Better Call Saul: Season 68
Apr 10, 2025
It's a good show. At times has slow boring parts, but overall a great story about a fascinating character. I don't get why so many call this a masterpiece though. Is it because of the pretentious black and white parts? The random parts, where nothing happens, but we see like a toaster? As a fan of Breaking Bad this show gave me a lot and I'm glad they made it. Not sure I could recommend it for someone, who never watched Breaking Bad.

Black Mirror: Season 62
Aug 26, 2023
I have ideas why, but it's still baffling to me, that they destroyed the concept of Black Mirror so thoroughly with this season. It's boring, too long, predictable, unrealistic, cowardly, stupid and many more negative adjectives. In one episode a women is literally turning into a werewolf, what the actual? If you're a fan of the early seasons, you can keep this unwatched. It's just the same name, but everything else is different.

Death Note5
Aug 22, 2020
I'm disappointed. Death Note is one of the most famous Anime and I was expecting quality similar to Ghost in the Shell, Hunter X Hunter and other greats. But this isn't even close. The concept is interesting and grasped my imagination. What would I have done? Well the characters in the show definitely acted different to what I would have done. It's basically a bunch of high school kids playing god. Easily offended and full of revenge. The goal seems to be winning, instead of being a true godlike character that doesn't care about small things. Just like what you have to expect from young adults. The original L is the only redeeming character and what kept me watching. I just like quirky but highly intellectual characters like Sherlock Holmes. Almost all female characters are horribly submissive, while portrait to be smart. That leads into a couple of sexists if not misogynistic jokes, this anime is definitely not from 2020. Visually and acoustically it's great.

Castlevania10

TLDR: Lovely vampire Samurai Champloo remake with comprehensible antagonists. I didn't watch it, when it first appeared on my Netflix account, because I watched too many Vampire themed stuff and got burned out by emotionless dudes being all powerfull and sexy. But people kept praising Castlevania, so I had to take a look: The vampire stuff is pretty much the same, just the most powerful ones are a little bit more humane e.g. have emotions. You'll see a badass women from the start, which gave me hope for refreshing strong female roles in this anime. The reasoning of the antagonists are understandable, which is sadly rare. The heroes throuple is basically the same as in Samurai Champloo: two dudes fighting with each other and a cute women between them. I like that she isn't helpless, compared to the dudes. The overall style and sound is lovingly put together. I find myself looking closely to the landscape, because it's frequently gorgeous.
