really liked Doom Eternal on my One X on an 2017 LG OLED TV, but sadly this clown called Phil Spencer sacked Microsoft own 326Gbps 12G VRAM console, where most owners used NVMe drives with adapters, as the console woudl accept 26TB from 4 drives at once. So no support for Microsoft own legit 4K HDR console anymore.. continueing our Gamepass subscr. and purchasing Xbox games.. made no sense,.. Took the plunge for the first time ever to Sony PS5 PRO in 2024, and saw that Dark Ages had come there.. tried it on a trial, and could purchase it at a discount... but it was so far from what I liked on Eternal, and no use PSSR, so even at a discounted 25 euro.. I wouldnt, and I also gotta admit.. anything related to Microsoft & Xbox.. i have a hard time supporting... "Anything is an Xbox, just not their own 4K console One X" with massive 12GB of fast DDR5 VRAM, that Microsoft could easily port to as they port to way weaker devices.. even a highly demanding game like Jedi Survivor is a joy on One X, so ofcourse they could support their own devices, as their main agenda shoudl be to give as many people as possible an incentive to stay in their Game subscr... sadly we had purchased a couple of years GamePass Subscr. so 1½ year it just stood and wasted with no purpose... Well done Phil Spencer in destroying Xbox, and good luck with your 74 bio US Activision purchase (incl. merger fees).. a company with an annual profit around 1 to 1.3 bio. and likely lower now, after the fails and pre covid hype... Most estimates around 1 bio in profit annually, so 74x profit.. that is unheard.. a techcompany useally sell at around 15 to 25x profit, and if there are easy growth or synergies effect, it can raise to 30x.. Phil Spencer paid 74x.. its so far out of bounds... and no wonder Microsoft would love to do a Mulligan. In the trial of Doom the Dark **** much of the freedom and fast moving pace is gone.. the same I also like in games like Returnal... Im okay with Microsoft / Xbox failing, the sooner the better... the way you handled your One X owners... is hopefully gonna leave a mark.

Played on a 55" LG 2017 OLED on a PS5 PRO with the higher 2.5x resolution and higher textures, that are in play on the PRO version. Fantastic game, and it was this game I had in mind when purchasing the PS5 PRO. Am at the end of Biome 5, when writing this. Im an adult in my later 40s, and not many modern games appeal to me, as they are made to way younger audience, but I really like the soundstage and the mood of this game. Very immersive, but also difficult, and its that level of brutal difficulty in this foreign, unforgivable world, that just fits this game so well. I love that its so demanding, and you cant just wiggle your way out with some difficulty slider. Its the difficulty, that also makes the succes so rewarding. I hope that Saros havent undermined that aspect to much.
