Game will launch but in low definition. Theres no way to fix it, spent hours trying to fix it. My rig can run most other games 4K max settings, but this game no matter for some reason is stuck in like 240P.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS. MaxiBoost ON2
Oct 18, 2020
It really hurts to give this rating, after the disaster that was Gundam Versus, and the marketing for this game, I had high hopes. So lets get the good out of the way first. It has a huge choice of mobile suits, and some that have never been in a game before (especially for the US), for me all I ever wanted was my 00 Qan[T], and this game has 2 versions of it. The other good part, at least over GV (Gundam Versus) is the Maxiboost missions. There is actually single player content in this game and you actually get all the mobile suits in the game and dont have to pay $5 per suit like GV (Why people thought that was ok, I have no idea.). The sound track is also decent. Now to see if I can sum up all the issues in a short, precise way. So I guess lets start off with what I can only describe as the "feel". You can tell this was meant for arcades, because theres a lot of colors and flashing going on and its not as good as it sounds. It sort of cheapens the experience and makes the game after the first couple games, shallow. That kind of bears out too, because as much as I disliked GV, the combat is missing something. The graphics are a bit arcadey too, GV had better graphics, this looks like a last gen title (at this point 2 gens ago) and I feel like they try to over compensate for that with the flashiness. I will also add just like the last game no English dub either, feels lazy. Next problem the AI, I have seen some others talk about this too, and it really does ruin the game. If theres one issue that ruins the game, this is it. On the easier difficulties its like too easy, where its not a challenge. Once the difficulty gets past a median point, it just goes from 0 - 100. AI wont take damage even from clear hits, will kill you in 1 combo sometimes even 1 hit (supposed to be impossible), get infinite boost when they feel like it, their shots will sometimes track you to a ridiculous extent thats down right impossible (beams, rockets, allied help, and other attacks will seriously do a 180 to hit you) , infinite ammo, and much much more BS. 1 piece of BS that needs special attention here is the melees. Their melee combos, for some reason they can keep up forever, even hitting you on the ground (your supposed to be invulnerable when your down, it works for AI); but with your combos you will get a few hits in and they go invulnerable. Thats if you can even hit them, because the tracking on melees is the worst I have even seen for the player. It is hard to continue a combo even while the opponent cant move. Not to mention the AI will have infinite boost and dodges so they just dodge non stop and will reverse your melees on you. They also have infinite block as well, thats not a huge deal though because they dont take damage when they dont feel like it anyways. Another problem is the targeting system/game design. Example: In GV if you and your partner were in a 2v2 (or 2v?) through positioning and commanding your partner you could basically make it 2 1v1s. In this game that is not going to happen. There is only 1 way you can play this game, and that alone really destroys the experience. Maybe I should have put this at the top (lol), but basically what happens is your partner sometimes will help you but its usually a 2v1 (you vs both AIs). This another reason melees cant be used in this game, when you go to melee 1 AI, the other just shoots you in the back, constantly. Remember what I said about the ridiculous tracking the AI can do? Yea even if you think, "I can melee, im moving fast they cant hit me". Boy you will quickly find out how wrong you are. Also not to make this longer, but the targeting system never works right, especially when your dealing with more than 2 enemies. Without fail, when you hit the switch target button it will switch to the target that is far away and not a threat, while the guy rushing you the targeting system will skip over. I really cant stress enough how bad the AI is in this game. This is what will make you throw your controller through your television screen. Theres a lot of other small issues (by that I mean BS) the AI commits against the player to add up to a terrible experience, but this would be many pages long, and I highlighted the major problems. I am pretty upset by this game, I actually bought it, and had high hopes for it. Best thing you can do is not buy it, not worth the time, money, and frustration. Sorry Gundam Fans.

Forza Horizon 42

So I am going to start this off to let you know Microsoft deletes bad reviews, at least on their store spaces (like Xbox, game pass, etc.) which is a red flag right there. They have deleted 3 of mine, and I didnt use any bad language and it was nothing but fair critisim. This game does have a lot of content and does look good, but there are so many issues that will leave you angry. Speaking of content, there is a lot, but its very repetitive, and unlike the previous Horizons, there is even less of a coherent story and world building. There is still a ton of people who cant even get the game to launch and support has been of 0 help. It happened to me too, but I found a way around it, did some searching on the internet and found a solution for myself. Its amazing how bad the support is for this game, and this is a wide spread issue. The next major issue with the game is there is no voice chat. I have had a support ticket for a year and still haven't had word back. So my guess is it will never work, and it really degrades the experience in so many ways since there is emphasis on social aspects. It is 100% broken it doesnt work even if your in a convoy together; it really makes it hard to communicate on team missions. So the next problem would take a lot to explain but I will try to give you the short and sweet version. The AIs since the last update (maybe a few updates ago) are all messed up now. Instead of the higher difficulties being smarter or better drivers, it just makes their cars faster (which is a HUGE problem because there are class limits) and defy physics. Again without writing a book, there are so many other things the AIs can do that will make you angry and just pull the realism out of the experience, but that's just a taste. The next thing is the physics, which I thought Forza was supposed to be like Gran Turismo and realistic, but sometimes the physics get a bit screwy. Especially against certain people online and the higher difficulty AIs, this is what will make you want to throw your controller through the TV. Theres nothing like when your about to win a long and difficult race, and then at the very end hit some kind of invisible wall, and loose everything. There are a lot of other annoyances that again will make you just say "What!? Why!?", but I have made this long enough, but know there are a lot of other issues I can point out.

Gundam Versus1

If you want a game the infuriates you this is your game. It hurts to write a review like this, I am a HUGE Gundam fan and this is the only Gundam game we have had here in the USA since Crossfire in 2006 (not including Dynasty Warriors Gundam games). So it really **** to have to say this about this game, now granted this game does have redeeming qualities about it, but it is over shadowed by the pure B.S. and frustration this game brings. So most of the good and bad things about this game have been talked about by others so I won't spend time going over that stuff again. So when you first start playing and your playing either easy or normal everything is fine for the most part. Usually I assume you just use easy to get the controls and maybe take a short time to conquer normal, after that on to hard right? This is where the frustration begins, so the lower tier hard enemies are no problem, they work right for the most part. When you get into the higher tiers like in the hard ultimate battle mode on round 50, get ready to throw your console out the window. Which by the way I might add you spend at least 20 minutes getting to round 50, and when you lose your reset back to start. I sit there and watch enemies literally get hit by my attacks not take any damage and instead beat me down while they are getting hit by me at the same time. They can cancel out your ultimate attack, but you can't hit them during theirs (your supposed to be able to). Don't even get me started on the melee BS with these enemies. When you try to melee them they become faster than you and run away, but when you try to run away from their melees, they will always catch you. Now in the game there is a little feature when anyone gets knocked down they are invulnerable for a second to get back up. These higher tier enemies abuse this and get this invulnerability at random, and can attack while they have it, not to mention they can attack you when you should be invulnerable. I can go on and on about the PURE BS GARBAGE, that this game will hand you, but I think you get the point; its like playing "I win" with a 3 year old. The other stuff: Music from the shows is good Audio and visuals are good Mobile suits are different and unique (this is a huge plus this the best thing about this game) A great variety in mobile suits Does have a few nice extras They were lazy no english dub and even the subtitles ****. The DLC thing is pure garbage, charging 5+ dollars per mobile suit and withholding them from the base game which is 60 bucks which was too high to begin with. There is a bunch of them too, if you wanted all of them you would spend 100s of dollars and there is no season pass or any discounts. The controls are a bit wonky. The multiplayer is a bit so-so, could use better servers, and doesn't always work. Doesn't really explain the different combos for different characters. No story or campaign mode Again its all over shadowed by the BS once you get past your first few times playing.
