie and say this game is the first open world borderlands game, every borderlands game is open world, they are linear but that's more of a complaint with quest design, but ultimately I'm not mad about linear games far from it, the BioShock series proves that linear games can easily work wonders, but this game is still linear so wtf do they mean it's open world? Well it's just lazy game design essentially why make levels that are big expansive and filled with different iconography and landmarks to look at, when we can make a giant map that feels mostly the same every part your in and make it mostly empty, anyone who complained about previous game designs of making a hub world you bounce to, in between levels to sell stuff and change up your build is an idiot, literally that's the satisfying game loop duh, but they didn't even get rid of that just basically hid that stuff around random towns in the game forcing you to go back to those towns anyways, the game play loop used to be beat mission, go home, sell stuff to free up inventory, go back out to the next mission, now the game play loop is; do everything that you can, in your area, until you get full of guns, go to the nearest vending machine sell them all, and go back until you one hundred percent that area, at least I knew when the quests of previous games were over so I would wait until then, now it's Everytime I can't pick something up, I'm out, which yes is a hundred times more boring than doing a quest that I've done before, doing a laundry list if boring things constantly feeling like I'm making no progress when I'm beating the game is insanity, plus this is the only borderlands game I've literally did the same quest five times in a row because I kept missing collectables you can only find during that one mission, which again is definitely bad game design making items that must be collected but you cannot collect them yet because you have to traverse an area that's not open because it only opens during that quest is lame as hell, these people are high on their own fumes thinking otherwise, I can't believe this game is so fundamentally broken it hurts my heart

I love this game, it's great from the story line to the voice actors, to gameplay, everyone did a great job building the atmosphere and the world of Hogwarts to life, but having said that I do have thoughts like I said pros are good gameplay, good missions, good rewards, cosmetics are fun, it's not short, and this is the best Harry potter game a close second would be the GBC versions but I digress, this game's problems become evident real quick first after you take your time exploring every inch of the castle (I assume every Harry potter fan did this) if you didn't explore Hogwarts first thing I suggest going back and doing that, if you haven't played this game you're probably wondering how you don't properly explore Hogwarts in a game about Hogwarts, well sadly they introduced flu powder as a means of traveling Hogwarts even though this directly contradicts direct cannon that the flu network is monitored by the ministry of magic and that students at Hogwarts are not allowed to use the fireplaces around school so willy nilly to get from one class to another, and the game definitely suffers from that, anyone not in love with the series such as I wouldn't understand they think oh it's a convenient fast travel system like every game has, a game about Hogwarts where everything is loaded residually at once didn't need that at all, there's no reason to even explore Hogwarts because more than 65 percent of the game takes place outside of Hogwarts, once you get to hogsmeade there's no real reason to go back to Hogwarts except to the room of requirement to stock up on everything before next mission, I mean you'll be fast traveling there for quests but nothing interesting will ever happen there just the boring parts where characters explain exposition to each other, another thing combat is a bit weird but that's more to do with magic and things even JK Rowling couldn't understand when she invented the spells when writing the book, I wish our character can learn silent casting in the next game too but I highly doubt it, implementing that seems like a bad idea could break combat completely, being able to instantly cast the next spell would make us as cool as Dumbledore which sounds a little too op, all in all better than average game definitely worth playing

I'm not asking for yellow paint but if I open the crafting menu and can't figure out how to craft, you done messed up. It's like the developers don't want new players, everything about this game makes me want to play other crafting games, satisfactory for example, the cartoon art style of this game is just lazy game design, basically some YouTuber blew this game up in Early access a ton of other YouTubers sensing the content jumped on, enough people were tricked into buying this game so the devs took the money and ran, don't waste your time learning this system when there are better crafting exploring games out there, there's a reason you've never heard of another game by these guys, they think their crap don't stink and it shows with how they treat new players

I like the way cars drive each car feels different and based on real cars, it's better than gran turismo, with cooler customization with stickers and multiple sticker layers very cool, the games Ui is good too, no nasty micro transactions, good music too, plus you would think open world nfs game that's dope, but this game isn't above mid, here's why, first off the game doesn't know the difference between men and women, the woman voice actor for the main character sounds like a dude the whole game, way to represent woman by acting like they don't exist, woman clothes are just like the dudes clothes too, so no one is hot. NEXT, I CAN'T BEGIN TO DESCRIBE HOW ANNOYING THIS GAME PLAYS LIKE. Ground hogs day was a movie about bill Murray reliving one day, over and over again for what seems like years to him, one day which was the holiday; ground hogs day, what does this have to do with NFS, they decided to make that a mechanic in this game, each day you need to win races to win money to make your car better, buy new cars, and progress through the game. Each week your goal is to get enough money and your car to the appropriate class in order to take on a big race for a car and to further the story line along. I know what you may ask, what if you don't have enough money or whatever, no problem just go back one day keeping everything you have and just win more money to advance, well you can do it indefinitely so get used to hearing the same dialogue because the npcs tell you the same thing each day without being able to skip, yippee, but wait we haven't driven this mechanic far enough into your skull, we have to add a wanted level too because it's an open world racing game so we must compete with GTA online. Any way to make money in this game comes with some 'heat'. Fair enough but you cannot go home or enter a race while being pursued by cops, fair enough, what happens when you get six heat levels? Well every five seconds you'll run into a cop fair enough, where this unravels becomes clear, if you want to make money and progress you'll have to increase your heat level, and when you have enough money for that shiny car upgrade, you'll have to bring it home with you but uh oh you got six heat, you can try to save and quit out of a cop chase to cheese the game but when you come back to the game, what's this you spawn at a gas station with the same heat level, that's not near any race or your home garage, so you'll try to drive stealthy to a garage only for a cop to spawn on top of you, I literally spent like a hour and a half trying to get my money home, it's annoying and furthers the monotony presented here, get rid of this system and you have the best racing game of all time

Ok so micro transactions aside, let's say you're like me and enjoy this series because you can't afford to play golf IRL, well you're used to clunky menus and the gameplay so there's no need to describe that, how does it differ from the last game though? It actually doesn't, there are new personality types which doesn't add much to gameplay at all, when players said yeah I want more customization they didn't mean they wanted to answer random questions about a fictional golfer, give me more clothes and hairdos and body types instead of just A and B (yes minus one for not knowing the difference between a man and a woman) let me be a goblin or some kind of animal man or something crazy, all the clothes and accessories are hidden behind grind walls and it's all as generic as the last game, also there aren't any new courses I get it, it's professional golf so only professional courses but they broke up the game with training sections that could have easily been new amateur course holes there are literally thousands of them in America so there's no real excuse other than we had one year to make this game, the course maker was in the last game and it's like learning brail to understand how it works, playing online isn't very competitive, it feels like we're playing pve game because they just added emotes to this game so you can spam during shots which sounds really realistic and fun guys just saying, the fact this game has nines shows review scores are bought and paid for by EA, this whole game could have been dlc for 2024 and no one would have been the wiser, no wonder sony made this game the free game of the month, no one could have possibly bought this game at launch price and felt like they got their monies worth, it's a twenty dollar game, seriously mid
